Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 User Reviews
ultra realistic graphics, create-a-character, tournaments, scenarios, and mostly the skillzone. The bad:
not a single thing wrong with the game!Summary:
this game just blew me away! it has the greatest graphics engine ever made for a sports game OR a playstation 2 game. the graphics are ultra fluid, making you feel like you are at the game and not playing it. the tournaments are very structured and help you become a greater golfer as well as fatten your wallet. the golfer creation mode (also known as the EA Sports Game Face) is just phenomenal! you can build your character to be so lifelike that it is scary! and also, helping a golfer out could not be better. you can spend money on upgrading your character as well as your arsenal of clubs. ...
Playstation 2 - Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004
This years version of Tiger Woods' game has been updated with all new gameplay features and different modes of play. There is everything from an incredibly long career mode in which you must boost your created golfers stats up from a lowly amateur to be able to beat the greatest golfer in the world to the most in-depth online golf game in video game history. EA Sports laid everything down on the line to get this game just right, and in that gamble they won in every way.
In all honesty there is very little that can depreciate from the experience of the...
Perfect blend of simulation and arcade style gameplay
Great Controls. I love the precision swing system
Most elaborate create-a-player mode ever
Plenty of courses, both real and fantasy, to play
Great 2-player game.
Way too easy
Putting system could be better
This is the best golf game that I've ever played for sure. And there's enough new additions to the game to make it worth buying even if you already own TW 2003. The PGA Tour Season and the Real-time Events are two new game modes that'll keep you busy for a long time. Perhaps the best addition though, is the new EA Sports Gameface mode. It allows you to create a character that looks exactly like yourself or any other person that you could possibly imagine.
Bottom line. This game rocks. It's just a little too easy.
- Very realstic
- Lots of Golfers
- You can make a very detaled character with Create-A-Golfer.
- Good graphics
- Not online in EuropeSummary:
I haven't previously played any other Tiger Woods game, so when I frist got the game I wasn't to sure what to expect. But I am very pleased with what I got for my money.
First off there is so much to do, including - World tour, PGA Tour, Scenarios, Real-time events and Online play in the US(unfortunately not in Europe). Obviously doing all of this would take quite a while, and give you your moneys worth.
The actually gameplay is also very good, although if your Golfer has high spin stats it can make the flight of the ball a little unrealistic. I also have found the game to be quite a challeng...
Beautiful new courses, game face creator, more RPG elements, same great physics and game play. The bad:
Too easy to succeed. Not enough challenging NPC's.Summary:
I love this franchise! But it gets pretty boring after a while, it's just too easy to win. I usually end up winning by more than 10 strokes per round, even against Sunday Tiger.
I think the game would be much improved by making it way more easy to hook or slice the ball on a less than perfect swing. I understand that that would mean beginners would really struggle at first, but maybe three different difficulty settings could be implemented. Something like "weekend hack", "tour Pro" and "golf god" settings. Other than that, the best golf game ever created! Even though I usually dominate...
-Better single player mode than the 2003 version
-More types of gameplay
-One of the greatest Create-A-Player systems ever
-Like all sports games the announcers can get annoying
-A little easy if you have previous experience with the Tiger Woods series
Tiger Woods 2003 was the greatest golf game of all time, and now 2004 improves on that. An in-depth create-a-player and a huge selection of items and equipment to chose from gives you almost limitless possibilities to make your own golfer. The new fantasy courses are great and very original. My favourite is the arctic themed course, set in a snowy environment with icy water and miles of snow and mountains all around, yet somehow the fairways and greens are in tip top shape (a big round of applause for the groundskeepers). The controls can be a bit tricky to master, but they are the perfect ...
