Three years can do a lot for a developer, or at least a series... or even a sub-series, in the case of the Super Mario Land games. Between then, the Game Boy found some success in the form of the first Super Mario Land game, Tetris, Kirby and the Mega Man ports, but on the whole, its portability made up for its small list of worthwhile games.
