[edit] Background

This timeless classic was invented by a Soviet engineer and is one of the most famous games ever made. Move the falling bricks to make complete rows so they vanish and repeat for as long as possible. If you can get more than one row to vanish at once then your points will rack up faster.

Bricks that fall will come in different shapes.

[edit] Game Play

The goal is to keep destroying lines of bricks as they fall. Bricks fall from the top of the screen and move slowly down the screen. When the bricks land on the bottom of the screen they stick in place. Pieces can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise to get a perfect fit into the existing layers of bricks.

Once the bricks touch the top of the screen the game is over. The game gets progressively harder by increasing the speed of the falling bricks, and you go up in levels as you destroy more lines of bricks. Because you get more points destroying multiple lines of bricks, strategically it is always best to build the bricks up such that you delete as many as possible with each piece dropped, so that you can get the most points possible before the difficulty goes up.
