Thief: The Dark Project User Reviews

8.6

Solid

The good:

A hugely entertaining that requires more than a little skill, Thief is a classic in every sense of the word.

The bad:

Ugly ugly ugly. The engine's very old now, you might want to go in for one of the sequals if you value graphics at all.

Summary:

Whenever you're choosing a character in an RPG, what class is it?

I know who I'd choose first. No, not the wizard with all his flashy tricks, nope, not that rock hard fighter. But the thief, now there's a real character.

Streetwise, stealthy, sneaky, skilled, silent, and a whole load of other words beginning with 'S', the thief is always a great choice.

And a first-person game based where you control this theif? Almost too good to be true.

Whilst looking aged now, Thief is still enormous fun to play. Every aspect is taken care of. Get past guards by walking silently, keeping to shadows, crawlin...
