Total Extreme Warfare 2004 review
Best sim ever...period

Summary:

Gotta say, this is my DREAM GAME! Ok, first off, I'll say it's a downloadable game and trust me, it's worth the 35 bucks. Now let me tell you this, when you first buy the game, it is NOT worth 35 bucks. It isn't but. The music is terrible, the wrestlers aren't even real, and it's really hard trying to work with this whole made up wrestling world. But don't worry, this is all you need to do. First off, open the 400 Softwares folder, go to Sound, and replace all the music files with your favorite song. Then it would rule, booking matches to your fav. theme music or song. Then, go to TEW forum in the downloads section, you can download a new update that will have all real wrestlers, up to date champions, and all real promotions! After that it's WELL worth the 35 bucks. Oh yeah, and don't forget to get the latest patch. Ok, now that I have finished that part, let's get onto the gameplay value. Now this is a text based game, so you won't really see Triple H bopping Chris Jericho's head. Let me tell you, how much money do you think poor Adam Ryland (the creator) would have to pay to get licenses to every single wrestler and company in the wrestling world to make models of them? Yeah, I thought so. Well anyway, you start off as a booker. A Head Booker to be exact. You can choose to start off with any company or even unemployed. If your unemployed. You gotta keep offering your services to companies. This could take days...weeks...hell even months to get a job for even the smallest company. That's why I recommend starting off with one. Now with the update, you can be CZW, TNA, WWE, all the good stuff. Now the object is to keep your roster in order, keep your wrestlers and staff happy, have a good referee and announcing team, book good matches with a mix of quality and reaction. You can choose the style you want so you get a certain fanbase. What I mean is maybe you want to be a Sports-Entertainment federation like WWE or TNA, or you could be a Hybrid fed like RoH. You can even change it. Imagine, WWE as a Hardcore Fed or TNA as a Women's Only Fed. You can do anything with this. At the end of each show, you get an e-mail from some workers and your rating. Usually the workers ask for a meeting. Okay, that's only HALF of what you can do in this game. HALF! You can do so much. Fire workers and have conflicts with his friends. Hire workers and make their husband or best friend happy. Workers becomming friends, workers becoming enemies. Wokers starting to date. That's still just HALF. There's so much more. You can put your workers on a TV show like Conan O'Brian ot Howard Stern. You could edit it and create your own worker, staff, even your own Booker. So much to do. How do you beat the game you ask? There is no end! You play forever and ever and ever. It's a neverstopping game. I HIGHLY recommend you buy this game. If your a wrestling fan that wants to change what your favorite federation does, this game is for you!
