Sega's First Launch for the Gamecube is a dandy of a game.

The good:

Great Graphics, 90 Levels, different experiences, bananas, mini-games...

The bad:

Some levels are ridiculous, controls.

Summary:

After the N64 was no more in May 2001, Sega stepped in to produce the first ever title for the next-generation GameCube in July 2001. I borrowed this game from a friend and was hard to let go of. Mainly based as a single-player game, you can explore through various levels, 90 as much as. Play as 4 different characters of different types and ages, play Monkey Golf, Target, and explore through a grand prix. If you want to play this game though, I warn you, it will take you a definite while to get used to the controls, the title doesn't have the word "Ball" for nothing. You are in a circular m...

Monkey Madness

The good:

-Simple
-Fun
-Easy to learn

The bad:

-It needs more varieties of characters
-Sensitive joystick
-Childish look

Summary:

This game really surprised me when I purchased this. I wasn't expecting much but Super Monkey Ball blew me away. This game is so simple yet so fun. There are varieties of mini games to choose from for a fun multiplayer. Also, there is racing and fighting within this game so you can get used to the controls if moving the joystick is too much for you! The 1-player mode is not in-depth but there are many many levels within this game to keep you attracted and your mind working as how to complete the level.

Multiplayer is something many people look for in a game and the multiplayer within ...

Super Monkey Ball - But Is It Super?

The good:

The levels are quite fun, and the graphics are pretty neat for a GBA.

The bad:

The Controls are hurrendous. If you had an anologue stick for the GBA it would be easier, but only being able to go up,down.left and right is very hard and makes the game really confusing

Summary:

Super Monkey Ball JR is a fun puzzle game to have on your GBA. It is probably better if you have two GBA's, Two Game Cartridges and a link cable to do the game with each other, but on your own it is a real challenge.
A main problem with the game is the controls, I can't stand not being able to go in any direction, where an analogue stick would prove useful. All you can do is go up,down, left and right and go faster and slower with a and b.
They have really tried with this game, trying to make it the best 3D they can on the GBA - but near the end, it get's exeptionally hard!

Super Monkey Ball

Summary:

This game is one of the simplest games I've played, but the addicting element still stands. Addiction and Simplicity have always had close connections, anyway. If you would likke to know the elements, well, basically you steer some monkeys around. Inside of balls. On Tracks. Sounds super enough to me. I'd go for it if you are unfamiliar and new to Super Monkey Ball, or GC all together. This game does a good job of smaking your coordination upside the head. In other words, this is a difficult game that will get you attention, and keep your mind working. An old concept, but terminall...

Honestly...

The good:

Well, I'd have to say the graphics are fairly good

The bad:

For starters, they need to make the courses strike more of a challenge. Sure, moving platforms...big deal.

Summary:

This game wasn't all I thought it would be. I got the game cheap and thought it would compare somewhat to, say, the one for Gamecube. But I was disappointed.

The game got quite boring after a while, considering that you don't do much but just move around the courses. It repeats itself and there's not much to do after you've given up on it. You still see the same thing when you play it, and that's irritating. There's no upgrades, nothing new, no new stages, games...You just can't have teh fun you expected if you have played the other one.

If you're starting with this one, sicne you don't have...

Don't let the kiddish look fool you...

The good:

Great multi-player games. They have loads of different modes to play in. Its a great game! It has good graphics, good characters, good modes, good storyline and basically everything else...

The bad:

The kiddish look steers people away from the game...

Summary:

I rented this game expecting a very kiddish game but the second I turned it on, I fell into the addictive gameplay it had to offer. It had loads of different modes for multi-player, all of them with a very high replay value and fun factor. The storyline objectives are a bit harder but fun none the less. Overall, a great game that I would recommend to any gamer out there. Don't let its kiddish looks fool you.

Overall Outcome: Buy It!
