Stand up together! Remember the day you- Wait, when did you get here? Well, while you're here, I might as well tell a story, and stop singing. 2 days ago I picked up a copy of Battlefield 3, and man do I have a lot to say about it.
First off, the controls. The way it handles is quite a stretch from Modern Warfare 2, particularly the sensitivity. I tried just about every setting till I said, "Ok, this is the setting I'm going to get used to." The controls for the Airplanes/Helicopters are also rather wonky, especially for a long-time Ace Combat player. Since when is L1 shoot? And Circle to get out, instead of fire missiles? It took a few accidental meetings with the ground, and some unexpected sky-diving sessions till I could at least get somewhat used to the controls. As for the Helicopters... ugh. There is no control scheme that matches what I'm used to in helicopters, thanks to Ace Combat, and I still find myself meeting the ground way too fast.
Next, the single player campaign story. It seems pretty robust, though Dice might have just borrowed some of the elements of Black Ops for their story. So far, where I am (halfway through the first mission) it seems good.
Well, that's about all I have to say about this game. Hope you enjoyed this non-thorough, and completely bias review/list-of-complaints-to-an-otherwise-great-game.
