Super Mario Bros. 3 User Reviews
Excellent level designs that are complimented by Mario/Luigi's tight controls and smooth graphics. The soundtrack, albeit limited, is fantastic and provides a surprisingly high level of ambience. The bad:
The lack of a save feature is a bit disheartening for such a long game.Summary:
Released in 1988 in Japan and 1990/1991 internationally by Nintendo, Super Mario Brothers 3 took the world by storm! It was going to be larger than life going by how it was advertised – it was even the main game in The Wizard despite the game itself having not come out yet, and the way it was introduced made it look like a divine gift to us mere mortals – and by gum, did it live up to that! With more levels than the last batch of Mario games combined and more variety intricately placed into each level, Super Mario Brothers 3 is the billionaire who invested his savings wisely and provided j...
Oh man, Super Mario Brothers 3... man, this game was *bleep*ing HUGE when it came out! Whether it was practically the centerpiece of a movie before it even came out (The Wizard) or being impossible to find if you didn't pre-order it or something like that, wow, this game had everybody by the balls. I wouldn't blame them. This game was fantastic! It took everything that made the first game work, and added and tweaked it all so that it would be able to destroy the senses without needing the reputation of saving gaming (not downplaying the first Super Mario Brothers game, but looking back... o...
Great level design
A lot of levels to go through
Play with a friend
Complete lack of a save system
A bit too generous with items
A lot of Nintendo characters started out on the age old NES system. Mario, one of Nintendo's most recognised gaming icons, established himself as one of the best platforming stars of the video game world on this very system. Super Mario Brothers 3 marked Mario's third foray into full size platform adventures, and it turned into one of the biggest NES games ever.
The problem when reviewing an old game is how to approach things considering the limits of the system a game is on. Is it fair to judge a game on current generation standards? This dilemma is no more pronounced than when judgi...
The best out of the 3 NES mario games.
Great new features like new items and secrets.
Can't be all the people you could be in number 2.
Graphics arn't the best of the three.
Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best out of the three NES Mario games as it features loads of new things to do, secrets and items and it's a longer and more strategic game. There are still all the original concepts in the game and alot more but unlike the second Mario game you cannot choose what person you want to be which kind of sucks. The new traveling to worlds system is really cool because it doesn't mean you have to go to all the worlds.
Overall i'd definitly have to say that this was the best out of the three and maybe even the best on the NES system, all Mario fans must play this game.
Everything. The Gameplay, The music, the level design, the bosses, EVERYTHING.The bad:
Okay, where to start? Bringing back the orignal gameplay from Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 kicks some serious ass. The game is extremely fun even after playing it a hundred times. The level design is great, the enemies are vivid and colorful, and the game is challenging at some parts, but still remains fun. The bosses, even though very similar to each other, show their own unique skills and attack patterns. Bowser's back as the final boss and fighting him is a great experience, especially when you see him fall down a bottomless pit. Now for the music... Excellent. That's all that ...
The fact that it's a Mario game
Just plain fun to play
It has the Koopalings in it.
Just about everything else
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I can't see anything bad about this game. It's fun to play, and it has the Koopalings in it, and has plenty of other good stuff. If you call this game bad, then I call Goombas hard to beat. XD.Summary:
All I can say about this game is that, even to this day, it's still fun to play. I didn't intend to rhyme that. This game is definitely a classic! A classic I tells ya! Ya hear me? A CLASSIC! AND ONE OF THE BEST PARTS ABOUT IT IS THE FACT THAT IT HAS THE KOOPALINGS IN IT! I MEAN SERIOUSLY, WHAT MORE COULD YA POSSIBLY WANT? FINAL WORD, THIS GAME IS AWESOME!
