Today marks the first Warframe gameplay ever shown to public eyes, and while it's all alpha footage right now, we like what Digital Extremes has to show.
The upcoming free-to-play shooter revolves around an ongoing war between the Tenno and the oppressive Grineer. Interestingly, Warframe is a cooperative PvE game, meaning all players will be Tenno, with the Grineer being the common enemy.
The game itself is named after the Tenno's unique Warframe weapons, exo-skeletal technology created by an ancient civilization and usable only by the Tenno. Go figure, it's just the advantage they need to drive the Grineer back in the war.
Closed beta will begin soon, though it hasn't been dated. Sign-ups started today, however, and we do recommend registering. If our suggestion isn't convincing enough, check the gameplay trailer -- then decide.
