People still buy PC games at retail outlets? But they're littered with DRM, SecuROM and CD requirements. The last game I bought at a store was StarCraft 2, and that was only to purchase the product key. Pre-downloaded the game, just needed the key. Haven't even taken the CD out of its packaging.

Digital games have DRM, too (including SecuROM). Oftentimes even moreso, since publishers are more wary about raw data. Disk requirements are rare for the games that require activation.

So they would rather make no money at all than still making tons of money? I don't see the logic.

Northern49@ I still see some folks still buying PC games from retail stores...Downloading or purchasing games from Steam is not always a first choice for PC gamers...Variation occurs at different levels!!!
