To move to a certain section, word or phrase of the guide, press and hold keyboard buttons “Ctrl” and “F”. A menu appears, in which you must type the name of the section, word or phrase; click buttons that enable moving forward or backward in locating the section, word or phrase.





Synopsis

In a previous adventure, a young boy named Link rescued a land called Hyrule from an evil king. Afterward, Link left Hyrule and embarked on another journey. During his travel, he was attacked by a masked child called the Skull Kid. Link then stumbled upon a strange land called Termina. Link must rescue Termina from a moon that will destroy the land in three days.



Overview

You are in control of Link. You must complete four areas of Termina. In each area, you must speak with citizens, solve troubles and access four temples. In each temple, you must defeat enemies and mini-bosses, solve puzzles, defeat a boss and rescue a guardian Giant (In each temple, you may optionally collect Stray Fairies, deposit them in a Fairy’s Fountain and receive an ability from a Great Fairy). After rescuing each Giant, you must enter a clock tower, confront the skull child and call upon the Giants to stop him. During your adventure, you will learn songs and may optionally complete side quests, collect masks, Heart Pieces, and receive item upgrades.




Controls

Buttons on a Nintendo 64 controller perform the following actions:

The L button shows and hides a map.

The R button is used to defend using a shield and change screens in the Start/Pause menu.

The Z button is used to look forward and target people, enemies and objects. It also changes screens in the Start/Pause menu.

The Control Pad has no function.

The Start button is used to pause the game and summon the Start/Pause menu.

The A button is used to confirm choices, roll, put away items, speak to people, read text, and play the Ocarina.

The B button is used to attack using the sword and cancel selections.

The top C-button is used to speak to Tatl or view from a first-person perspective. The left, right and bottom C-buttons are used to equip and use items and masks. All four buttons are used to play the Ocarina.

The Control Stick is used to highlight items among choices and move Link.




File Menu

Past a title screen, a file menu appears. You may create, select, copy and erase two files. As you create a file, you must create a name using characters such as letters, numbers and punctuation. Press an arrow button or the B button to delete a character. Press an “End” button to confirm the name.

You may also choose options. You may choose a sound from Stereo, Mono, Headset and Surround. You may choose a method of Z-targeting such as Switch and Hold. You may also adjust the brightness of your television screen indicated by bars; the bars appear dark as your screen is dark and visible as your screen is bright.



Start/Pause Menu

During gameplay, press the Start button to summon a menu of four screens. Press Z and R to change the screens. Use the Control Stick to highlight items, and press A to view information about them.

A “Quest Status” menu contains an optional Bomber’s Notebook, Heart Pieces collected, the remains of temple bosses, songs learned, and your Sword, Shield, Quiver and Bomb Bag.

A “Masks” menu contains masks collected. Press the left, right and bottom C-buttons to equip and use them.

A “Select Items” menu contains items collected. Press the left, right and bottom C-buttons to equip and use them.

A “Map” menu contains a map and places visited. Inside a dungeon, a map shows floors and rooms visited, optional Stray Fairies collected, and a Compass and Dungeon Map.




Status

During gameplay, a status is shown on the screen. A top-left corner shows Hearts and a bar of Magic. A top-right corner shows the A, B and C buttons and items and actions equipped to them. A bottom-left corner shows a number of Rupees; above it, a number of Small Keys is shown inside a dungeon. A bottom-center area shows the clock. A bottom-right corner shows a Map.




Battle Actions

While pressing Z or Z-targeting, move the Control Stick left or right, and press A to jump sideways.

Press A to roll. You can also roll by Z-targeting, moving the Control Stick forward and pressing A.

While pressing Z or Z-targeting, move the Control Stick down and press A to backflip.

Press B to swing Link’s sword horizontally.

While pressing Z or Z-targeting, press B to swing the sword vertically.

While pressing Z or Z-targeting, push the Control Stick forward and press B to thrust the sword.

While pressing Z or Z-targeting, press A to perform a jump attack using the sword.

Press R to crouch while defending using Link’s shield.

Press R and Z or Z-target to stand while defending using the shield.





The Beginning

In a clearing, Link appears riding a horse named Epona. Two sibling fairies named Tatl and Tael approach and startle Epona. Epona jumps and Link falls to the ground, unconscious.

The Skull Kid appears, wearing a mask. He approaches Link and takes his Ocarina. Link awakens and attempts to attack the Skull Kid. the Skull Kid dodges him and jumps on Epona, causing her to run. Link grabs the Skull Kid and is dragged along the clearing. Link is then thrown to the ground.

Begin moving and optionally cut bushes for Rupees. Enter an opening to another area. Optionally cut bushes that scurry. Approach and jump across stumps and enter another opening.

In a cavern, Link loses his footing and falls to the ground. the Skull Kid appears and informs Link he had disposed of Epona. the Skull Kid then curses and changes Link into a Deku Scrub. the Skull Kid and Tael exit an opening and a door closes, leaving Tatl behind with Link.

As a Deku Scrub, optionally cut bushes by spinning using the A button. Press A to open the door and move forward. Tatl appears and apologizes to Link for the previous attack. She offers to be Link’s partner and informs him of where he can find the Skull Kid. Continue moving and Tatl calls you. On the C-pad, press C-Up to listen to her. She informs that as a Deku Scrub, while standing atop a Deku Flower, you must press A to dive into the flower. Release A to emerge from the flower and use the Control Stick to move while flying. Press A to descend. While on the ground, press A to perform a Spin Attack.

(Note: As a Deku Scrub, you play pipes as a musical instruments. Deku Scrubs also die immediately from fire.)

Optionally move to a ground below and cut bushes for Rupees. Use Deku Flowers to return above. Use a Deku Flower to move to and enter an opposite door.

In another room, use Deku Flowers on platforms to move across. Be careful not to fall into an abyss. Approach and open a chest containing Deku Nuts (Deku Nuts stun enemies. While flying as a Deku Scrub, press the B button to drop Deku Nuts on enemies). Continue moving, and Tatl informs that the Z button is used to target distant people or objects or to look ahead. Fly to another platform and optionally examine a tree. Enter an opening.

Link walks across a twisted corridor that becomes upright as he approaches an opening to a Clock Tower. Move forward and across ramps. Approach doors and a voice speaks. A man introduces himself as the owner of a mask shop and informs that a mask was stolen from him by the Skull Kid. He informs Link that if he retrieves his Ocarina, he will transform Link into his original shape. He asks that Link retrieve the stolen mask in exchange. Exit the doors and enter a town called Clock Town. 



Clock Town

Words appear reading “Dawn of The First Day -72 Hours Remain-”. In three days, a moon destroys the land.

Tatl informs Link to visit a Great Fairy in North Clock Town.

Explore Clock Town and speak with citizens.

South Clock Town

In South Clock Town, move forward and avoid a dog. Approach a yellow Deku Flower and a Business Scrub appears. He offers you the flower if you give him a Moon’s Tear (After giving him a Moon’s Tear, use the flower to reach the Clock Tower and collect Heart Piece 1.). 

An entrance to West Clock Town lies next to the flower.

The entrance to the Laundry Pool lies above stairs. An entrance to East Clock Town lies near an exit gate.

Two entrances on opposite sides of the Clock Tower lead to West Clock Town and East Clock Town. An entrance behind the tower leads to North Clock Town. 

An Owl Statue lies between the Clock Tower and West Clock Town. You must activate it using a sword, allowing you to save game progress and quit.

(On the final day, a chest containing a Purple Rupee lies atop a tower. Use the Deku Flower to reach a near roof and Hookshot to the chest.)

Each area of Clock Town has a gate leading to an exit, but guards will not allow Link to leave as a Deku Scrub.

Inside the Laundry Pool, smash a crate for a Blue Rupee. Ring a doorbell, and a boy appears from a door. You are unable to speak to him or enter the door.

North Clock Town

In North Clock Town, speak to a man named Tingle and purchase a Clock Town map for 5 Rupees. Although not necessary, optionally purchase a map of an area called Woodfall for 40 Rupees. On a map, a red arrow indicates an area you entered and a yellow arrow indicates your current location.

Enter a Fairy’s Fountain. Inside, a Great Fairy informs that the Skull Kid shattered her into Stray Fairies. She asks you to find and return a lost Stray Fairy.

Near the Fairy’s Fountain, use a Deku Flower to move across a fence. Enter a hole leading to a Deku Scrub Playground, open from 6:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. You may play a game for 10 Rupees. (Win the game on all three days to receive Heart Piece 2.)

North Clock Town contains an entrance to East Clock Town.

West Clock Town

West Clock Town contains two roads and a square. One road contains shops called Curiosity Shop, Trading Post and Bomb Shop and another contains a bank. The square contains a Lottery Shop, Swordsman’s School and Post Office.

The Curiosity Shop opens from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Inside, you may sell bottled items for 20 Rupees. (You receive 5 Rupees for selling a Mushroom, 50 for a Poe, 200 for a Big Poe and 200 for Gold Dust.)

The Trading Post is open 24 hours, and you may buy items. Red Potion costs 30 Rupees, Green Potion costs 30 Rupees, a Hero’s Shield costs 80 Rupees, a Fairy costs 50 Rupees, a Deku Stick costs 10 Rupees, 10 Deku Nuts cost 30 Rupees, 30 Arrows cost 30 Rupees, and 50 Arrows cost 40 Rupees.

 (Inside the shop, speak to a scarecrow who offers to dance until dawn or night of each day. He offers to teach a familiar song and informs he wants to learn a song.)

The Bomb Shop is open 24 hours, and you may buy explosives. 10 Bombs cost 30 Rupees, 10 Bombchu cost 40 Rupees and a Bomb Bag costs 50 Rupees. You must buy a Bomb Bag to carry and purchase Bombs. Speak to a Goron who sells Powder Kegs, but you must be a Goron to purchase them.

At the bank, you may deposit or withdraw Rupees.

The Swordsman’s School is open 24 hours. You may pay 1 Rupee to learn battle moves. (You may pay 10 Rupees to complete an Expert Course and receive Heart Piece 6.)

The Post Office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (When a postman returns to the office, speak to him and win his challenge to receive Heart Piece 3.)

Inside the Lottery Shop. you may guess a three-digit number from 6:00 a.m. to 5:59 p.m. The correct number is announced from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. If you choose the correct number, you receive 50 Rupees. 

East Clock Town

In East Clock Town, a square contains places called Treasure Chest Shop, Town Shooting Gallery, Honey and Darling’s Shop, Milk Bar and Stock Pot Inn. A Mayor’s Residence lies above stairs.

The Treasure Chest Shop is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The price to play a game and prize varies from species.

     You must move past rising tiles to a chest on the opposite end under.

The Town Shooting Gallery is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. You must pay 20 Rupees and have a bow to play. 

     You must shoot red Octoroks (each worth 1 point) under one minute and fifteen seconds. If you shoot blue Octoroks, you lose three seconds. (You must score 40 points or higher to receive a Large Quiver and obtain a perfect score of 50 to receive Heart Piece 17.)

Honey and Darling’s Shop is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. You must pay 10 Rupees and have Bombs, Bombchu and Arrows to play games on each day.

     On Bombchu Gallery day, you must use Bombchu to destroy eight targets in under one minute.

On Basket Bomb day, you must throw Bombs in eight baskets in under one minute.

On Target Shooting day, you must fire Arrows at 16 moving targets in under one minute.

(You receive Heart Piece 18 if you achieve perfect scores on each day.)

The Milk Bar opens from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. You must be a member to enter. You may purchase Milk for 20 Rupees and Chateau Romani for 200 Rupees.

The Stock Pot Inn is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and contains two floors.

     On the first floor, enter a restroom (At midnight, a hand appears. Give the hand a deed or letter to receive Heart Piece 4.). Enter a door and speak to an elderly woman, who offers to read stories. A kitchen lies next to the door.

On the second floor, you are unable to enter two of three doors. Enter the third door and speak to guests.

(Between the inn and Treasure Chest Shop, use a Deku Flower to reach and enter a door on the inn roof.).

The Mayor’s Residence is open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

     Enter a right door and speak to a woman named Madame Aroma, who speaks of her missing son named Kafei. Speak to a Zora named Toto, who speaks of a Zora band. In the room, optionally enter a door. Move behind a curtain and read Kafei’s Diary.

Enter a left door and speak to a man named Mayor Dotour, who holds a meeting between soldiers and carpenters.

Near the Mayor’s Residence, speak to a boy in front of an entrance. He informs that to enter an observatory, a code must be entered. To learn the code, speak to a boy named Jim in North Clock Town.

Move across stairs to a balcony and read a sign that explains a group called the Bombers.


The Great Fairy in North Clock Town asks you to find a Stray Fairy. The Stray Fairy is in the Laundry Pool during the day and East Clock Town at night. Return the fairy to the fountain, and the Great Fairy gives you Magic Power. Using Magic Power as a Deku Scrub, press B to shoot a bubble. Press and hold B to shoot a big bubble. The Great Fairy informs Link to visit her after he is returned to normal. Exit the fountain.

In North Clock Town, speak to a boy named Jim and burst a balloon using a bubble. Jim then challenges you to find him and four boys.

In North Clock Town, a boy hides behind a tree near the Fairy’s Fountain and Jim hides near a slide. In East Clock Town, a boy hides on the Milk Bar roof and another on the inn roof. Another boy hides in the West Clock Town square.

After finding the boys, you receive a five-digit code. (If you forget the code, ask any of the boys.) In East Clock Town, enter the code to the boy near the Mayor’s Residence and enter an opening.

Inside, move across water. (An alcove lies to a left area. Behind a cracked wall, a chest contains a Silver Rupee.) Move across ledges and defeat a Skulltula. 

Continue moving and burst a balloon. Break pots for items. Climb a ladder and enter an observatory. Break pots for Rupees. (Speak to a scarecrow who offers to dance until dawn or night. He offers to teach a familiar song and informs he wants to learn a song.)

Move across stairs and speak to a man. Look into his telescope and gaze around an area called Termina Field. Zoom on the Skull Kid atop the Clock Tower. A Moon’s Tear falls from the moon. Exit the observatory and collect it. 

In South Clock Town, give the Moon’s Tear to the Business Scrub, and use the Deku Flower to reach the Clock Tower.

At midnight on the third day, enter the tower and meet the Skull Kid. Break jars for Magic Potion. Shoot a bubble at the Skull Kid, and he drops the Ocarina. Retrieve it. To play the Ocarina, press A and C-pad buttons Up, Down, Left and Right. Press B to stop. 

In a flashback, Princess Zelda gives Link the Ocarina and teaches him the Song of Time. To play the Song of Time, press Right, A, Down, Right, A, Down. In the Clock Tower, play the Song of Time to save and return to the first day.

(Note: After learning the Song of Time, speak to a scarecrow in the Trading Post or observatory to learn the Inverted Song of Time [Down, A, Right, Down, A, Right] and the Double Song of Time [Right, Right, A, A, Down, Down]. The Inverted Song of Time slows time, and the Double Song of Time advances time to dawn or night.)

In Clock Town, enter the tower and speak to the mask salesman. He teaches a melody called the Song of Healing. To play it, press Left, Right, Down, Left, Right, Down. Link returns to normal, and a Deku Mask appears. Wear the mask to change into a Deku Scrub.

The salesman then explains the nature of the mask the Skull Kid wears called Majora‘s Mask. Afterward, exit the tower.

(Note: Strike the Owl Statue using Link‘s Kokiri Sword, allowing you to save game progress. After you save at an Owl Statue, an Owl appears next to your file in the File Select Menu. If you reset the game without saving at a statue, you lose progress and return to the first day.) 

(Note: After returning to Clock Town as Link, enter the Fairy’s Fountain, and the Great Fairy gives you the Great Fairy’s Mask. Next, refer to the Bombers Notebook in this guide and help people listed 1 through 6. Next, collect Heart Pieces 5, 6 and 7.)

In South Clock Town, approach the exit, and enter Termina Field.




Termina Field

In south Termina Field, defeat a Green Chuchu for Magic Potion and cut bushes for items. Under a hood, plant a Bomb to reveal a hole (Inside, play Epona’s Song for two cows to receive Milk.).

Near the hood, a chest atop a stump contains a Red Rupee. You can reach it using a Hookshot or planting and watering a Magic Bean in a soil patch.

Move toward grass and defeat Bad Bats. Move among the grass and defeat Deku Babas. A chest in a corner contains a Red Rupee.

Near an opening, approach a tree containing a drawing. Tatl reminisces about meeting the Skull Kid and obtaining Majora’s Mask.

Past the tree, approach grass and defeat a Deku Baba. Cut bushes and defeat a Red Chuchu for Hearts or Rupees. Enter a hole near the grass. (Inside, defeat Skulltulas. While facing four Gossip Stones, you must play one of three songs [Sonata of Awakening, Goron Lullaby, or New Wave Bossa Nova] in four holes to receive Heart Piece 15.)

Past the hole, move among more grass. Defeat a Deku Baba and enter a hole. (Inside, defeat a Peahat by attacking its root, and open a chest containing Heart Piece 8.)

Near the grass, avoid a Takkuri near an entrance to Milk Road. It steals your items and sword, which you must buy from the Curiosity Shop. Defeat the Takkuri to receive a Huge Rupee. Cut bushes for items and enter Milk Road.

In Milk Road, strike an Owl Statue. Approach Tingle and purchase a map of Romani Ranch for 20 Rupees; although not necessary, purchase a map of Great Bay for 40 Rupees. A boulder blocks the entrance to Romani Ranch, but the entrance opens on the third day. 

Near the Owl Statue, enter the Gorman Track. You must have a horse to race the Gorman Brothers. Purchasing Milk for 50 Rupees is not necessary.

Past the Milk Road entrance, move to a sandy area. You must be a Zora to open a chest underwater containing a Red Rupee. Continue moving and defeat Leevers. Destroy a boulder to reveal a hole. (Inside, defeat Bio Deku Babas. Destroy beehives and Heart Piece 25 appears. Dive underwater as a Zora to collect it.)

Move across a ramp. Collect Rupees inside water pillars. Continue moving and destroy a boulder to reveal a hole. (Inside, you must play one of three songs while facing Gossip Stones to receive a Heart Piece.)

Move to a snowy area and down a slope. (Approach a staff containing notes. Play the notes to receive Rupees.)

Among mushroom-shaped pillars, defeat Dodongos. Strike a Dodongo’s tail and quickly move before it unleashes fire.

Enter a hole. (Inside, defeat two Dodongos and open a chest containing Heart Piece 9.) Move across the slope to the top.

Continue moving and enter a hole. (Inside, you must play one of three songs while facing Gossip Stones to receive a Heart Piece.)

Move along and approach columns. Defeat Real Bombchu. Use your shield to deflect a Real Bombchu, causing it to fall and die.

Climb a front, right column and enter a hole. (Inside, defeat Deku Babas. Open a chest containing Bombchu.) Climb a center, left column and collect a Red Rupee. Near the columns, plant and water a Magic Bean and ride a Magic Plant around them.

Move to the observatory and enter a hole. (Inside, you must play one of three songs while facing Gossip Stones to receive a Heart Piece.)

Near the observatory, enter a hole among trees. (In the Astral Observatory, look into the telescope, and a Business Scrub enters a hole. Inside, speak to him, and he offers Heart Piece 10 for 150 Rupees. Reject that offer and pay 100 Rupees for the Heart Piece.)

Near the observatory, roll into a tree and collect Red Rupees.

At night, Blue Bubbles roam south and east Termina Field. To defeat a Blue Bubble, extinguish its flame using the shield and strike it. If one touches you, you are cursed and temporarily unable to use your sword (To lift the curse, use a Fairy or play the Song of Storms.).

At night, Eenos roam north Termina Field and attack with snowballs. They immediately die when attacked with fire. Large Eenos disperse into three Eenos when struck. 




Woodfall

In south Termina Field, enter the entrance near the tree containing the Skull Kid’s drawing.

In another area, defeat Chuchus and cut bushes. (Near a tree, defeat Bad Bats. Climb the tree and collect Heart Piece 11.)

(Enter a hole. Inside, cut bushes and defeat Deku Babas. Open a chest containing a Red Rupee.)

Move past trees and enter a Swamp Shooting Gallery that is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.. You must pay 20 Rupees and have a bow to play. 

     (You must obtain a score of 2120 to receive the Largest Quiver and the same score a second time to receive Heart Piece 19. While playing the game, you must shoot four groups of five Deku Scrubs, each worth 30 points, a Scrub on a left cliff that is worth 100 points, another Scrub on a right tree branch that is worth 100 points, four groups of three Guays, each worth 60 points and 6 Wolfoses, each worth 100 points.)

Approach Tingle and purchase a Woodfall map for 20 Rupees; although not necessary, purchase a Snowhead map for 40 Rupees. Move forward and enter another area.

Southern Swamp

In Southern Swamp, strike an Owl Statue and cut sprouts and bushes for items. A Big Octo blocks an entrance. Climb a ladder to a Tourist Information hut. As a Deku, speak to a Business Scrub, who offers Magic Beans for 10 Rupees. (As Link, give him the Land Title Deed, and use his flower to fly atop the hut and collect Heart Piece 12.)

Inside the hut, a man informs you must take a boat cruise to receive a Pictograph Box. (After receiving the Pictograph Box, take a photo of Tingle or a Deku King. Show the photo to the man to receive Heart Piece 13.) Exit.

Swim across water or hop across lily pads as a Deku. An area contains a Magic Hags’ Potion Shop and Woods of Mystery. Move further to an area of red flowers. A beehive on a wall contains a Red Rupee. Defeat an Octorok and collect Rupees. A Big Octo you cannot defeat blocks an entrance.

Past the Big Octo lies poisoned water, a Deku Palace and a Swamp Spider House.

In the swamp, move to the area containing the potion shop and woods. Defeat Deku Babas. Cut bushes for items. Climb a ladder and enter a Magic Hags’ Potion Shop. Inside, a witch named Kotake asks you to find her sister named Koume. In the shop, Blue Potion costs 60 Rupees, Green Potion costs 10 Rupees and Red Potion costs 20 Rupees.

Near the shop, enter the Woods of Mystery.

Woods of Mystery

Inside Woods of Mystery, speak to and follow a monkey. The path through the woods differs on each day.

On the first day in the woods, enter a left opening to an area and enter a right opening to another. Enter another right opening and move forward to another. Enter a left opening and another left to reach Koume.

On the second day, enter a right opening. (In that area, enter a hole. Inside, defeat Babas and open a chest containing a Purple Rupee.) In another area, enter a left opening. Move forward to another area and left to another. Enter a left opening and a right to reach Koume.

On the third day, move forward to an area. Enter a left opening and a right. Enter another right opening and move forward to an area. Enter a right opening to reach Koume.

(Kotake appears in the woods on the second and third days.) 

While following the monkey, avoid Snappers. You reach Koume, who asks for Red Potion. Return to the potion shop and Kotake gives you a Bottle of Red Potion (Bottle 1). Return to the woods and give Koume the potion. She offers you a free boat cruise.


After exiting the woods, three monkeys ask you to help their brother.


Return to the hut and speak to Koume. She gives you the Pictograph Box (Take photos of the swamp to receive prizes; you receive 5 Rupees or a boat cruise for a standard photo and 20 Rupees or a boat cruise for a photo of a Big Octo.) You then ride the boat.

Ride the boat through the swamp. The boat destroys a Big Octo and you reach the Deku Palace. Disembark and enter.

Deku Palace

In the Deku Palace, change into a Deku and speak to Deku guards. Move forward and enter a chamber. Inside, speak to a king and Deku Scrubs, who accuse a monkey of kidnapping a princess. Approach a cage and speak to the monkey. Exit.

Another monkey informs that to reach his brother’s cage, you must visit the Outer Palace Garden and plant and water a Magic Bean in soil. 

(From the chamber, enter the right Inner Palace Garden and collect Heart Piece 14.) 

From the chamber, enter the left Inner Palace Garden. Move past guards when they face opposite of you. Collect Rupees in a corner and enter another area. Move past guards and enter a hole.

Inside, speak to a man and purchase Magic Beans. Cut bushes for items. (Plant a bean in soil. Collect water in a Bottle and water the plant. Ride the plant to a chest containing a Red Rupee.) Exit.

Outside the palace, hop across lily pads to the Outer Palace Garden. Plant and water a Magic Bean in soil. Ride the plant to a top area. Use a Deku Flower to reach a moving platform containing a flower. Defeat a Mad Scrub on a platform using the Bubble Blast. Use the flower to reach the platform. Use its flower to reach another moving platform and repeat the process. Move across a bridge to another area.

Defeat a Mad Scrub and move to its platform. Use a flower to reach a moving platform. Defeat another Mad Scrub and move to its platform. Use its flower to reach another moving platform. When the platform reaches an entrance, use its flower to enter.

Inside the chamber, speak to the monkey. As a Deku, produce the pipes. The monkey informs of a shortcut to the Woodfall Temple and teaches the Sonata of Awakening - Up, Left, Up, Left, A, Right, A.

(Note: After learning the Sonata of Awakening, collect Heart Piece 15.)

Outside the palace, hop across lily pads to a Deku Flower. Use it to reach an entrance and exit.


In the swamp, move to a large flower. To defeat Dragonflies, emerge from a Deku Flower when they move above you. Move across large flowers using Deku Flowers and approach an owl, who speaks of Owl Statues. Afterward, read a scripture to learn the Song of Soaring - Down, Left, Up, Down, Left, Up. Use a flower to move to a platform. Enter an entrance.

Woodfall

Inside Woodfall, move right across water to planks. Defeat a Hiploop. Defeat another Hiploop and Mad Scrub. Use a flower to reach more planks. Defeat Mad Scrubs and use a flower to reach a big platform. Strike an Owl Statue.

(Use a Deku Flower to reach a stump. Open a chest containing a Blue Rupee. Hop across water to a plank. Defeat a Hiploop and Mad Scrub. Use a flower to reach a stump and defeat another Mad Scrub. Use a flower to reach another plank and defeat Mad Scrubs. Open a chest containing Heart Piece 16. Use a flower to reach a chest containing a Red Rupee. Move to the entrance and return to the big platform.)

On the platform, use a Deku Flower to reach a stump. Defeat a Mad Scrub and use a flower to reach an entrance to a Fairy‘s Fountain. Inside, a Great Fairy asks you to find Stray Fairies in Woodfall Temple. 

Near the statue, break pots for items. Stand atop a Deku Scrub mark and play the Sonata of Awakening using the pipes. The Woodfall Temple rises. Use the Deku Flower to reach the temple and enter.

Woodfall Temple

In the first room of the temple, wear the Great Fairy’s Mask to collect a Stray Fairy. 

(A beehive on a tree contains Rupees. On the ground, defeat Black Boes and cut sprouts for items.)

Use a flower to reach a chest containing a Stray Fairy. Use more flowers to reach an opposite door. Defeat Skulltulas and enter.

In a central room containing a wooden flower, avoid poisoned water. Defeat a Deku Baba and move down a ramp. Near a locked door, defeat a Deku Baba and collect a Stray Fairy.

As a Deku, move across flowers (You must not move across them as Link; they will chew and throw him in the water.). Move to barrels in a corner. Break them and collect a Stray Fairy.

Enter an opposite door.

In another room, move to a flower and use it to reach a chest containing a Small Key. Near the chest, a beehive contains a Stray Fairy. Enter an opposite door.

In another room, defeat Snappers. Burrow into a Deku Flower and emerge when a Snapper moves above you. Afterward, a chest appears containing a Dungeon Map. In the Map menu in the Start/Pause menu, use the Control Stick to view floors. Blue areas are places you have visited, and a flashing room indicates your current location. Exit and return to the central room.

In the central room, move to the previously locked door and enter.

In another room, pull out a block. As a Deku, hop across water to a boardwalk. An above hive under a ledge contains a Stray Fairy; be careful of a Giant Bee in another hive. Move across the boardwalk and defeat a Skulltula containing a Stray Fairy. Light a Deku Stick from a torch. Quickly move to another torch and light it to unlock a barred door. Enter.

In another room, defeat Dragonflies. Burrow into Deku Flowers and emerge when the enemies move above you. Afterward, open a chest containing a Compass. Use the Compass to locate hidden items on the map. Exit.

In the previous room, light a Deku Stick from a torch. Move across stairs and light another torch. Move across platforms and burn a web using the stick. Defeat enemies and proceed.

In a dark room, defeat Black Boes near the entrance, torches and a center torch. A chest appears containing a Stray Fairy. Use a Deku Stick to light the torches and unlock a barred door. Exit.

In another room, use Deku Flowers to move across moving platforms. Defeat Dragonflies. (On a ground below, sprouts contain items and square holes lead to the central room.) Exit an opposite entrance.

Atop the second floor of the central room, press a switch; ladders appear enabling access to the top and bottom floors. Move to a barred door and collect a Stray Fairy inside a bubble. 

Enter a door to a previous room. Inside, enter an opposite door.

You must fight a Dinofols. While defending, strike it using the sword and avoid its fiery breath. Repeat this until it is defeated. A chest appears containing a Hero’s Bow, enabling you to use Arrows.

In the previous room, shoot a diamond eye using an arrow and a platform ascends. Use a Deku Flower to reach the platform and use its flower to reach and enter a door.

You must fight a Gekko. Strike it using the sword a few times, and it summons a Snapper. Quickly burrow into a Deku Flower. When the Gekko and Snapper move above you, emerge from the flower to separate them. Strike the Gekko using an Arrow and repeat the attack until it is defeated. Enter a door and open a chest containing a Boss Key. Exit.

Return to the central room and the room containing the boardwalk. Underneath the boardwalk, use an Arrow to destroy a bubble containing a Stray Fairy. 

On the top floor of the central room, use a Deku Flower to reach a stump. Press a switch and a chest appears, containing a Stray Fairy. Next, fire an arrow through a lit torch to light a torch on the wooden flower. The flower rises and the poison water clears. Next, fire an Arrow through the torch on the flower to light a torch on the stump. A barred door unlocks. Enter.

In another room, defeat Dragonflies and Skulltulas using Arrows. Use an Arrow to burst a bubble containing a Stray Fairy. Move down a ladder near a Deku Flower. (Optionally use the flower to reach Blue Rupees.) Use the flower to reach left alcoves. Move upward and burst a bubble containing a Stray Fairy. Use the flower near the ladder to reach right alcoves. Burst another bubble containing a Stray Fairy. Continue upward and burst a bubble containing a final Stray Fairy.

Hit a diamond switch using an Arrow, causing fire on pillars to temporarily dwindle. Use a Deku Flower to reach a flower on a pillar. (Optionally collect Red Rupees on pillars.) Use that flower to reach an opposite door and enter the boss room.

Masked Jungle Warrior Odolwa

Move forward and Odolwa appears. If you approach him, he strikes you, so defend using your shield. You may strike him as he dances or stun him using an Arrow and then approach and strike him. Defend as he lunges at you and spins his sword. He summons creatures you must defeat and fire you must avoid. Odolwa also summons insects, but the fire destroys them. Continue striking Odolwa until he is defeated. Afterward, collect a Heart Container and Odolwa’s Remains.

In a surreal area, a guardian Giant wails a song called the Oath to Order. To play it, press Right, Down, A, Down, Right, Up.


(Note: After completing the temple, return to the Fairy’s Fountain in Woodfall and deposit the Stray Fairies. The Great Fairy of Power appears and teaches you the Spin Attack. To perform it, press and hold B to fill the sword with magic and release B to spin. To create energy without charging the sword, rotate the Control Stick once and release B.)

(Note: After completing the temple, you may collect the Mask of Scents. After obtaining the bow, you may collect Heart Pieces 17, 18, 19 and 20.)




Snowhead

Exit North Clock Town to north Termina Field. Move down a snowy slope and across an area of mushroom-shaped pillars. Move across slopes to a glacier. Do not touch the glacier, or you will freeze. Fire two Arrows at an above icicle to destroy the glacier and enter.

In another area, defeat Blue Tektites and use Bombs to destroy snow boulders for items. Move across a slope and bomb a group of snow boulders to continue. Move across steps and across a slope to an opening.

Mountain Village

Inside Mountain Village, break snowballs and bomb snow boulders for items. Defeat Blue Tektites. 

Move toward a cabin. Inside, a blacksmith sharpens swords, but is unable to because of a glaciered hearth (Hot Spring Water will melt the glacier.). (A scarecrow from the Trading Post or Astral Observatory appears atop the cabin when you play its song. Hookshot to the scarecrow, and break a pot for a Fairy.)

Move near a bridge and speak to a Goron atop a ledge. Move across the bridge and strike an Owl Statue near a river of icebergs.

Move behind the cabin and enter an opening.

In another area, defeat a Tektite. Left ramps lead to a Goron Racetrack (A scarecrow from the Trading Post or Astral Observatory appears atop the ramps.). Move across bridges and defeat White Wolfoses. (To instantly defeat a Wolfos, move away as it swipes and when it exposes its back, attack it using a jump attack.)

Purchase a Snowhead map from Tingle for 20 Rupees. (Although not necessary, purchase a Romani Ranch map for 40 Rupees.)

(Move down a ramp to a bottom area and bomb snow boulders for items. Be careful of boulders containing a Blue Tektite, Snapper and White Wolfos. A larger boulder contains a frozen elderly Goron.)

(Continue moving and approach a glaciered hole. Melt the glacier using Hot Spring Water or wait until spring arrives. Inside the hole containing hot water, defeat Babas. Bomb boulders and open a chest containing a Red Rupee.)

Continue across the bridges and enter an opening.

Goron Village

In Goron Village, move left and across either a path against a wall or a center path. At the end of the path, move down a slope. (A path between two walls leads to a winding slope. Move around the slope, across a bridge, and past a Goron back to the entrance.) Move left around a bottom area. Bomb snow boulders for items. Move past a glaciered opening leading to a Goron Powder Keg Shop, past an entrance to a Goron Shrine and approach a Business Scrub, who sells Bomb Bags. (As a Deku Scrub, give him a Swamp Title Deed and use his flower to reach Heart Piece 22 atop a ledge.)

Continue moving and speak to an owl. He places feathers on invisible stones leading to an opposite shrine. Carefully move across the stones and enter the shrine.

Inside, open a chest containing a Lens of Truth, an item that enables you to see invisible objects (Tip: To conserve Magic Power while using the item, rapidly tap the C-button it is equipped to.).

Defeat an invisible Skulltula. Cut bushes for items and open a chest containing a Red Rupee. Use Bombs to destroy boulders; one holds a chest containing a Purple Rupee. Exit the shrine.


Outside, use the Lens of Truth to move across stones and speak to a ghost of a Goron. Follow him through Goron Village, the previous area of bridges and Mountain Village to a river. Move across icebergs to an opposite ledge and use the Lens of Truth to climb an invisible ladder. Climb up and move right at a fork. Continue climbing and move left at another fork. Move right at another fork and climb to the top. Follow the Goron to a Goron Graveyard.

Inside, speak to the Goron named Darmani. Play the Song of Healing for him and a Goron Mask appears, enabling you to change into a Goron. Afterward, read a grave that speaks of techniques to use as a Goron. As a Goron, press A to curl and use the control stick to move; using Magic Power, spikes emerge. After pressing A to curl, press B to pound. Press B to punch and B repeatedly to release a series of punches. Gorons play instrumental drums and immediately die when placed in water. Gorons can also move across lava and punch away boulders.

(Note: After gaining the ability to change into a Goron, you may collect Heart Piece 23.)

Return to Goron Village. Speak to a Goron, who opens the entrance to Goron Shrine. Enter.

Inside Goron Shrine, speak to Gorons and break pots for items. (In a Goron Shop, 10 Bombs cost 40 Rupees [10 Rupees in spring], 10 Arrows cost 40 Rupees [20 Rupees in spring], and Red Potion costs 80 Rupees [50 Rupees in spring].)

Move across a winding path and enter a room containing a crying, infant Goron. Speak to him as a Goron and exit.

Return to the Goron Graveyard. Move behind the grave and pull it backward, releasing Hot Spring Water. Collect the water in a Bottle and exit. Quickly return to the area of bridges and destroy the snow boulder containing the frozen Goron Elder. Use the Hot Spring Water to melt the ice and speak to him. He teaches a melody called the Lullaby Intro - A, Right, Left, A, Right, Left.

Return to Goron Village and play the Lullaby Intro for the infant Goron. He completes it as the Goron Lullaby - A, Right, Left, A, Right, Left, Right, A - and falls to sleep.

(Note: After learning the Goron Lullaby, you may collect Don Gero’s Mask.)

In Mountain Village, enter an opening next to the Owl Statue.

In another area, defeat an Ice Keese. As a Goron, roll and produce speed to move over a gap to an opposite cliff. Move forward and destroy rolling snow boulders. Roll over another gap to another cliff. (Place a Bomb in the center of three snowballs to reveal a hole. Inside, defeat Babas and cut bushes for items. Open a chest containing a Red Rupee.) Enter an opening.

Snowhead

In Snowhead, strike an Owl Statue. Use the Lens of Truth to see a giant Goron blowing a blizzard. As a Goron, play the Goron Lullaby to make the Goron sleep and fall from a cliff.

Continue moving and destroy rolling snow boulders. Roll across a slope and defeat White Wolfoses. (Move right and around the area to a Fairy’s Fountain. Inside, a Great Fairy asks you to retrieve Stray Fairies in Snowhead Temple.)

Past the slope, move left and across a winding, narrow path. Destroy rolling snow boulders and enter an opening to Snowhead Temple.

Snowhead Temple

Inside the temple, defeat White Boes. Cut icicles in front of a large block. As a Goron, push the block forward. Defeat a White Wolfos and enter a blue-framed door.

In another room, change into a Goron and roll across a bridge to an opposite ledge (If you fall to the bottom, move across lava as a Goron and climb a ladder.). Be careful of Freezards. (Collect a Stray Fairy in a bubble under a ledge and another in a bubble in a structure over lava.) Move to the ledge and enter an opening.

In another room, defeat a Live Bombchu and open a chest containing a Dungeon Map. (Collect a Stray Fairy and destroy crates for items.) Return to the previous room and enter a blue-framed door.

In a large, central room, enter a yellow-framed door. (A scarecrow appears on a ledge near a red door.)

Inside a room, pull a stack of blocks backward and enter an alcove. Open a chest containing a Small Key. (Push the blocks to a far left corner. A chest appears atop a ledge.) Exit to the central room and enter the blue-framed door. In the previous room, exit to the first room and enter a previously locked, pale blue-framed door.

In another room, defeat White Wolfoses. Open a chest containing a Compass. Bomb a cracked wall and enter an opening.

In another room, fire Arrows at icicles to destroy glaciers. Afterward, climb atop a small ledge and move across others, collecting Red Rupees. 

(Use the Lens of Truth to see an alcove and enter. Open a chest containing a Stray Fairy.) 

Move to a ledge and destroy a snow boulder containing a chest. Open it to receive a Small Key. Exit a locked door.

In another room, defeat White Boes. (Look to the ceiling and use the Lens of Truth to see a Stray Fairy in a bubble.) Move to a small, yellow switch and pound it as a Goron. A tall switch blocks a door and a tall, yellow switch appears. Move to the switch and opposite side. Pound a small, blue switch and another switch appears in the center of the room. Quickly pound the tall, yellow switch, and the switch blocking the door descends. Quickly use the center switch to reach the opposite side and enter the door.

On an upper area of the central room, change into a Goron and roll to an opposite side. Next, roll across a snowy slope to an area. Roll to an opposite side and enter a door.

You must fight a mini-boss named Wizrobe. Z-target and strike Wizrobe using Arrows. Avoid ice he throws that freezes you. Wizrobe then clones himself. Tatl targets the real Wizrobe as the others run. Z-target and strike Wizrobe until he is defeated. Afterward, open a chest containing Fire Arrows and exit.

In the previous room, change into a Goron and roll to the opposite side. Enter a door. 

Above a previous room, defeat Freezards. Use a Fire Arrow to melt ice from and activate an eye switch. A pillar rises, enabling access to the top and bottom. (Use the Lens of Truth to see small steps. Carefully move across the steps to an alcove and open a chest containing a Stray Fairy.) Move to the ground and exit an opening. 

In a previous room, use Fire Arrows to destroy Freezards and a glacier. A chest appears containing a Small Key. Enter the blue-framed door to the central room. Move right and enter an opening.

In a bottom area, move across lava pits as a Goron and defeat Red Bubbles. As a Goron, press a large switch, and a chest appears containing a Stray Fairy. Next, enter an opposite door.

In another room, use a Fire Arrow to melt a glacier covering a Deku Flower. Use the flower to reach another flower on a ledge, and use it to reach top ledges. (Use Fire Arrows to destroy Freezards, and a chest appears containing a Stray Fairy.) Use Fire Arrows to melt glaciers from opposite green-framed doors leading to the central room. Next, use Fire Arrows to light torches, and a barred door unlocks. Enter.

In a gated area, pound a yellow switch as a Goron, and a pillar rises. Enter the previous room, and exit the left green-framed door to the central room. In that area, use a Fire Arrow to melt a glacier from a red-framed door and enter the first room. In that room, enter the pale blue-framed door.

In a previous room, defeat White Wolfoses. (Use Fire Arrows to melt glacier from a block and switch. Press the switch, and a chest appears atop a ledge containing a Stray Fairy. To reach the chest, push the block near the ledge and climb the block to reach it. Next, move the block to a far right corner near the opposite opening. Stand atop the block and throw a Bomb on a crate containing a Stray Fairy. Next, use the block to reach an opposite ledge and enter a door. Above a previous room, use blocks to reach an opposite ledge. Open a chest containing a Stray Fairy.) Exit the opposite opening. 

In another previous room, exit the opposite door. In a previous room, use a Fire Arrow to melt a glacier and exit the opposite door.

In the central room, change into a Goron and punch away pillars. Next, exit and backtrack to the second temple room containing Freezards. As a Goron, roll across the bridge and exit the opening. In a previous room, stand atop a pillar and shoot an eye switch to reach the top. Exit.

In the central room, roll across a snowy slope as a Goron or climb a ladder. Melt glacier from an opening and enter to an upper part of the central room. As a Goron, punch away a pillar, roll across a slope and punch away another pillar. (Enter a locked door. In another room, defeat Eenos. Use the Lens of Truth to see an alcove containing a Stray Fairy inside a bubble. Next, melt a glacier covering an opening and enter. In another room, defeat two Dinofols containing two Stray Fairies. Exit a door to the central room and move to the pillar.)  Destroy snow boulders and enter an opening.

At the top of the central room, roll to a boss door. (Use the Lens of Truth to see an alcove below a left slope. Use a Deku Flower to reach the alcove, and open a chest containing a final Stray Fairy. To return to the top, move to the bottom area of lava pits and exit the opening to the central room. Enter the blue-framed door, and enter an opening to a previous room. In that room, stand atop a pillar and shoot an eye switch to reach the top. Enter a door to the central room. Roll across a slope and enter an opening to return above.)

Near the boss door, use a Deku Flower to reach a lower ledge. Enter a door.

You must defeat Wizrobe, again, using the same previous tactics. After he is defeated, enter a door and open a chest containing a Boss Key. Exit a door to the central room and move to the pillar. Enter the opening to the top of the room and approach the boss door.

Masked Mechanical Monster Goht

In a circular room, use a Fire Arrow to melt glacier from a monster named Goht. Goht runs around the room. Change into a Goron and roll after it. Roll into and attack Goht using the Goron spikes. (Replenish Magic Power from jars around the room.) When Goht falls, continue rolling into it or strike it using the sword, and repeat the attack. Dodge electricity and Bombs Goht throws. When Goht is defeated, collect a Heart Container and its remains.


A guardian Giant is rescued, and spring returns to Snowhead.


(Return to Snowhead and deposit the Stray Fairies in the Fairy’s Fountain. The Great Fairy of Wisdom enhances your Magic Power, giving you twice the amount.)


After completing Snowhead Temple, you must perform a test to obtain a Powder Keg.

In Goron Village, enter the Goron Powder Keg Shop and move down ramps. Speak to a Goron, who gives you a Powder Keg you must carry to the Goron Racetrack. Throw the Powder Keg up each ramp before rolling across. In Goron Village, move right across a slope and either of two paths to the entrance. In the previous area, move across bridges and approach the ramps to the racetrack. Throw the Powder Keg across each ramp and place it near a boulder blocking the entrance. (Among the ramps, place a Bomb near a tree to reveal a hole. Inside, defeat Babas and cut bushes for items. Open a chest containing a Bombchu.) Afterward, return to the Goron Powder Keg Shop and speak to the Goron, who approves you to carry Powder Kegs.

(Inside Mountain Village, enter an opening. Change into a Goron and roll across ramps. Defeat Black and White Boes. Continue moving and enter a hole. Inside, defeat Babas and cut bushes for items. Open a chest containing a Red Rupee and exit. Move across the ramps to reach the Goron Graveyard.)


(Note: After completing Snowhead Temple and obtaining the Powder Keg, you are able to obtain the Gilded Sword. Refer to “Item Upgrades” in this guide.)

(Note: After obtaining the Powder Keg, you are able to help people listed 8 through 11 in the Bomber’s Notebook.)




You must have a horse to enter Great Bay. On the first day, purchase a Powder Keg from the Bomb Shop. In Milk Road, place the Powder Keg next to the boulder blocking the entrance to Romani Ranch and enter. Approach a barn and house to see Epona inside a pen. Speak to a girl named Romani, who asks you to perform a practice test to defeat ghosts that appear in the ranch at night (Refer to “Romani” in the “Bomber’s Notebook”.). While atop Epona, ride around the ranch and burst balloons using Arrows. Afterward, Romani teaches you Epona’s Song -  Up, Left, Right, Up, Left Right.

You must also obtain the Stone Mask; refer to “Shiro” in the “Bomber’s Notebook” section in this guide.

Great Bay

Exit West Clock Town to west Termina Field and summon Epona. Use Epona to jump across a fence and enter Great Bay.

Great Bay Coast

Move forward and into a sandy area near an ocean. Defeat Leevers. 

Approach two huts. Enter a left hut to an Oceanside Spider House (You may complete the Spider House after obtaining the Hookshot.). Enter another hut and speak to a fisherman. Speak to a seahorse, who asks to be reunited with its friend. The fisherman offers the seahorse in exchange for a photo of a Gerudo pirate.

In Great Bay Coast, swim to a hut. Strike an Owl Statue and climb a ladder. Purchase a Great Bay map from Tingle for 20 Rupees; although not necessary, purchase a Stone Tower map for 40 Rupees. 

Enter a Marine Research Lab and speak to a man. (Inside the lab, climb atop a fish tank and deposit five fish to receive Heart Piece 24.)

In the ocean, swim toward a lifeless Zora. Move behind and push the Zora to shore. He introduces himself as a guitarist named Mikau and informs that Gerudo pirates stole Zora eggs. Play the Song of Healing, and a Zora Mask appears, enabling you to change into a Zora. Read a grave that informs of Zora abilities. While in water as a Zora, press B to dive. Press A to swim and use the control stick to navigate. While swimming, press R to emit electricity and defeat enemies (While pressing R to crouch and defend on land or in water, press B to use electricity.). Press B to punch and B repeatedly to release a series of punches. Hold and release B to fire boomerangs. As a Zora, you play an instrumental guitar and immediately dire from fire and ice.

(Note: After obtaining the Zora Mask, you may collect Heart Pieces 25 and 26.)

Past the research lab, swim right. Two vertical jutting structures lead to an area called Pinnacle Rock. Swim further and approach boards containing skulls that lead to an area called Pirates’ Fortress.  (After obtaining the Hookshot, move to an area of ledges and Hookshot across pillars. Inside a hole, play Epona‘s Song for two cows to receive Milk. [In the Trading Post or Astral Observatory, teach a scarecrow a song. Plant and water a Magic Bean in soil to create a Magic Plant, and ride the plant to a ledge. Play the Scarecrow‘s Song, and a scarecrow appears. Hookshot to the scarecrow to receive Heart Piece 32.)

Enter another area of Great Bay Coast. (Speak to two Zoras and optionally use the Zora boomerangs to simultaneously break pots. You receive 100 Rupees as a prize but are fined 10 Rupees if you fail.) 

(In the ocean, move across ledges and bomb a rock to reveal a hole. Inside, defeat Babas and open a chest containing Bombchu. Near the hole, you must use a Hookshot to move across palm trees and bomb rocks to reveal a Fairy’s Fountain.)

Move further along the coast. You must have a Hookshot to move across palm trees on ledges and reach an area called Waterfall Rapids. (Move further along and dive under a waterfall as a Zora. Defeat a Like Like to receive Heart Piece 27.)

In the water, swim to a large fin. Dive underneath and defeat a Like Like. Move forward and enter an opening.

Zora Hall

Inside Zora Hall, move into a central area and speak to Zoras.

Move right and enter an opening. Enter a door to a Zora Shop. (Inside, a Hero’s Shield costs 90 Rupees, 10 Arrows cost 20 Rupees and Red Potion costs 60 Rupees.) Move across a path to a top area (Optionally use Fire Arrows to light torches, and speak to a Zora on a stage to receive five Rupees.). Exit an opening to a Zora Cape and strike an Owl Statue. Speak to a Zora named Lulu (Optionally take a photo of her and give it to a Zora at the top of Zora Hall to receive 20 Rupees.)

Further along Zora Hall, enter doors as a Zora and speak to band members.

Inside a room, speak to a drummer named Tijo. (After obtaining the Hookshot, optionally use it to reach a top area and read Mikau’s Diary.) 

In another room, speak to a bassist named Japas. (As a Zora, produce the guitar, and Japas plays a tune - Right, Right, Down, A. Finish it by playing A, Down, Right, A. Japas then plays Left, Left, Right, Down, and you must play Down, Right, Left, Down.)

In another room, speak to a pianist named Evan. (As a species other than a Zora, play the song Japas taught to Evan, and he gives you Heart Piece 28.)

In another room, optionally read Lulu’s Diary. Speak to a Business Scrub, who offers Green Potion for 40 Rupees. (Change into a Goron and give the Business Scrub a Mountain Title Deed. Use his flower to reach a ledge and collect Heart Piece 29.)


Return to Great Bay Coast and swim toward the area leading to Pirates‘ Fortress. As a Zora, destroy boards containing skulls and enter an opening.

Pirates’ Fortress

In Pirates’ Fortress, move to shore and wear the Stone Mask to be invisible against female Gerudo pirates. Move to a river and swim to an opposite slope (You may ride a pirate’s boat to it.). Move across the slope and pound a switch as a Goron to open a gate. Dive underwater as a Zora (Optionally open chests at the bottom containing Red Rupees.) and enter the gate.

In an area, swim forward and destroy a panel. Pull a block outward and destroy more panels. Push another block inward and continue. Ride a current to a top area. Move past spiked balls and below a current. Surface to a door and enter. 

In another room, move past spiked balls (Open a chest in a corner containing a Red Rupee.) and across stairs. (Destroy barrels in a corner to reveal a switch. Press the switch and a dungeon gate opens. Quickly move to the dungeon and collect Heart Piece 30. Press a switch to exit.) Atop the stairs, hit a diamond switch to open a gate and quickly swim through. Swim past spiked balls and above a current. Move around a corner and climb a ladder to a top area.

Press a switch to lift a gate, revealing a diamond switch. Quickly move to a grating and fire an Arrow at the switch. A pillar of water rises to an upper area. Climb a ladder and look into a telescope to see a central area of Pirates’ Fortress. Next, fire Arrows at spiked balls to destroy them, revealing another diamond switch. Hit the switch and a barred door unlocks. Enter.

In the previous river area, wear the Stone Mask. Move around a ledge and across a ramp to an opening and enter.

In the central area, you must wear the Stone Mask to be invisible from the pirates. 

Climb a ladder, move across a bridge and enter a door. Inside, approach bars and listen to a conversation between pirates. Fire an Arrow through the bars at a beehive. Giant Bees appear and chase away the pirates.

In the central area, enter a door atop stairs. Inside, open a chest containing the Hookshot, an item used to reach far areas or collect items. Aim the Hookshot to a plank above an aquarium. As a Zora, dive under and defeat a Shell Blade. Collect a Zora Egg in a Bottle and exit.

(Note: After obtaining the Hookshot, you may collect a Bottle from beavers in Waterfall Rapids. You may also complete the Oceanside Spider House and collect Heart Pieces 31, 32 , 33, 34, 35, and 36.)

In the central area, move near the entrance and Hookshot to a target on a pillar. Hookshot to another pillar and enter an opening.

In an area, move forward and around a corner to a door. Inside, you must fight a pirate. Dodge her attacks and strike her as she wields her weapon. When she is defeated, a door opens. Enter and Hookshot to an aquarium. Defeat a Desbreko and collect a Zora Egg in a Bottle (Open a chest containing a Red Rupee.). Exit a door to the central area.

Near the entrance, Hookshot across pillars. While atop the second pillar, Hookshot to a third. Move across a bridge and enter a door. 

In another area, open a chest containing a Silver Rupee and enter a door. Inside, you must defeat another pirate. Afterward, enter a door. Hookshot to an aquarium and collect a Zora Egg. Exit a door to the central area.

In the central area, move to an opposite end and Hookshot to a pillar (Open a chest in a corner for a Red Rupee.). Hookshot to another pillar. An opposite opening leads to the river area. Enter an opening behind the pillar.

In another area, move past barrels to a door. Inside, defeat a pirate and enter a room. Hookshot to an aquarium and collect a Zora Egg.

Before exiting the fortress, take a photo of a pirate.


Return to the Marine Research Lab and deposit the Zora Eggs in the aquarium.

Visit the fisherman and give him the photo of a pirate to receive the seahorse.

Waterfall Rapids

Enter the second section of Great Bay Coast. Move toward a Gossip Stone and stand atop branches. Hookshot across palm trees on ledges to an opening and enter. (A scarecrow appears on a second ledge. On another ledge, open a chest containing a Red Rupee.)

Inside Waterfall Rapids, change into a Zora and approach and Z-target a beaver in water. Dive to the bottom and speak to the beaver. You must follow the beaver and swim through and collect 20 rings in under two minutes; you must swim through a flashing ring to collect the others. Afterward, you must race the beaver’s brother and follow him through 25 rings in under two minutes. You then receive an Empty Bottle.

(You must race both the brothers again in under one minute and 50 seconds to receive Heart Piece 36.)

Pinnacle Rock

In Pinnacle Rock, move underwater and release the seahorse. Follow the seahorse to a lair of sea snakes and enter. You must defeat eight sea snakes in alcoves using electricity. Carefully approach a sea snake to lure it and attack it twice. Three alcoves contain Zora Eggs and others contain pots and chests holding Rupees.

After defeating the eighth sea snake, the seahorse reunites with its friend, and you receive Heart Piece 37.


Return to the Marine Research Lab and deposit the eggs. As a Zora, face the aquarium and watch the eggs hatch. Zora infants form notes on a staff and a melody called the New Wave Bossa Nova - Left, Up, Left, Right, Down, Left, Right.


Return to Zora Cape and play the New Wave Boss Nova. A large turtle appears. Hookshot to a tree on his back and ride to Great Bay Temple.

Great Bay Temple

In Great Bay Temple, enter a door. (Before entering, light four torches, and a chest appears containing a Stray Fairy.)

In a room containing a waterwheel, defeat Skulltulas. (Defeat a Skulltula above a left ledge to receive a Stray Fairy. Collect Rupees on the ledge.)

As a Zora, move underwater. (Collect a Stray Fairy in a bubble under a ledge.) Move to a far right corner and move a switch counter-clockwise. A pillar of water rises from a grating. Ride a rising platform to a right ledge, and use the pillar to continue. Enter an opening to a central room.

In a central room, the previous waterwheel moves water counter-clockwise. (Move to a bottom ledge and climb a ladder. Destroy a barrel for a Stray Fairy.) Move underwater. (Use the Zora boomerangs to destroy a pot containing a Stray Fairy.) Enter an opening with green and red pipes.

In another room, move to the surface and to a ledge. Hookshot to a chest and open it to receive a Dungeon Map. (Fire a ranged weapon at an opposite barrel to receive a Stray Fairy.) Move underwater and swim through an opening, defeating two Dexihands.

In another area, defeat Bio Deku Babas in water and another above a ledge. (A chest appears containing a Stray Fairy.) Enter a door.

In another room, defeat Bio Deku Babas on lily pads. (Near the entrance, use a ranged weapon to break a pot in water near Dexi-hands containing a Stray Fairy.) Move across the lily pads to a ledge and defeat a Real Bombchu. Open a chest containing a Compass. Move underwater and defeat a Dexi-hand. Open a chest containing a Small Key. Near the entrance, move underwater and ride the current to the central room.

In the central room, enter an opening with a single red pipe.

In another room, move to the surface and to a ledge. Defeat Octoroks and move across a red pipe. Defeat a Real Bombchu and enter a locked door. In another area, defeat Chuchus for items and enter a door.

In a room, look to the ceiling and fight an eyeball mini-boss named Wart. You must defeat its gelatinous eyeballs. Lure and defeat them using an Arrow, Hookshot or sword. When Wart’s eye is visible, fire an Arrow at it three times. As it rolls around the arena, shoot its eye twice more to defeat it. A chest then appears containing an Ice Arrow, an item that freezes objects or enemies. Return to the previous room. Move underwater and enter an opening to the central room.

In the central room, enter the opening with green and red pipes. In a previous room, swim past Dexi-hands to a previous area and enter a door. In a previous room, defeat Bio Deku Babas and move across lily pads. Use Ice Arrows to form a path of ice to a ledge. Cut icicles for items. Use a Fire Arrow to melt a glacier covering a door and enter.

In a room, you must fight a Gekko. Attack it, and it moves inside a bubble to the ceiling. Quickly use an Ice Arrow to freeze the bubble, or the Gekko traps you in the bubble and attacks. When the bubble crashes down, strike the Gekko and repeat the attack until it is defeated. Enter a door to the previous room and open a chest containing a Boss Key. Near the entrance, ride the current of water to the central room.

In the central room, move to the surface and climb a ladder to a ledge. Use an Ice Arrow to freeze a stream of water. Afterward, use rotating blades to reach that area. Climb a ladder and enter a door.

In another room, defeat a Blue Tektite. Use Ice Arrows to form a path to a green ledge and move a switch counter-clockwise. (Optionally Hookshot to barrels on a yellow ledge. Use Ice Arrows to form a path near the ledge and move across. Hookshot to an above target. On a top area, open a chest containing a Stray Fairy. Optionally collect Red Rupees.) Exit.

In the central room, enter the opening with the single red pipe. In a previous room, move to a ledge and use an Ice Arrow to freeze an Octorok. Use the frozen Octorok to reach a ledge and move a switch counter-clockwise. Move underwater and enter an opening to the central room.

In the central room, enter the opening with green and red pipes. In a previous room, move to a ledge. Hookshot to a chest and use Ice Arrows to form a path to an opposite door. Enter.

In another room, use an Ice Arrow to freeze a Blue Chuchu and use it to reach a ledge. Defeat a Real Bombchu and move a switch counter-clockwise. Exit.

In the previous room, move underwater, swim past Dexi-hands to a previous area and enter a door. Near the entrance of a previous room, ride the water current to the central room. 

In the central room, use rotating blades to return to the room containing the waterwheel. In that room, Hookshot to a target above a red ledge. Use a pillar of water to reach the ledge and move a switch counter-clockwise. A pillar of water emerges, and the waterwheel stops rotating. Next, move to a yellow ledge and move a switch counter-clockwise. Another pillar of water subsides, and the wheel rotates.

In the central room, the direction of the water moves clockwise. Move underwater and enter an opening with green and red pipes. 

In another room, move to the surface and a rising platform. (Move to the shaft of a rotating wheel and to another platform. While on that platform, Hookshot to a torch in an alcove and open a chest containing a Stray Fairy.) When the platform ascends to the top, freeze a stream of water to stop a rotating wheel and move across. (Move atop a blade and Hookshot to a chest in an alcove containing a Stray Fairy.) Move across the wheel to an opposite door and enter.

In another room, defeat Chuchus. (Underneath a seesaw, move under an alcove as a Zora and destroy a barrel for a Stray Fairy.) Approach a seesaw under a green pipe, and use a Fire Arrow to melt ice. Water descends and the seesaw rises. Move to an adjacent seesaw and use a Fire Arrow to melt ice, causing the seesaw to rise. Move to a green ledge and move a switch counter-clockwise. (Change into a Zora and move across the pipe. In a fenced area, Hookshot to an opposite chest containing a Stray Fairy.) Move to the seesaw near the entrance and use a Fire Arrow to melt ice, raising the seesaw. Move to a ledge and exit a door.

In a previous room, move underwater and swim through an opening of pipes to the central room. Next, swim through an opening with a single green pipe.

In another room, move to the surface. (Under the water, move to an opening and burst a bubble containing a Stray Fairy). Move across a pipe to a ledge. (Underneath the ledge, burst a bubble containing a final Stray Fairy.) Move a switch counter-clockwise and a pillar of water rises. Use the pillar to reach and enter a boss door.

Gargantuan Masked Fish Gyorg

Inside a room, move into a hole to a boss room. A large fish named Gyorg appears. Atop a platform, change into a Zora and stun Gyorg using the boomerangs. Approach and electrocute Gyorg, and quickly swim away to the platform. Do not let Gyorg swallow you. Repeat the attack twice more, and Gyorg summons small fish you must defeat. Repeat the attack twice again and Gyorg is defeated. Collect a Heart Container and Gyorg’s remains.


A guardian Giant is rescued and the Great Bay water returns to normal.


(After completing Great Bay Temple, return the Stray Fairies to the Fairy‘s Fountain in Great Bay Coast. The Great Fairy of Courage increases your defense. When attacked during battle, you receive half the damage as before.)

(After completing Great Bay Temple, you may collect Heart Pieces 38 and 39.)




You must have the Garo Mask to enter Ikana Canyon. Obtain the mask from the Gorman Brothers at the Gorman Track in Milk Road. (Refer to the “Gorman Brothers” in the Bomber’s Notebook.) 

Stone Tower

(Before proceeding to east Termina Field, purchase Blue Potion, five Magic Beans and a Powder Keg.) 

Exit East Clock Town to east Termina Field and summon Epona. Ride Epona past columns to another area and move across fences. (Near a fence, change into a Goron and destroy a boulder to reveal a hole. Inside, defeat Deku Babas and open a chest containing a Bombchu.) (Past a fence, a scarecrow appears atop a ledge. Hookshot to the scarecrow, and break a pot for a Fairy.) Near a cliff, move left and enter Ikana Graveyard.

Ikana Graveyard

Inside Ikana Graveyard, defeat Bad Bats and cut sprouts near graves for items. Speak to an elderly man named Dampe. Enter another section and cut bushes for items. Approach a skeletal monster named Skull Keeta, and play the Sonata of Awakening. He rises, and you must follow him. Pillars of fire emerge, and you must defeat Stalchilds to continue. Fire an Arrow at Skull Keeta and strike him. Dodge his attacks and move from his shadow as he attempts to crush you. When he is defeated, he surrenders and offers you his Captain’s Hat. On a top area, climb a ledge and jump to an opposite ledge. Open a chest containing the Captain’s Hat, a mask that allows you to speak to Stalchilds.

Inside the graveyard on the first night, wear the Captain’s Hat and speak to Stalchilds near a grave. Command them to open the grave and enter. Inside, move forward and enter a room. Defeat Bad Bats, and a chest appears containing a Purple Rupee. Next, light torches and a barred door unlocks. Enter and defeat an Iron Knuckle. Strike it and avoid its axe attack. When it is defeated, speak to a ghost named Flat. Read his scripture that teaches the Song of Storms - A, Down, Up, A, Down, Up.

You may optionally enter graves on the second and third nights.

On the second night, wear the Captain’s Hat and command Stalchilds to open another grave. Inside, move to a ledge and collect Rupees. Use the Lens of Truth to see and enter a door. In another room, use the Lens of Truth to see and defeat Skulltulas and Keese. Next, move across a narrow ledge and use the Lens of Truth to see the remainder of the path. Move forward and bomb a cracked wall to reveal a door and enter. In another room, defeat an Iron Knuckle. A chest then appears containing Heart Piece 40.

On the third night, wear the Captain’s Hat and command Stalchilds to open another grave. Inside, move forward and down stairs. Move from a shadow of a Wallmaster and defeat it. Afterward, speak to Dampe. Use Tatl to Z-target and lead Dampe to dig four patches of dirt. Next, lead Dampe to a platform that ascends to a top area. Climb a ladder to reach it and lead Dampe to dig another dirt patch. Lead Dampe to another platform and move across steps to a top area containing a patch. Three patches of dirt contain flames that form into a Big Poe. Block the Big Poe’s attack and strike it with an Arrow. It appears behind you, and you must repeat until it is defeated (Optionally collect its remains in a Bottle.). Afterward, a chest appears containing a Bottle.


Near the cliff, wear the Garo Mask and speak to a man. Hookshot to a stump to reach the cliff. Move forward and avoid rolling boulders. Defeat Nejiron using Bombs; avoid touching them, for they explode. Enter Ikana Canyon.

Ikana Canyon

(Note: After reaching Ikana Canyon, you may help people listed 15 through 20 in the Bomber’s Notebook and collect Heart Pieces 41, 42, 43, and 44.)

In Ikana Canyon, wear the Garo Mask to summon and fight Garos. Dodge a Garo’s attack and strike it. It then reveals information.

(Above a river, enter another section and speak to a Business Scrub, who sells Blue Potion for 100 Rupees. Change into a Zora and give him an Ocean Title Deed. Use his flower to reach Heart Piece 45 on an opposite ledge.)

A river winds to another section and an opposite opening that leads to the Southern Swamp.

Approach the river and use Ice Arrows to freeze Octoroks into ice. Move across the ice to a ledge and Hookshot across stumps on ledges to a top area. Strike an Owl Statue. 

Across the statue lies an entrance to the Ancient Castle of Ikana. Move across a hill to a house surrounded by Gibdos. Do not approach the Gibdos, for they will paralyze and attack you. Move across another hill and purchase a Stone Tower map from Tingle. Move to a hill that leads to a well. Move further and approach a Ghost Hut (Inside, you may defeat ghosts to receive Heart Piece 46.). Move past the hut to a Spring Water Cave. Past the cave lies an entrance to Stone Tower. Further, move down a hill and enter a Fairy’s Fountain; inside, a Great Fairy asks you to retrieve Stray Fairies from Stone Tower Temple.

Enter the Spring Water Cave, and speak to a ghost named Sharp. Play the Song of Storms, and a stream of water flows to the canyon, causing the house to play music and defeat the Gibdos.

In the canyon, approach the house, and a young girl runs inside. She returns two hours later to visit the well. (You may place a Bomb near the door to coax her, and wear the Stone Mask to be invisible.) Enter the house and move downstairs to a basement. Approach a cupboard to see a mummified man. Play the Song of Healing for him, and you receive the Gibdo Mask, a mask that allows you to speak to Gibdos.

In the canyon, approach and climb down the well, and enter an opening.

Beneath the Well

Inside the well, approach an opposite door and give a Gibdo Blue Potion to enter. In another area, enter a left alcove and collect fish and Spring Water in Bottles. Next, move past moving spiked rods (Use a Deku Flower to fly over them.). Approach a left door, and give a Gibdo a fish to enter. In a room, an alcove contains fish in water, two diamond-shaped eyes release fire, and a Dexi-hand lies in Hot Spring Water.

In the previous area, approach an opposite door, and give a Gibdo Spring Water to enter. In another area, burn webs from opposite alcoves. Enter a left alcove and collect bugs. Enter a right alcove and break pots for Bombs. Defeat Black Boes. (Move past spiked rods and defeat a Wallmaster. Approach an opposite door and give a Gibdo a bug to enter; in a room, you may collect Fairies. Approach a right door and give a Gibdo a bug to enter. In another room, defeat Fire Keese. Use the Lens to see a chest containing a Purple Rupee.)

Return to the beginning of the well. In the first area, approach a right door and give a Gibdo five Magic Beans to enter.

In another area, defeat an Ice Keese. Enter an alcove and defeat a Freezard and Deku Babas. Move along and defeat a Wallmaster. Approach a left door and give a Gibdo a fish to enter.

In another area, enter an alcove and defeat Mini Babas for Deku Nuts. Move along and defeat Black Boes in pots. (Approach a left door and give a Gibdo a bug to enter. In a room, use the Lens of Truth to see and defeat Skulltulas. Light torches, and a chest appears containing a Purple Rupee.) A Gibdo at an opposite door asks for a Big Poe.

Return to the previous area and approach an opposite door. Give a Gibdo ten Deku Nuts to enter.

In another area, defeat Fire Keese. Use a Fire Arrow to destroy a diamond-shaped eye as it opens, and enter an alcove to collect bugs. Approach a door in a left corner and give a Gibdo ten Bombs to enter. In a room, avoid spikes and defeat a Big Poe. Strike the Poe with an Arrow, and turn to the opposite direction and attack it. When it is defeated, collect its remains in a Bottle and exit. 

In the previous area, a Gibdo at an opposite door asks for Hot Spring Water. Return to the beginning of the well and enter the opposite door. Defeat diamond-shaped eyes and a Dexi-hand. Collect Hot Spring Water and quickly return it to the Gibdo that asks for it to enter a door. In a room, play Epona’s Song for a cow to receive Milk. 

Return to the Gibdo that asks for a Big Poe and enter a door.

In another area, defeat a Wallmaster. A right alcove contains a Skulltula and bugs. Move past spiked rods and defeat another Wallmaster. Approach a door and give a Gibdo Milk to enter.

In a final room, light four torches, and a chest appears containing a Mirror Shield. Use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto a sun emblem, causing a ladder to appear. Next, use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto a blue block, causing it to disappear and reveal an opening. Climb the ladder and enter.

Ancient Castle of Ikana

Climb a ladder to reach the Ancient Castle of Ikana. Inside a courtyard, wear the Garo Mask to summon Garos that provide information. 

(In Ikana Canyon across the Owl Statue, enter an opening to the Ancient Castle of Ikana. Hit a diamond switch to produce light, and use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto a blue block, causing it to disappear and allow you access to the castle.)

In the courtyard, enter an opening to a central area. In that area, defeat ReDeads. Do not approach them, for they will paralyze and attack you. (Wear the Garo Mask, Captain’s Hat or Gibdo Mask to make the ReDeads dance, so they will not attack.)

Behind a front left column, use a Fire Arrow to melt ice covering a diamond-shaped eye switch. The switch activates and opens a door. Enter.

In a room, hit a diamond switch, and a floor rises. Quickly move across and enter a Deku Flower. (When the floor descends, emerge from the flower to raise it.) Use Deku Flowers to reach a ledge and press a switch. A barred door unlocks. Fire an Arrow at another diamond switch to cause the floor to rise and exit.

In another room, fire an Arrow at spiked balls to collide and destroy them. Next, defeat Skulltulas. Use a Deku Flower to reach a left ledge and press a switch. Wear the Bunny Hood to jump to the entrance. Use the flower to reach a right ledge. Use another flower to reach an opposite door and exit.

In another area, defeat Blue Bubbles and continue across stairs. Enter a door.

Atop the castle, wear the Garo Mask to summon a Garo. 

(Move left atop a surrounding ledge and shoot a diamond switch to dwindle fire from Deku Flowers. Next, use the flowers to reach Heart Piece 47.)

Move across a surrounding ledge. Near a fenced area, use Deku Flowers to reach a ledge and press a switch to reveal a hole atop the castle. Return to the central area and use a Fire Arrow to melt ice from another diamond-shaped eye switch. The switch activates and opens another door. Enter.

In another room, defeat a Floormaster. Next, use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto a blue block, causing it to disappear. Defeat ReDeads and continue.

In another room, you must fight Wizrobe. Z-target and attack him using Arrows. When he clones himself, use Tatl to target the real monster. When he is defeated, enter a door. Defeat ReDeads and continue across stairs to another door.

Atop the castle, move past a hole and approach a cracked roof. Use a Powder Keg to destroy the roof, producing light. Return to the central area, and use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto a blue block. Enter an opening to another area, and enter a door.

In a final area, you must fight a king and his subordinates. As you fight the subordinates, dodge their attacks, and attack them as they wield their weapons. Attack them until they fall. Next, use Fire Arrows to burn curtains, revealing light. Use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto the fallen subordinates to defeat them.

You must then fight the king. Dodge his attacks and strike him as he wields his weapon. Avoid his purple breath and defend as he detaches his head. Attack him until he falls, and reflect light on him to defeat him.

The king teaches you a song called the Elegy of Emptiness, a song used to create shells of Link in all his forms - Right, Left, Right, Down, Right, Up, Left.


Return to Ikana Canyon and enter Stone Tower.

Stone Tower

Inside Stone Tower, you must press switches as Link, a Goron and a Zora and play the Elegy of Emptiness to create shells, so the switches remain depressed. 

Move across stone blocks to an opposite cliff. Hookshot to an above pillar to a cliff and defeat a Beamos. Press a switch and play the Elegy of Emptiness. Doing so moves a stone block. From atop the pillar, Hookshot to another pillar on a cliff. Press a switch and play the Elegy of Emptiness. Move to the bottom cliff, press a switch, and play the Elegy of Emptiness. Hookshot across the pillars and move across stone blocks to an opposite cliff containing switches.

Near the switches, Hookshot to a pillar on a cliff. From atop the pillar, Hookshot to another on a cliff and defeat a Beamos. Press a switch and play the Elegy of Emptiness. Move to the previous cliff, press a switch and play the Elegy of Emptiness. Next, Hookshot across the pillars to another cliff, press a switch and play the Elegy of Emptiness. Move across more stone blocks to an opposite cliff.

Near three switches and a pillar, Hookshot to an above pillar on a cliff. (A scarecrow appears on a far cliff. Hookshot to the scarecrow and defeat ReDeads. Break pots for items.) Move toward the edge of the cliff and Hookshot to another pillar. (A scarecrow appears on another cliff. Hookshot to the scarecrow and break pots for items.) From that pillar, Hookshot to another pillar on a cliff and strike an Owl Statue.

You must press three switches in an order of right, left and center and play the Elegy of Emptiness to create a path of stone blocks. Move across the blocks and enter Stone Tower Temple.

Stone Tower Temple

Inside the temple, defeat Drangonflies and a Real Bombchu. (Shoot an eye switch on a face, and a chest appears.) Enter a left door near a fence.

Inside a room, defeat Real Bombchu. Bomb a cracked wall to reveal an alcove containing crates. Destroy large crates to reveal small crates. You must play the Elegy of Emptiness while standing atop switches as Link and a Zora. You must also use the small crates to press the switches. You must play the Elegy of Emptiness as a Goron while standing atop a large switch. When all switches are pressed, a gate opens. Move along and defeat a Dragonfly. Place a Bomb on a dark square on the ground to reveal an opening and enter.

In a bottom room, use the Mirror Shield to reflect light on and dissolve a blue block. Next, move across lava as a Goron and open a chest containing a Dungeon Map. Defeat Armoses in the alcove and lava, and a chest appears containing a Small Key.

(Near the entrance, Hookshot to a right ledge and open a chest containing a Stray Fairy.)

Exit an opening to the previous area, and enter a locked door.

In an area, change into a Zora and swim across water to an opposite side. Allow a Dexi-hand to throw you to a ledge. Open a chest containing a Small Key. (Move to a fenced area and perform a Spin Attack to hit a diamond switch. A chest appears in an opposite area.)

Move underwater and swim through an opening to another area. (Move to the bottom and defeat Bio Deku Babas. Use the Zora Boomerangs to move spiked balls and press a switch. A chest appears.) Swim to the surface.

On a top area, use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto a mirror, and charge the mirror for 30 seconds to a minute. Next, use the light from the mirror to reflect light onto a blue block, revealing an alcove. Defeat a Real Bombchu and open a chest containing a Compass. Next, return and enter a locked door. (Before entering, use a Fire Arrow to melt ice from an eye switch above an opposite wall.)

In a room, punch away pillars as a Goron to reveal light and defeat Black Boes. You must wear the Stone Mask, so the Boes cannot bother you. (On a right wall, use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto a sun emblem, and a chest appears containing a Stray Fairy. Next, use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto a right mirror. Use the light from the mirror to reflect light onto a blue block, revealing an alcove. Move inside and open a chest for a Stray Fairy.) Use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto a left mirror. Use the light from the mirror to reflect light onto another mirror. Use the light from that mirror to dissolve a blue block. Move forward and defeat Nejiron. Exit a door.

In another room, use a Deku Flower and air currents to navigate. (Move to a ledge and collect Rupees. Open a chest for a Stray Fairy. Next, change into a Goron, and move to a bottom area. Pound a switch to dwindle fire from a switch on an opposite side. Quickly roll to that switch and press it to dwindle fire from a chest containing a Stray Fairy.)

While moving across the currents, avoid a Real Bombchu. Approach a ledge and enter a door.

In another room, you must fight a Garo Master. The Garo Master moves quickly, so constantly defend to avoid his attacks. As he charges at you, jump or roll sideways to confuse him and then attack. As he moves above you, move from his shadow to confuse and attack him. (Use the Hookshot or a Deku Nut to stun him.) When he is defeated, a chest appears containing Light Arrows. Next, enter a door.

In another room, move to a ledge. Use a Bomb or the Hookshot to destroy a mask on a Hiploop and defeat it. If you fall to a bottom area, Hookshot to a target to return above. Enter an opposite door.

Above a previous area, defeat an Eyegore. Approach it and move back as it attacks and pounds the ground. When it does so, its eye becomes yellow, and you must strike it with an Arrow. (A chest then appears containing a Stray Fairy.) Enter a door.

In the first area of the temple, defeat a Real Bombchu and Dragonflies. (Open a chest containing a Stray Fairy. Next, fire a Light Arrow at a sun emblem, and a chest appears.) Climb a ladder and exit the temple.

Near the temple in Stone Tower, you must press three switches in an order of left, right and center and play the Elegy of Emptiness as Link, a Goron and Zora to create a path of blocks and move across. Underneath the temple, fire a Light Arrow at a red emblem. The temple then moves upside-down. Move across stone blocks and enter.

Inside the temple, move across a thin ledge. (Open a chest containing a Stray Fairy.) Move right across the ledge and enter a door.

In a room, fire a Light Arrow at a block and continue. Use a Deku Flower and air currents to navigate. (On a ledge, press a switch and play the Elegy of Emptiness to dwindle fire from a chest on another ledge containing a Stray Fairy; fire Arrows at spiked balls to destroy them. Next, fire a Light Arrow at a sun emblem below that ledge to reveal another chest. Next, move to a bottom ledge and Hookshot to a chest in an alcove containing a Stray Fairy.)

Move to a ledge and defeat a Hiploop. Enter an opening and press a switch to reveal a chest containing a Small Key. Next, move to a top ledge, avoiding spiked balls, and enter a locked door.

In another room, fire a Light Arrow at a red emblem to turn the room upright. Move across lava as a Goron. Fire a Light Arrow at the emblem to invert the room and enter a door.

In another room, defeat Chuchus. You must fire Light Arrows at red emblems to invert the room. Approach a block and push it forward. Invert the room and push the block to the center of the room. Invert the room again and push the block across the center to an opposite side. Invert the room and push the block left. Invert the room again and push the block into a slot to unlock a barred door. Climb the block to the door and enter.

In another room, you must fight Wizrobe. Avoid falling lava and strike Wizrobe with Arrows. When he clones himself, use Tatl to Z-target and attack the real monster. When he is defeated, a chest appears (Open it for a Stray Fairy.). Hookshot to the chest and exit an opening.

In an area, defeat Poes. Use a Deku Flower to reach an opposite side. Use another flower to reach an alcove and defeat Death Armoses. To defeat a Death Armos, fire a Light Arrow on its red mark to invert them, and incite them to attack you; as they pound the ground, they defeat. Inside the alcove, press a switch and play the Elegy of Emptiness to dwindle fire from a chest containing a Small Key. In the previous area, enter a door.

In another area, fire Arrows at spiked balls to collide and destroy them. Next, use a Deku Flower to reach an alcove and another flower to reach an opposite door and enter.

In another area, defeat Blue Bubbles and enter a door.

In a room, you must fight a mini-boss named Gomess. Fire Light Arrows at Gomess to dispel its cloak of bats and attack it. Repeat the attack until Gomess is defeated. Afterward, enter a door and open a chest containing a Boss Key.

Past the area with Blue Bubbles, return to the previous area and use Deku Flowers to reach the entrance. Near the entrance, enter a door in a corner.

In an area, move to a ledge and defeat a Death Armos. Press a switch, and a chest appears. Hookshot to the chest to reach a top area and enter a locked door.

In another area, defeat an Eyegore. Avoid its laser and strike its yellow eye as it pounds the ground. Open a chest to receive the Giant’s Mask and enter an opposite door.

In a room, hit a diamond switch to reveal a chest. Hookshot to the chest to reach a top area, and Hookshot to a target. Move to a bottom area and enter a boss door.

(Before entering the boss room, collect the remaining Stray Fairies. Exit the temple and invert it.

In the first area, move to a bottom area and open a chest for a Stray Fairy. Climb a ladder to the top and enter the door near the fence. 

In a previous room, you must play the Elegy of Emptiness while standing atop switches as Link and a Zora, and use a crate to press a switch. Play the Elegy of Emptiness while standing atop a large switch as a Goron. When a gate opens, move along and enter a door.

In a previous area, fire a Light Arrow at a blue block. Enter an alcove and defeat a Beamos. Open a chest for a Stray Fairy. Dive underwater as a Zora and swim through an opening to a previous area. In that area, open a chest on a ledge for a Stray Fairy. Swim to the top and enter the opposite door. In the room with the mirrors, enter the opposite door. In a previous room, use a Deku Flower and air currents to move to and enter the opposite door. In the room where you fought the Garo Master, enter the opposite door. In a previous room, move to a bottom area and open a chest for a final Stray Fairy. Hookshot to the top, defeat a Hiploop and enter an opposite door.

In an area where you fought an Eyegore, enter the opposite door to the beginning of the temple. Exit the temple and invert it. Return to the room with the boss door and enter.) 

Giant Masked Insect Twinmold

Enter a hole to the boss area. 

You must wear the Giant’s Mask to fight Twinmold (If necessary, have a Bottle of Magic Potion to replenish your Magic Power.). Twinmold appears as two snakes. You must repeatedly attack the heads and tails of the monsters. When they are defeated, collect a Heart Container and Twinmold’s remains.


A final guardian Giant is rescued.

(In Ikana Canyon, visit the Fairy’s Fountain. The Great Fairy of Kindness gives you a Great Fairy’s Sword, a sword powerful than any other.)

(After completing Stone Tower Temple, you may collect Heart Pieces 47 and 48.)




Clock Tower

At midnight on the final day, enter the Clock Tower. Inside, play the Oath to Order. The four guardian Giants appear and stop the moon as it crashes into Termina.

Inside the Clock Tower, Majora’s Mask comes to life and enters the moon. Link enters after.

Inside the Moon

Inside the moon, approach a tree. You may optionally speak to children, who wear masks of the temple bosses and complete four dungeons. You must have and give 20 masks. To battle the final boss, speak to a child who wears Majora’s Mask. 


Speak to a child who wears an Odolwa mask, and give him a mask to enter a dungeon.

Deku Dungeon

Inside a Deku Dungeon, use a Deku Flower to reach a rotating blade containing flowers. (Optionally read Gossip Stones on ledges.) Use a flower to reach more blades. Be careful not to be pushed into an abyss by a blade. (Collect Heart Piece 49 on an opposite ledge.) Use a yellow Deku Flower to reach an opposite door and enter. Give the child a mask to exit the dungeon.


Speak to a child who wears a Goht mask, and give him two masks to enter a dungeon.

Goron Dungeon

Inside a Goron Dungeon, change into a Goron and roll across a path at full speed. When you reach open chests, release the Control Stick, but continue to press the A button and roll across ledges. Stop rolling as you reach green jars and a bridge.

(Move across bridges past Gossip Stones and move left around a ledge. As a Goron, roll across the ledge to another. Move across a bridge to an opposite end. As a Goron, roll across a path and ledges to an opposite area. Near open chests, roll across a path to another area and collect Heart Piece 50. Roll across a path to return to the previous area.)

Move across a bridge. (Optionally read Gossip Stones.) Face left to an exit and roll across a bridge to reach it. Enter a door, and give the child two masks to exit the dungeon.


Speak to a child who wears a Gyorg mask, and give him three masks to enter a dungeon.

Zora Dungeon

Inside a Zora Dungeon, change into a Zora and swim through an opening. You must swim through pairs of tunnels.

(You may optionally read Gossip Stones. Swim through three right tunnels to reach a Gossip Stone. Swim through three left tunnels to a Gossip Stone. Swim through more tunnels to Gossip Stones in orders of right, right, left; left, right, right and right, left, right.)

(You may collect Heart Piece 51 using either of three paths: right, left, left, left; left, right, left, left and left, right, left, right.)

You must reach the end of the dungeon using either of two paths: left, right, left, right or left, left, right, right. Give the child three more masks to exit.


Speak to a child who wears a Twinmold mask and give him four masks to enter a dungeon.

Link Dungeon

Inside a dungeon, enter a door.

In a room, defeat a Dinofols. Attack it and avoid its fiery breath until defeated. Exit a door and optionally read a Gossip Stone. Enter another door.

In another room, defeat a Garo Master. As he charges at you or moves above you, roll or jump away to confuse and attack him until defeated. A chest containing Arrows appears atop a ledge. Hookshot to the chest and enter a door. Optionally read a Gossip Stone and enter another door. 

In another room, defeat an Iron Knuckle. Attack it and avoid its axe until defeated. A barred door unlocks, and a chest appears containing Bombchu. Use a Bombchu to destroy a cracked wall (Place the Bombchu on the opposite wall to reach the crack if necessary.). Next, shoot an eye switch, and a ladder appears. Climb and exit a door. Optionally read a Gossip Stone and enter a door.

In another room, use a Bombchu to destroy a cracked ceiling and use a Fire Arrow to melt an iced switch and unlock a barred door. Optionally read a Gossip Stone and collect Heart Piece 52. Enter a door.

Give the child four more masks to exit the dungeon.


Speak to a child who wears Majora’s Mask to enter the final battle with Majora. 

(If you have completed the four dungeons, you receive the Fierce Deity’s Mask. Wear the mask to change into a deity that contains ultimate powers. You must attack using a double-helix sword and Magic Power to fire orbs from the sword. You may fight Majora and temple bosses as the Fierce Deity.)

Final Battle

You must battle three forms of Majora and the remains of the four temple bosses.

Majora’s Mask

You must attack the backside of Majora’s Mask using an Arrow to stun and then approach and attack it (Use the Zora boomerangs to strike its back, as well.). As the mask shoots fire, use the Mirror Shield to reflect its fire on it. Repeat these attacks until the mask is defeated.

Majora’s Incarnation

Majora’s Mask changes into a monster with a head, arms and legs. The monster moves quickly around the boss area. When it slows, use a Light Arrow to stun and then attack it. Avoid orbs the monster rapidly throws. Repeat the attack until it is defeated.

Majora’s Wrath

Majora’s Incarnation mutates into another monster called Majora’s Wrath. Majora’s Wrath attacks using whips that will grab and throw you if you are not careful. You must strike the monster with a Light Arrow to stun and attack it. Avoid rolling spikes that appear. Attack the monster until it is defeated.

You then accomplish the game.

Item Upgrades

Gilded Sword

     To obtain the Gilded Sword, you must use all three days. Return to the first day and defeat Masked Mechanical Monster Goht for spring to arrive in Snowhead. Afterward, enter the Goron races as a Goron. Speak to the infant Goron to begin the race.

You must be in first place to win the race. During a countdown, curl and begin rolling as the number 1 fades. While racing, replenish Magic Power using jars and use ramps at full speed. Avoid contact with other Gorons, for they may interrupt your speed. Avoid flower bombs, and avoid falling from a bridge. (You may push other Gorons off the bridge.) After winning the race, you receive a Bottle of Gold Dust.

Visit the blacksmith in Mountain Village and pay 100 Rupees. On the second day, your Kokiri Sword is forged into the Razor Sword, a sword that returns to its original form once used 100 times. Next, give the Gold Dust to the blacksmith. On the final day, the Razor Sword becomes the Gilded Sword, a strong sword that never dulls.

Adult Wallet - a wallet that holds 200 Rupees

     Deposit 200 or more rupees in the Clock Town Bank to receive the Adult Wallet.

Giant’s Wallet - a wallet that holds 500 Rupees

     Complete the Oceanside Spider House on the first day to receive the Giant’s Wallet.

Bottle 1

     Enter the Woods of Mystery and follow a monkey to a witch named Koume, who asks for Red Potion. Enter the Magic Hags’ Potion Shop and speak to Kotake, who gives you a Bottle of Red Potion. Give the Red Potion to Koume and keep the Bottle. 

Bottle 2

     After winning the Goron race, you receive a Bottle of Gold Dust.

Bottle 3

     After defeating ghosts at Romani Ranch, you receive a Bottle of Milk.

Bottle 4

     In Great Bay Coast, enter Waterfall Rapids and race the Beaver Brothers to receive a Bottle.

Bottle 5

     In Ikana Graveyard on the third night, command Stalchilds to open a grave. Inside, speak to a gravedigger named Dampe and guide him to dig six patches of dirt. Three of the patches contain flames that form into a Big Poe. Defeat the Big Poe and open a chest containing a Bottle.

Bottle 6

      After helping Anju, Kafei and the Curiosity Shop owner in the Bomber’s Notebook, enter the Milk Bar Latte on the final night, and give Madame Aroma priority mail. She gives you a Bottle of Chateau Romani.

Big Bomb Bag - an item that holds 30 Bombs

     At midnight on the first day in North Clock Town, a thief robs an elderly woman. Attack the thief using the sword. Afterward, enter the Bomb Shop and purchase the Big Bomb Bag .

Biggest Bomb Bag - an item that holds 40 Bombs

     In Goron Village, speak to a Business Scrub as a Goron. Give the Scrub your Big Bomb Bag and 200 Rupees to receive the Biggest Bomb Bag.

Large Quiver - an item that holds 40 Arrows

    In the Town Shooting Gallery, you must achieve a score of 40 or above to receive the Large Quiver..

Largest Quiver - an item that holds 50 Arrows

     In the Swamp Shooting Gallery, you must achieve a score of 2120 to receive the Largest Quiver.




Enemies

Armos - a statue-like enemy you must defeat using a Bomb or a Goron punch

Baba - a plant-like enemy of variation; a Deku Baba attacks by lunging and produces Deku Nuts when defeated, a Mini Baba produces Deku Nuts when defeated, a withered Deku Baba produces Deku Sticks when defeated, and a Bio Deku Baba hangs from a lily pad and attacks.

Bad Bat - a bat that attacks by swooping

Big Octo - a swamp monster that devours and spits you

Blue Tektite - a bouncing, spider-like creature

Boe - a small, round, slithering enemy that appears in black or white

Bubble - an enemy in the form of a skeletal head that appears in blue or red; a Blue Bubble contains a flame that curses you and temporarily disables use of the sword, and a Red Bubble contains fire. Use the shield to disperse its flame and then attack it.

Chuchu - a blob-like enemy of variation that carries items; Green Chuchus carry Magic Potion, Red Chuchus carry Hearts or Rupees, Yellow Chuchus carry Arrows and Blue Chuchus carry nothing.

Death Armos - a floating statue-like enemy; fire a Light Arrow at a red mark on its chest to invert it, and then incite it to attack you, and it defeats as it pounds the ground.

Desbreko - a skeletal fish in water surrounded by smaller fish; defeating the Desbreko defeats the other fish

Dodongo - a dinosaur enemy that varies from big to small; you must attack its tail and quickly move away as it breathes fire

Dragonfly - a flying enemy that attacks with an electrical tail

Eeno- a snowy enemy that varies from big to small; it attacks using snowballs, and a large Eeno disperses into three small Eenos when struck. It dies immediately when attacked with fire.

Eyegore - a robot-like enemy that attacks with a laser and pounds the ground; as it pounds the ground, shoot its yellow eye.

Floormaster - a hand-like creature that grabs and returns you to the beginning of an area; it disperses into three, small Floormasters you must defeat before they grow.

Freezard - a glaciered enemy that attacks using icy breath that freezes you; it immediately dies when attacked with fire.

Garo - a ninja spirit that provides information when defeated

Giant Bee - a large bee that attacks by stinging

Gibdo - a mummified creature that paralyzes and attacks you

Gold Skulltula - a golden spider; defeat it to collect its token and lift a curse in a Spider House

Guay - a bird-like enemy that attacks by swooping

Hiploop - a bug-like creature that charges at and attacks you

Keese - a flying enemy of variation that attacks by swooping; Fire Keese burn and Ice Keese temporarily freeze you.

Leever - a sand enemy that attacks by spinning into you

Mad Scrub - a tree-like enemy that attacks with Deku Nuts

Octorok - a monster that spits rocks; use the shield to reflect its rocks at it to defeat it.

Real Bombchu - a rodent-like creature that carries a Bomb on its tail; defeat it using a ranged weapon or use your shield to deflect and defeat it.

Shell Blade - a clam-like creature in water that attacks with spikes; you must attack its ligament to defeat it.

Skullfish - a skeletal fish in water

Skulltula - a skeletal spider; you must attack its soft back to defeat it.

Snapper - a turtle-like creature that spins and attacks using spikes; use a Bomb to expose and strike its soft belly to defeat it.

Masks

All-Night Mask - a mask used to stay awake while listening to Anju’s grandmother’s stories

     At midnight on the first night in North Clock Town, a thief robs an elderly woman. Strike the thief using the sword. On the third night, enter the Curiosity Shop and purchase the All-Night Mask for 500 Rupees.

Blast Mask - a mask used as an explosive

     At midnight on the first day in North Clock Town, a thief robs an elderly woman. Attack the thief using the sword. The woman gives you the Blast Mask, which you can use as an explosive but lose life energy doing so (Note: Hold the shield while using the mask to prevent losing life energy.).

Bremen Mask - a mask used to lead small animals in a march

     As Link, enter the Laundry Pool on the first or second nights and speak to a man. He confesses to stealing the Bremen Mask and gives it to you.

Bunny Hood - a mask that makes Link move faster

     Enter Romani Ranch. (You can enter the ranch on the third day if you cannot carry a Powder Keg.) Move to the opposite end of the ranch and enter a Cucco Shack. Speak to a Grog. Wear the Bremen Mask and march around the shack, collecting ten small chicks, that become roosters. Speak to the Grog to receive the Bunny Hood.

Captain’s Hat - a mask that enables you to speak with Stalchilds

     Enter Ikana Graveyard and defeat Skull Keeta to receive the mask.

Circus Leader’s Mask - a mask that prevents the Gorman Brothers from attacking Cremia’s Milk bottles

     On the first or second nights, enter the Milk Bar Latte and help Toto perform a melody (Refer to “Toto” and “Gorman” in the Bomber‘s Notebook.). You must play songs as Link, a Deku Scrub, Goron and Zora. Afterward, speak to Gorman to receive the Circus Leader’s Mask.

Couple’s Mask - a mask that ends a meeting in Mayor Dotour’s office

     You must help and unite Anju and Kafei to receive the Couple’s Mask (Refer to “Anju” and “Kafei” in the Bomber’s Notebook.). 

Deku Mask - a mask that changes Link into a Deku Scrub

     After obtaining the Ocarina from the Skull Kid in the Clock Tower, play the Song of Time to return to the first day. Speak to the Happy Mask salesman and play the Song of Healing he teaches. You then obtain the Deku Mask.

Don Gero’s Mask - a mask used to conduct a choir of frogs

     In Goron Village, play the Lullaby Intro to calm the Goron Elder’s son. Afterward, light a Deku Stick from a torch. Use the Deku Stick to light all the torches in Goron Shrine, and a chandelier spins. In the Goron Elder’s room, face the entrance, and as a Goron, roll forward and break glass from the chandelier until rock sirloin appears. Carry and give the sirloin to a Goron in Mountain Village, and he gives you Don Gero’s Mask.

Fierce Deity’s Mask - a mask that transforms Link into a supernatural being containing ultimate powers

     Inside the moon, you must complete four dungeons and give 20 masks to masked children. Speak to a child wearing Majora’s Mask to receive the Fierce Deity’s Mask.

Garo Mask - a mask used to summon Garo spirits in Ikana Canyon and the Ancient Castle of Ikana

     After obtaining Epona, enter the Gorman Track and pay 10 Rupees to race the Gorman Brothers. After winning, you receive the Garo Mask (Refer to the “Gorman Brothers” in the Bomber‘s Notebook.).

Giant’s Mask - a mask that makes Link giant and enables him to fight Twinmold

     The Giant’s Mask lies in Stone Tower Temple (Refer to “Stone Tower Temple”.) Defeat an Eyegore, and a chest appears containing the mask.

Gibdo Mask - a mask that allows Link to speak to Gibdos

     In Ikana Canyon, enter a Spring Water Cave and play the Song of Storms for a ghost named Sharp. Water flows from the cave into the canyon and powers a music box house that defeats Gibdos. Enter the house and move down stairs. Approach a cupboard to see a mummified man. Play the Song of Healing for him to receive the Gibdo Mask.

Goron Mask - a mask that changes Link into a Goron.

     After obtaining the Lens of Truth, use it to see a Goron ghost in Goron Village. Speak to the Goron and follow him to his grave. Play the Song of Healing for him to receive the Goron Mask.

Great Fairy Mask - a mask used to summon Stray Fairies.

 As Link, collect a Stray Fairy in the Laundry Pool during the day or East Clock Town at night. Return the fairy to the fountain in North Clock Town, and the Great Fairy gives you the Great Fairy Mask. Use the mask to collect Stray Fairies in temples.

Kafei’s Mask - a mask used to ask about Kafei’s whereabouts

     On the first or second days, enter the Mayor’s Residence and speak to Madame Aroma, who asks you to locate her missing son, Kafei, and gives you Kafei’s Mask

Kamaro’s Mask - a mask that makes Link dance.

     In North Termina Field, move across a ledge to a mushroom-shaped pillar. At midnight on any night, a dancing ghost appears. Play the Song of Healing, and he gives you Kamaro’s Mask.

Keaton Mask - a mask used to summon a fox named Keaton

     After speaking to Anju and Kafei (Refer to “Anju” and “Kafei” in the Bomber’s Notebook.), enter the Laundry Pool on the third day, and enter a door at 1:00 p.m. Speak to the Curiosity Shop owner to receive the Keaton Mask (Refer to the “Man from Curiosity Shop” in the Bomber‘s Notebook.).

Mask of Scents - a mask that heightens Link’s sense of smell

     After completing the Woodfall Temple, you appear in a back area. Approach and cut vines to meet a Deku Princess. Carry her in a Bottle and return to the Deku Palace chamber. Drop the princess in front of the king.

Exit the palace and move right across lily pads to a shrine and enter.

Speak to the Deku Butler, who challenges you to a race. Begin moving and follow him.

Move right around a corner and left around another. Move left around a corner and right around another. Move left around a corner and across ramps.

Continue following the butler and move across water. Move left around a corner and right around another. Move across water and move left. Move right around a corner and left to a room. Move across stumps to the opposite end.

Continue moving and move left, then right. Move right around a corner and move left. Move across moving platforms in water and continue. Move right and right again. In another room, enter a left alcove and move left, right and left again. 

Move across a room and avoid walls of fire. Move across stairs and move right. Move forward and move right. Move left across more stairs, avoiding boulders. In another room, move to a far left alcove. Move left around a corner and move right. Move right to another room.

Fire an Arrow at a diamond switch to make fire dwindle, and move across stumps to the opposite end.

Continue moving and move right. Move left and then right. Approach the butler, and he gives you the Mask of Scents.

(While wearing the Mask of Scents, you can collect Magic Mushrooms in the Southern Swamp. Give a mushroom to Kotake in the Magic Hags’ Potion Shop, and she gives you free Blue Potion.)

Mask of Truth - a mask used to read Gossip Stones and the thoughts of animals

     Complete the Swamp Spider House to receive the Mask of Truth.

Postman’s Hat - a mask used to check mailboxes in Clock Town

     After speaking to Anju, Kafei and the Curiosity Shop Owner, enter the Post Office on the final night and give the postman priority mail. He delivers it to Madame Aroma in the Milk Bar Latte. When he leaves, speak to him, and he gives you the Postman’s Hat.

Romani’s Mask - a mask that allows you to enter the Milk Bar Latte at 10:00 p.m.

     On the first day in Romani Ranch, speak to Romani and defeat ghosts that appear in the ranch at night. (Refer to “Romani” in the Bomber’s Notebook.) On the second night at 6:00 p.m., ride with Cremia through the Gorman Track, and prevent the brothers from destroying Milk bottles by attacking them with Arrows. Cremia then gives you Romani’s Mask. (Refer to “Cremia” in the Bomber‘s Notebook.)

Stone Mask - a mask that makes you invisible to certain people and enemies

     Ride Epona through east Termina Field. In another area, use the Lens of Truth to see a soldier named Shiro. Give him Red Potion, and he gives you the Stone Mask. (Refer to “Shiro” in the Bomber‘s Notebook.)

While wearing the Stone Mask, you are invisible to Bad Bats, Beamos, Boes, Bubbles, Chuchus, Dodongos, Dragonflies, Gerudo Pirates, Guays, Keese, Leevers, Mad Scrubs, Nejiron, Real Bombchu, Skulltulas, Snappers, the Takkuri,  and Tektites.

Zora Mask - a mask that changes Link into a Zora.

     In Great Bay Coast, approach a Zora in the ocean and push him to shore. Play the Song of Healing for him, and you receive the Zora Mask.



Heart Pieces

Heart Piece 1

     In South Clock Town, give a Business Scrub a Moon’s Tear. Use his Deku Flower to collect a Heart Piece atop the Clock Tower.

Heart Piece 2

     In North Clock Town, enter a hole behind a fence to a Deku Scrub Playground. Play and win a game on all three days to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 3

     In West Clock Town, enter the Post Office on the first day from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Speak to the postman and complete his challenge. You must press A at precisely ten seconds to receive a Heart Piece. (Note: Wear the Bunny Hood Mask to see the time.)

Heart Piece 4

     Enter the Stock Pot Inn restroom. At midnight, a hand appears. Give it a deed or letter to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 5

     In North Clock Town, move across pillars to a slide and a tree containing a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 6

     In the Swordsman’s School, complete an Expert Course. You must Jump Attack ten logs to score 30 points and receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 7

     On the first or second nights in West Clock Town, wear Kamaro’s Mask and dance in front of the Rosa Sisters to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 8

     Near the Milk Road entrance in Termina Field, move among grass. Enter a hole and defeat a Peahat. Open a chest containing a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 9

      In north Termina Field, move to mushroom-shaped pillars and enter a hole. Defeat two Dodongos and open a chest containing a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 10

     Enter the Astral Observatory and look into the telescope. In Termina Field, watch a Business Scrub enter a hole. Move to Termina Field and enter the hole. Speak to the Business Scrub, who offers a Heart Piece for 150 Rupees. Reject the offer to pay 100 Rupees for the Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 11

     Near the entrance to the Southern Swamp, defeat Bad Bats and climb a tree containing a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 12

     In Southern Swamp, give a Business Scrub a Land Title Deed. Use his flower to reach a Heart Piece atop the Tourist Information hut.

Heart Piece 13

     Take a photo of Tingle or the Deku King, and show it to the man in the Tourist Information hut to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 14

     In the Deku Palace, enter the Inner Palace Garden. Hide behind leaves from Deku guards and quickly move behind garden patches when the guards face opposite of you. In another area, quickly move past leaves when a guard moves opposite. When more guards face opposite, move behind garden patches and collect a Heart Piece. (Note: While navigating the platforms above the Inner Palace Garden, you may drop to the ground and collect the Heart Piece.)

Heart Piece 15

     In Termina Field, four holes contain four Gossip Stones. While facing the largest Gossip Stone, you must play one of three songs - Sonata of Awakening, Goron Lullaby or New Wave Bossa Nova - in all holes to receive a Heart Piece. The locations of the holes are next to bushes past a tree containing the Skull Kid’s drawing in South Termina Field, under a rock near water pillars in West Termina Field, above a snowy slope in North Termina Field and next to the Astral Observatory.

Heart Piece 16

     In Woodfall, move past the big platform and around the area to a chest atop a stump. Open it to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 17

     In the Town Shooting Gallery, you must achieve a score of 50 to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 18

     In Honey and Darling’s Shop, you must win a game on all three days to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 19

     In the Swamp Shooting Gallery, you must achieve a score of 2120 to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Container 1

     Defeat Masked Jungle Warrior Odolwa to receive a Heart Container.

Heart Piece 20

     Enter Romani Ranch. (You can enter the ranch on the third day if you cannot carry a Powder Keg). Move to the opposite end of the ranch and enter a Doggy Racetrack. Speak to a woman and bet 50 or more Rupees. Enter a pen and choose a dog. (You can read the dogs’ thoughts using the Mask of Truth.) Speak to the woman and your dog races. If the dog you chose wins first place, you win 150 rupees and a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 21

     After completing the Woodfall Temple, enter the Tourist Information Hut and speak to Koume. You must pay 10 Rupees to play her game. As you ride the boat around the swamp, shoot 20 or more of her targets to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 22 

     In Goron Village, give a Business Scrub a Swamp Title Deed, and use his flower to reach a Heart Piece atop a ledge.
     
Heart Piece 23

     In Clock Town, enter the Treasure Chest Shop and play as a Goron. Move past rising pillars and open a chest containing a Heart Piece.

Heart Container 2

     Defeat Masked Mechanical Monster Goht to receive a Heart Container.

Heart Piece 24

     In Great Bay Coast, enter the Marine Research Lab and deposit five fish in a tank to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 25

     In west Termina Field, destroy a boulder to reveal a hole. Inside, defeat Bio Deku Babas. Destroy beehives, and a Heart Piece emerges. As a Zora, dive underwater and collect the Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 26 

     During spring in Snowhead, move to the area of bridges and move underwater as a Zora. Open a chest to receive a Heart Piece. (Collect Rupees underwater and open a chest in an alcove for a Red Rupee.)

Heart Piece 27 

     In Great Bay Coast, dive under a waterfall and defeat a Like Like to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 28

     In Zora Hall, enter Japas’ room. As a Zora, produce the guitar, and Japas plays the notes Right, Right, Down, A. Finish by playing A, Down, Right, A. Japas then plays Left, Left, Right, Down, and you must play Down, Right, Left, Down. Next, enter Evan’s room and speak to him. As a species other than a Zora, play the notes to him to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 29

     In Zora Hall, enter Lulu’s room and give a Business Scrub a Mountain Title Deed. Use his flower to reach a Heart Piece on a ledge.

Heart Piece 30

     In a chamber in Pirates’ Fortress, move across stairs. Destroy barrels in a corner to reveal a switch. Press the switch and a dungeon gate opens. Quickly move to the dungeon and collect a Heart Piece. (Refer to “Pirates’ Fortress” in this guide.)

Heart Piece 31

     Enter the Trading Post or Astral Observatory and teach a scarecrow a song. Next, move near the entrance to Snowhead, and use the Lens of Truth to see stones. Move across the stones and play the Scarecrow’s Song. The scarecrow appears on a ledge. Hookshot to the scarecrow and collect a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 32

     Enter the Trading Post or Astral Observatory and teach a scarecrow a song. In Great Bay Coast, move near the areas leading to Pinnacle Rock and Pirates’ Fortress. Move to an area of ledges and Hookshot across pillars. Plant and water a Magic Bean in soil, and ride a plant to a ledge. Play the Scarecrow’s Song and the scarecrow appears. Hookshot to the scarecrow and collect a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 33

     In the Oceanside Spider House, speak to Stalchilds to learn an order of shooting colored skulls. Shoot the skulls in the correct order, and a gate opens. Move across stairs and open a chest containing a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 34

     Wearing the All-Night Mask, speak to Anju’s grandmother, and listen to her story “The Carnival of Time”. Answer her question with “On the eve of the festival” to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 35

     Wearing the All-Night Mask, speak to Anju’s grandmother, and listen to her story “Four Giants”. Answer her question with “I dunno” to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 36

     Enter Waterfall Rapids and race the Beaver Brothers to receive a Bottle. Race the brothers again to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 37

     Inside Pinnacle Rock, defeat eight sea snakes to rescue a seahorse’s friend and receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Container 3

     Defeat Gargantuan Masked Fish Gyorg to receive a Heart Container.

Heart Piece 38

     You must gather and conduct a choir of frogs in Mountain Village during spring. Wearing Don Gero’s Mask, speak to a frog in the Clock Town Laundry Pool, another in the Southern Swamp in the section containing red flowers, another after defeating a Gekko in Woodfall Temple and another after defeating a Gekko in Great Bay Temple. In Mountain Village, wear Don Gero’s Mask and conduct the choir to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 39

     After completing Great Bay Temple, proceed to Great Bay Coast and move to an area near Pinnacle Rock. Ride a boat to an area of ledges and Hookshot to a tree. From 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., speak to the fisherman and pay 20 Rupees to play a game. You must repeatedly jump to a ledge with a lit torch in under two minutes and score 20 or more points to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 40

     On the second night in Ikana Graveyard, enter a grave and defeat enemies. Defeat an Iron Knuckle, and open a chest containing a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 41

     Wear the Postman’s Hat, and check any mailbox in Clock Town to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 42

     In North Clock Town, Romani Ranch or Mountain Village during spring, wear the Keaton Mask and cut bushes that scurry. When Keaton appears, answer all his questions correctly to receive a Heart Piece. (Refer to “Keaton’s Quiz” in this guide.)

Heart Piece 43

     Enter the Mayor’s Residence and the mayor’s office. Wear the Couple’s Mask to end a meeting and receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 44

     In Ikana Canyon, give a Business Scrub an Ocean Title Deed, and use his flower to reach a Heart Piece on an opposite ledge.

Heart Piece 45

     In Ikana Canyon, enter the Ghost Hut and pay 30 Rupees to fight four ghosts in under three minutes. You must fight a ghost named Amy. Dodge her attack and strike her when she appears. You must then fight two ghosts named Jo and Beth in the same manner. You must then fight a ghost named Meg, who clones herself. Strike the ghost that turns. When the ghosts are defeated, you receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 46

     On top of the Ancient Castle of Ikana, move left to a surrounding ledge and shoot a diamond switch to dwindle fire from Deku Flowers. Use the flowers to reach a Heart Piece. 

Heart Container 4

     Defeat Giant Masked Insect Twinmold to receive a Heart Container.

Heart Piece 47

     In Ikana Canyon, enter the river and swim through a left opening. (On a ledge, enter a hole. Inside, defeat Babas and open a chest containing Bombchu.) Move behind a waterfall and enter an opening.

Inside a shrine, fire a Light Arrow at a sun emblem to unlock a barred door and enter. (Plant and water a Magic Bean in soil. Ride a Magic Plant and collect Rupees.)

In a central room, speak to a man. Move across ledges to a left opening and enter a door. In a room, defeat three Dinofols. Attack each Dinofols, and avoid its fiery breath. A chest then appears containing a Silver Rupee. 

In the central area, move to a right opening and enter a door. In a room, defeat a Garo Master. As the Garo Master charges at you, move away to confuse and attack him. A chest then appears containing a Silver Rupee.

In the central area, move to two center openings. Past a left opening, enter a door. In a room, defeat a Wizrobe. Attack him with Arrows. As he clones himself, use Tatl to target and attack him. Afterward, a chest appears containing a Silver Rupee.

In the central area, enter a door past a right center opening. In a room, defeat a Wart. Destroy its eyeballs, and shoot its eye three times. Shoot its eye twice more to defeat it. Afterward, a chest appears containing a Silver Rupee.

In the central area, open a chest containing a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 48

     Rupees you collect during your adventure should be deposited in the Clock Town Bank. Deposit 5000 or more to receive a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 49

     Inside the Deku Dungeon, use Deku Flowers on rotating blades to move across and collect a Heart Piece on an opposite ledge.

Heart Piece 50

     Inside the Goron Dungeon, change into a Goron and roll across a path at full speed. As you reach open chests, release the Control Stick, but continue to press the A button. Roll across ledges and stop as you reach a bridge. Move across bridges and move left around a ledge. As a Goron, roll across the ledge to another. Move across bridges and face left. Roll across a path and ledges to an opposite area. Near open chests, roll across a path to another area and collect a Heart Piece.

Heart Piece 51

     Inside the Zora Dungeon, change into a Zora and swim through pairs of tunnels in either of three paths to reach an area containing a Heart Piece: right, left, left, left; left, right, left, left and left, left, right, left. Collect a Heart Piece behind a Gossip Stone.

Heart Piece 52

     In a final room past mini-bosses in the Link Dungeon, collect a Heart Piece behind a Gossip Stone.



The Bomber’s Notebook

1. Bombers

     As Link, complete Jim’s challenge to join the Bombers group and receive the Bomber’s Notebook. (Note: Enter the observatory using the code without completing the challenge; Jim is impressed and gives you the notebook.)

2. Guru-Guru

     On the first or second nights, enter the Laundry Pool and speak to a man. He confesses to stealing a Bremen Mask and gives it to you.

3. Old Lady from Bomb Shop

     At midnight on the first day in North Clock Town, a thief robs an elderly woman. Strike the thief using the sword. The woman gives you a Blast Mask, and you are able to purchase a Big Bomb Bag at the Bomb Shop. 

4. Person in the Stock Pot Inn restroom
     
     At midnight on any day, enter the Stock Pot Inn restroom. Give a hand a deed or letter to receive Heart Piece 4.

5. Kamaro

     In north Termina Field, move across a ledge to a mushroom-shaped pillar. Speak to a dancing ghost named Kamaro. Play the Song of Healing, and he gives you Kamaro’s Mask.

6. Rosa Sisters

     On the first or second nights in West Clock Town, wear Kamaro’s Mask and dance in front of the Rosa Sisters to receive Heart Piece 7.

7. Grog

     Enter Romani Ranch. (You can enter the ranch on the third day if you cannot carry a Powder Keg.) Move to the opposite end of the ranch and enter a Cucco Shack. Speak to a Grog near a tree. Wear the Bremen Mask and march around the shack, collecting ten small chicks, that become roosters. Speak to the Grog, who gives you the Bunny Hood.

8. Romani

     On the first day, enter Milk Road and place a Powder Keg near a boulder blocking the entrance to Romani Ranch and enter.

Inside Romani Ranch, approach a house and barn to find Epona in a pen. Speak to a girl named Romani, who informs of ghosts that invade the barn and steal cows. Romani asks for your help and has you perform a practice test. Ride Epona around the ranch and burst ten balloons using Arrows in under two minutes. Romani then teaches you Epona’s Song - Up, Left, Right, Up, Left Right.

At 2:30 a.m., ghosts appear around the ranch. (Play the Inverted Song of Time to slow the ghosts.) Stand between the house and barn and attack the ghosts using Arrows (If you use all your Arrows, retrieve more from a crate or bushes behind the barn.). The ghosts disappear at 5:15 a.m. Afterward, Romani gives you a Bottle of Milk, adding a Bottle to your items.

9. Cremia

     After helping Romani, you must help her sister, Cremia, in the same three-day period. On the second day, enter the barn and speak to Cremia, who offers you to accompany her as she delivers Milk to Clock Town. At 6:00 p.m. near the barn, speak to and ride with her. She rides through the Gorman Racetrack, and the Gorman Brothers appear to shatter her bottles of milk. Attack them using Arrows. The brothers whoop, indicating they will strike the bottles, so attack them before they do so. Upon reaching Clock Town, Cremia gives you Romani’s Mask, a mask that allows you to enter the Milk Bar.

10. Gorman Brothers

     While riding Epona, enter the Gorman Racetrack and speak to the Gorman Brothers. Pay 10 Rupees to race them. While racing, press A to increase Epona’s speed (Tip: While using the carrots, wait for each to refill one by one; waiting for carrots to replenish after all have been used takes long.). You must jump across fences and stay close to corners as you cross them.

After beating the Gorman Brothers, you receive the Garo Mask, a mask that allows you to see Garo spirits in Ikana Canyon.

11. Shiro

     Ride Epona through east Termina Field. In another area, use Epona to jump across fences. Use the Lens of Truth to see and speak to a soldier. Give him Red Potion, and he gives you the Stone Mask, a mask that makes you invisible to certain people and enemies.

12. Toto

     On the first or second nights, enter the Milk Bar Latte between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Speak to a Zora named Toto, who needs help performing a song. Move atop a stage. As Link, move under a center spotlight and play the notes Up, Right, Left, Right. As a Deku Scrub, move under a front left spotlight and play the notes Right, A, Down, Left, Right. As a Goron, move under a rear left spotlight and play the notes A, A, A, Down, A, A, A, Right. As a Zora, move under a right spotlight and play the notes Up, Right, Down, A, Up, Left, Right, Down. Afterward, a song is completed.

13. Gorman

     After helping Toto perform (Refer to “Toto”.), speak to Gorman, who gives you the Circus Leader’s Mask.

14. Anju’s Grandmother

     On the first or second days, enter the Stock Pot Inn and speak to Anju’s grandmother. Wear the All-Night Mask and listen to her stories. After she reads “The Carnival of Time”, answer her question with “On the eve of the festival” to receive Heart Piece 34. After she reads “Four Giants”, answer her question with “I dunno” to receive Heart Piece 35.

15. Anju

     On the first day, enter the Stock Pot Inn. The innkeeper, Anju, leaves her desk to serve lunch to her grandmother. When she returns, speak to her, and she gives you a Room Key to a center room on the second floor (Inside the room, open a chest for a Silver Rupee.). Afterward, the postman arrives and gives Anju a letter. Speak to Anju wearing Kafei’s Mask, and she asks to meet you in the kitchen at 11:30 p.m.

Enter the kitchen and speak to Anju. She gives you a letter you must deposit in a mailbox.

After speaking with Kafei (Refer to “Kafei”. ), give Anju the Pendant of Memories.

After helping Kafei on the third day, enter the Stock Pot Inn. Enter Anju’s room on the second floor (Open a chest containing a Silver Rupee.). When Kafei arrives, you receive the Couple’s Mask. 

16. Kafei

     Speak to Anju in the Stock Pot Inn kitchen (Refer to “Anju”.), and she gives you a letter you must place in a mailbox. On the second day, enter the Laundry Pool. The postman arrives at 2:45 p.m. and gives a letter to a boy. Afterward, enter a door. Inside, move across stairs and speak to the boy, who reveals himself as Kafei. He gives you a Pendant of Memories you must give to Anju.

On the final day, enter the Laundry Pool and the door at 1:00 p.m. Speak to the Curiosity Shop owner to receive the Keaton Mask and priority mail to Madame Aroma (Refer to “Man from Curiosity Shop”.). Next, enter Ikana Canyon and enter another section past the river. Move behind rocks and speak to Kafei. At 6:00 p.m., a thief named Sakon appears. You must hide from him as he enters a hideout. Enter after him.

Inside, enter a door. In a room, Kafei presses a switch, causing a door to open and a mask to move on a conveyor machine. As Link, press the switch.

As Kafei, enter another room and push a block on a blue switch. As Link, enter a door and defeat a Deku Baba. As Kafei, enter another room and press a blue switch. (Red switches increase the speed of the conveyor machine, and yellow switches slow it.)

As Link, enter another room and defeat Deku Babas. As Kafei, enter a room and pull a block from a door. Next, pull a block from a red switch. Pull a block from between red and yellow switches, and press a blue switch.

As Link, enter a room and defeat a Wolfos. As Kafei, enter a room and press a blue switch. As Link, enter the room and press a blue switch. Kafei then retrieves the mask.

Return to Clock Town and enter the Stock Pot Inn. Enter Anju’s room on the second floor. When she and Kafei unite, you receive the Couple’s Mask.

17. Man from Curiosity Shop

     After speaking to Kafei, enter the Laundry Pool on the final day and enter the door at 1:00 p.m. Speak to the Curiosity Shop owner, and he gives you a Keaton Mask and priority mail for Madame Aroma.

18. Madame Aroma

     On the first or second days, enter the Mayor’s Residence and speak to Madame Aroma. She asks you to locate her missing son, Kafei, and gives you Kafei’s Mask.

After speaking to Anju, Kafei and the Curiosity Shop owner, enter the Milk Bar Latte on the final night. Wear Kafei’s Mask and give Madame Aroma the priority mail. She gives you a Bottle of Chateau Romani, adding a Bottle to your items.

19. Postman

     On any night, enter the Post Office between 3:00 p.m. and and 12:00 a.m., and complete the postman’s challenge. Press A at precisely 10 seconds to receive Heart Piece 3.

After speaking to Anju, Kafei and the Curiosity Shop owner, enter the Post Office on the final night, and give the postman the priority mail. He delivers it to Madame Aroma in the Milk Bar Latte. When he leaves the bar, speak to him, and he gives you the Postman’s Hat.

20. Mayor Dotour

     After obtaining the Couple’s Mask, travel back in time and enter the Mayor’s Residence on the first or second days. Enter the mayor’s office and wear the Couple’s Mask to end a meeting and receive Heart Piece 44.

Spider Houses

In each Spider House, you must defeat 30 Gold Skulltulas and collect their tokens.


Swamp Spider House

     The Swamp Spider House lies in the Southern Swamp past the Deku Palace. Burn a web using a Fire Arrow or lit Deku Stick and enter. To complete it, you must have a ranged weapon (Hero’s Bow or Hookshot), a Bottle, and two Magic Beans.

Inside, speak to a man cursed into a spider. He asks you to defeat Gold Skulltulas and retrieve tokens. (Collect bugs under rocks in Bottles.) Enter a door.

In a central room, move behind a ramp. Defeat a Skulltula in a pot. Defeat another Skulltula in water. (You may collect the water in a Bottle.)

Two soil patches lie on opposite walls. Drop bugs into the patches to unearth and defeat Skulltulas.

Move toward center pillars. Wait for a Skulltula to climb down a pillar and defeat it. Next, enter a left door.

In another room, cut vines and defeat a Skulltula on a wall. Next, roll into the first and fourth of five vases to reveal Skulltulas. Next, break barrels and defeat a Skulltula.

Destroy beehives on a ceiling containing two Gold Skulltulas. (Be careful of Giant Bees.)

As a Deku Scrub, play the Sonata of Awakening to wake a sleeping Deku Scrub. When it leaves, use its flower to reach a top area. Wait for a Skulltula to climb down a wall and defeat it. Use the Deku Flower to reach a ledge and exit a door.

On a top floor of the central room, drop bugs into a soil patch to reveal a Skulltula. Next, use a Deku Flower to reach a center pillar containing a flower. Defeat a Skulltula on a wall, and use the flower to reach its token.

Next, fly to the opposite top floor and defeat a Skulltula on a pillar. Enter a door.

In another room, defeat a Skulltula behind a torch. Defeat another Skulltula on a monolith and another on a wall. Move to the ground and destroy crates to reveal two more Skulltulas. Next, destroy a boulder. Plant and water a Magic Bean in a soil patch. Ride the plant to retrieve a token. Exit into the central room.

Return to the room containing the large vases and use the Deku Flower to reach the top area. Enter a door.

In another room, hit a diamond switch to reveal a ladder. Defeat a Skulltula on the ladder. Next, destroy beehives on a ceiling to reveal a Skulltula. Move behind a pillar, wait for a Skulltula to climb down and defeat it. Defeat another Skulltula above an alcove. Next, climb the ladder and plant and water a Magic Bean in a soil patch. Ride the plant to collect a token above the alcove and enter the alcove. Move forward and enter a door.

In another room, defeat two Skulltulas in bushes. Defeat a Skulltula inside an above beehive. Next, roll into a tree to reveal and defeat three final Skulltulas.

Return to the beginning of the spider house and speak to a man, who gives you the Mask of Truth, enabling you to communicate with Gossip Stones and animals.

(Across the spider house, move to an area of land and enter a hole. Inside, cut bushes and defeat Babas. Open a chest containing a Red Rupee.) 


Oceanside Spider House

     Inside the spider house, you must have a ranged weapon and use the Hookshot to collect Skulltula tokens. Bomb a cracked wall to reveal an opening. Defeat two Skulltulas above a slope, and use the Hookshot to collect their tokens. Move down the slope to an area. Use a Fire Arrow to burn a web on a ceiling and defeat a Skulltula. Next, Hookshot to a target over a fence and enter a door.

In an area, approach vases. Roll into a vase to reveal a Skulltula. Next, burn a web covering a vase, and roll into it to reveal another Skulltula. Near the top of stairs, defeat a Skulltula crawling from a skull mask. Defeat another Skulltula on a rafter. Next, burn a web from a door and enter.

In a room, move three dressers to reveal a hole containing a Skulltula. Next, climb a shelf and defeat a Skulltula between the wall and ceiling. Near the shelf, shoot a painting to reveal a Skulltula. Move to the opposite end of the room and move a shelf. Defeat two Skulltulas in an alcove. Climb the previous shelf and move across others. Shoot a painting to reveal a hole containing a Skulltula. Next, defeat a Skulltula atop a shelf.

In the previous area, move down stairs to a basement. Defeat a Skulltula between the wall and ceiling. Move behind the stairs and defeat a Skulltula crawling from a skull mask. Next, move atop crates and defeat a Skulltula in a pot. Burn a web over a hole containing a Skulltula. Next, roll into a vase near a torch to reveal a Skulltula. Behind the stairs, burn a web from a door and enter.

In another room, defeat a Skulltula and Black Boe. On a right wall, destroy a crate containing a Skulltula. Burn a web on a ceiling and destroy a Skulltula on a beam. On a left wall, destroy a crate to reveal an alcove. Inside, defeat a Skulltula above the opening. On the opposite end of the room, move atop crates and defeat a Skulltula behind canoes. Near the entrance, move atop crates and Hookshot to a target. On a top area, defeat a Skulltula in a pot.

In the previous basement, enter a door near a torch.

In another room, burn webs and defeat a Skulltula between a wall and ceiling. Move near red and blue skull masks, and roll into a vase to reveal a Skulltula. Next, shoot a painting near the masks to reveal a Skulltula. As a Goron, pound a table to reveal three final Skulltulas from a chandelier.

(Speak to Stalchilds in the spider house to obtain an order of shooting colored skull masks. Shoot the masks, and a gate opens. Move across stairs and defeat a Skulltula. Open a chest containing Heart Piece 32.)

In the first area of the spider house, Hookshot to a target over a fence and roll across a slope as a Goron. Speak to a man, who gives you a Giant Wallet.
