WWE WrestleMania X8 User Reviews
Multiplayer. Multiplayer was the most exciting part of this game and I found that it was the only good part about this game. Playing with buds and playing in handicap matches or other types was the funnest. The bad:
Mostly everything. I didn't find that this was really exciting. I thought the only feature of this game that was good was the multiplayer. The rest, was pretty much everything I've seen in other wrestling games and overall, this game is not worth trying or even renting.Summary:
WWE WrestleMania X8 brings the bright lights and brutal action of World Wrestling Entertainment (formerly Federation) to the Nintendo GameCube.
With a star-studded roster of 42 wrestlers, WWE WrestleMania X8 lets you control your favorite superstar. Masters of the squared circle like The Rock, Hollywood Hogan and Chris Jericho are all here, complete with entrance music and trademark moves.
It's Hailarious to playThe bad:
The music, the graphics, the options, the gameplay, the motions of the characters, The everthing else.Summary:
This game rotts, I remember someone saying this game was better than Smackdown??!!!?? have you even played smackdown, I can't see how you can take this game seriously, it's funny and a great game if your looking for a laugh but thats all its really good for, I mean the create a character is screaming out MAKE A FOLLISH PILE OF BLOB WALK!!! secondly i don't like the game for its ridiculously poor accuracy to the characters looks, smackdown 2,3,4,5 and even 1 did a much better job on all that, not to mention they were all funny and Great to play and you could take them seriously if you wanted...
the battle for the belts is cool. The bad:
thers no story mode in the game.Summary:
this game is'nt that all great.the graphics are to cartoonish and the creat-a -wrestler is'nt that good.and theres not much wrestling moves in the game.but theres alot of good wrestlers in there.and theres not much options in the game.so if your thinking of buying this game what util its like $20. ...
Plenty of characters to unlock. Good belt challengeThe bad:
no career mode. create a player weakSummary:
thq are responsible for this title and in mania ways the fighting system is closer to it's SMACKDOWN! series than aki's NO MERCY for n64.
Graphics - nice and big but there is some clipping
Sound - not it's strong point but generally it's okay no commentry which is shocking!
Gameplay - good simple controls but the clipping and the collision detection is weak
Life span - if it wasn't for the battle for the 51 odd belts this game would be quite short also i found it a little simple
Great graphics and authentic music - the greatest wrestling game ever. The bad:
Almost completely lacking in atmosphere, not up-to-date at all, and fiddly controls.Summary:
Before I get this review underway, I'd like to give an unexpected comment - I'm not a wrestling fan. I have no hate for the program or the franchise, I simply don't watch it.
The copy I reviewed of this game was on rental, so you'll forgive me for not being so thourgh. I rented it because I wanted a decent four-player beat 'em up - and I had finished with Super Smash Bros. Melee. I had reservations - I felt that the Smackdown games were absolutely awful, but I gave it a go anyway.
It turned out to be better than I hoped, quite good in fact. There were some moments that had some real humour in...
The graphics are great, awesome control system, great reverals. Best Hell in a Cell of ANY game to date! Most realistic Ladder Match of any game to date! Decent roster, but limited.... First game to have the superstars of the infamous WCW/ECW Alliance angle. Great Intros and good concept for Battle for the Belts. The bad:
Limited superstars, lame CAW, limited matches and limited moves per superstar!Summary:
This game started out like the original Smackdown for Playstation with the limited moves and control system but added to it with the great Reversals of Finishers and just about any other move! If it had a better Season mode, this game would be a classic! Great concept for the first Gamecume Wrestling game attempt, I think the next one will be more promising! (If there is a next one! Lets keep our fingers crossed)
