To the Moon is a narrative adventure RPG featuring 16-bit inspired graphics. Players experience the story of two doctors, Eva Rosalene and Neil Watts, who have the ability to dive into the memories of a dying patient named Johnny to help him "relive" his lifelong dream of going to the moon.
Eva and Neil will essentially witness key moments of Johnny's life in reverse, going "back in time" to his childhood by solving puzzles at each stage and uncovering new fragments of his life. The game unfolds like a classic RPG with a top down viewpoint and menu-based user interface.
To the Moon was produced and its soundtrack composed by Freebird's Kan Gao, with the single "Everything's Alright" performed by Plants vs. Zombies' lead composer Laura Shigihara. The game was designed using Enterbrain's RPG Maker XP program and released for digital distribution in 2011 to critical acclaim, including winner of "Best Story" at GameSpot's 2011 Game of the Year awards.
