Super Mario Kart User Reviews
- The great beginning of the Mario Kart series
- Great music
- Great maps/races; the classic race maps of the series
- Good graphics for the time; very colorful
- 3 difficulty classes
- 8 great racers to choose from
- 1P and 2P racing and battling; good split screen with friends
- Amazing battle mode
- Collect coins to keep your health up so you do not spin out
- Use items on other racers to gain advantages and win the race
- Simple controls
- Shortcuts in some levels
- A few fun game modes
- If you do really bad in a race, you can try again
- Wish there were more battle mode courses because it is a great game mode
- You can only play battle mode with friends, not CPU opponents
- Depending on your character, your main opponents will be the same every race
- No story; you just race, which is fine
- A few more characters would have been cool, but is not necessary
- Occasional flashy graphics can be distracting
The start of it all in 1992: the first Mario Kart racing game. It really is a great start of the series, and left a lot to be expanded on for future 3D versions.
The main mode of the game is the Grand Prix mode, where you race around a few race tracks in each mode, trying to do as best you can in each race. Your goal is to have the most points after the last race so you place 1st overall.
There is a good set of characters to race as and maps to race on. It is really fun to race around and try to win, as well as hit opponents with items. The maps are very unique and all feel and look different...
Classic gaming wrapped up in a KartSummary:
Super Mario Kart is a racing game based off of characters from the Mario series. What made this game such a hit is the pure fun it provides to any age group wanting to play. You not only race but have many items you can use at your disposal to either hurt your opponent or help you. This game is also very easy to learn as well, so newcomers will love it. However, there is lot's of skill still there for the pros to use to their advantage and dust you.
There are many tracks to choose from ranging in difficulty. As well as many characters to play, 8 in total and all having their own strengths a...
A variety of all your favourite characters from various Mario games to choose from.
This game never gets boring as multi-player is great.
Nothing that i can think of about Mario Kart is bad.Summary:
This was the first of the current four Mario Kart games that i played and the oldest too but in my opinion it is still the best. The variety of characters is really good as you have a wide range to choose from. The graphics are really good considering it's on a 16-bit console, i actually think it's better graphics than most Gameboy Advance games. The sound on the levels are really good and you wont get bored of it. The level designs are really good and there are alot to choose from. The multi-player is really fun and even on your own you couldn't get bored because you could always just keep...
First title to feature go-kart racing. Several Nintendo characters available. Fun multiplayer options. The bad:
When this title first came out, I was immediately drawn to it just because it involved go-kart racing, something that had never been done before. Additionally, Nintendo took 8 popular characters and inserted them as the racers for more fun and made tracks themed after familliar Mario environments.
The graphics look great without any slowdown. Plus you can drive and look at a map below at the same time, all without the frame rate being hindered. The music is nice and the sounds are right out of classic Mario games in some cases. The controls are quite responsive, not much different form most ...
What a classic. The coolest and most exciting mario kart game ever created. The gameplay, the fun, the music, it's all good. Mario and his friends taken over the roads with the karts is awesome. I can remember playing this game as a youngster and it's still good for all ages. Now let me tell you the good in this game:
Gameplay. The game is very addictive and today I still play this game even though it's like 14 years old. I mean, you can't get bored of this game. Playing with friends only makes it funner.
Music. The music in this game is awesome and I have even went as far as recording this music, that's how fun it is.
Karts. The karts look awesome in this game. The karts are classic looking and they are my favourite looking mario karts of all time.
Difficulty. The difficulty in single player was hard and that's what I love about this game a whole lot. Mostly when you play mario games, they are easy but this time the game was pretty hard and I loved it.
Single player. I got a little bored of single player after a while and this was the only part of the game I didn't really enjoy as much.Summary:
Great game. The best mario kart game ever created in my opinion and if your a fan of the Mario kart series, make sure to get this game since this is where the series started from and this is where all the best is at. Got get the game now if you still don't have it.
The good ol classic fun of Mario Kart, racing with the oldschool characters, and the courses. The bad:
The game gets really old once you have played it and beat it over 1000 times..XP, Donkey Kong..Summary:
Ahhh yes good old Mario Kart, this game was the best racing game of all time. The game play was to fun, playing the battle mode is one of the best things to do in this game...alot better than the other Mario karts...The courses are pretty fun until you get tired of playing them over and over. The best driver in this game is of course the Koopa Trooper, I think he was the fastest in the game, followed by Yoshi and Peach. Even though this game is a classic it does have disadvantages, no one really plays it anymore... All I have to say left is...Old School RULZ!!
