Three years can do a lot for a developer, or at least a series... or even a sub-series, in the case of the Super Mario Land games. Between then, the Game Boy found some success in the form of the first Super Mario Land game, Tetris, Kirby and the Mega Man ports, but on the whole, its portability made up for its small list of worthwhile games. Super Mario Land 2 for the GameBoy. The sequel to the mega-successful launch title, Super Mario Land for the same handheld system.
The game differs in many ways to the first one. For the first difference, the game cartridge has an internal battery, where you can save up to three game files. The last one had no internal battery, therefore you had to play the game all the way through to complete it, and you couldn’t save high scores.
