The Warriors review
An excellent brawler

First to say, this game is long so don't expect to beat it in 1 or 2 days. If you have seen the original Warriors movie, then you will be completly familiar with some of the characters, settings and sayings.

Taking place 3 monthes earlier before the movies backround, you get to play as each main Warrior, and complete basic missions such as tagging enemy gangs turf(as well as tagging their "burners") , destroying gang hideouts, taking out gang leaders and just basicly getting the Warriors gang known.

After the basic missions, comes the movie's setting, which is a little short. The game follows the movies story very well, with a few slight changes in order for it to be beaten without it taking a full month.

If you don't want to do the missions, there always side missions in which you can defend your territory from enemy gang raids, track and waste people that messes with The warriors and it's allys, tagging over enemy gangs' grafitti, destroy and steal from stores, cars, and even mug people for their money. If you run out of spray paint, weapons, or "flash"(drugs, that restores health if running low) from dealers all over levels, and your homebase.

Theres plenty of mini games also, such as exercizing(sit ups, push ups, chin ups and boxing with the punching bag) which boosts stamina, physical damage and health, an arcade-styled game called "Armies Of The Night"(you play a member of The Warriors and fight your way through each well old-school designed level), flash back missions(levels that show how each Warrior joined the gang), rumble mode (in which you can either play against a friend or the computer, in which you fight 1 on 1 or 5 gangs fight all at once).

The sound and graphics are really well designed, and the AI is great, with excellent commands such as "Let's Go"(Warriors follows you), "Hold On"(Warriors stays where they are), "Watch My Back"(Warriors ready themselves for battle, defends you in battle, and finds weapons in the current area) "Wreck Em All"(Warriors takes down enemys) and "Scatter"(Warriors split up and fins a hiding spot).

Overall, this is a great game and I highly recommend you buying the movie(1970s original) before you play the game, so you can follow along with the story. The reason why I didn't give it a perfect 5 is because it might get a little boring after a while. If your not so sure about this game, I suggest you rent it.
