I. Introduction
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey folks! Welcome to my FAQ for The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess.
Nintendo has treated us to a spectacular Zelda title for its latest console, a
game that puts easily meets the standards of its predecessors. This game is a
long and engrossing tale that will span the furthest reaches of Hyrule itself.
But as with any Zelda title, you're going to need to seek out some Heart Pieces
if you hope to stand up to the game's tough enemies and brutal boss battles.
Got that WiiMote firmly in your grasp? Good. Let's go get some hearts.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
II. What Are Heart Pieces?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just in case you're new to the Legend of Zelda franchise (and I sincerely hope
you aren't), here's a brief explanation on Heart Pieces and why they may be
necessary to ensure your survival throughout the game.

At the beginning of Twilight Princess, Link will possess three Hearts that can
be seen on the upper lefthand corner of your screen. These tiny hearts
symbolize Link's health; if he gets hit enough times, he'll keel over and die.
Can't exactly save Hyrule if you're dead, can ya?

However, his pathetic health ratings can be improved by acquiring the Heart
Pieces that are strewn all over the land. They can be anywhere; stuck in
Trees, kept as rewards for fulfilling certain minigames, and found inside
More treasure chests than you can probably shake a stick at. Once you've
collected five Heart Pieces (sorry, old-time Zelda fans, it'll take a little
bit more this time), Link will gain additional Heart, thus bolstering his
health and allowing him to endure longer in battle.

As previously stated, Link begins with three Hearts. He will gain a complete
Heart for each of the eight dungeons that you'll complete throughout the
adventure. Additionally, there are 45 Heart Pieces hidden throughout Hyrule.
That totals to 20 Hearts, people. Think you can get them all?
