Take Command

Summary:

When Starfox first hit the SNES it certainly left an impression. It was one of the first console games to put in 3D graphics through the use of the SuperFX chip. Crude polygon 3D granted, but 3D nevertheless. When Star Fox 64 arrived it hit another success by expanded on the ideals of the original game. From there critic reception of later games went down a little. Star Fox Adventures was regarded a good but "not a Star Fox game" and Assault had its own set of problems. Now the DS version Command has arrived with its own tweaks to the system.

The game is set many years after the events of As...

Starfox Command- Take 'em Down, Boys!

The good:

BEGIN TRANSMISSION: STARFOX: COMMAND
The Good:
Various commands in your Arwing, such as barrel rolls
Different fire rates
Different weapons, such as bombs and your normal fire
Storyline- somewhat short, but has 9 different endings
Lots of replay value
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
Various levels

The bad:

The Bad:
Not many people play the game, although it is very good
Move + time system (ex. you have 5 turns to defeat all enemies, and a certain amount of time to kill all of them)

Summary:

Main:
Starfox Command- a great game, or not?
I say it's an amazing game. It surpassed my expectations. Starfox Command is a very fun game, both online and off.

Wi-Fi:
The Wi-Fi in this game would probably be ranked as mediocre. Very few people play it, and there aren't any "custom" options. It's just a plain dogfight. The person who gets the most kills, and collects the star that comes out of the fallen ship, wins.
If only more people played this online, it would probably be the best choice for Wi-Fi games on the Nintendo DS.

Shoot down your opponents in both Wi-Fi, download, and story mode. Diff...

A fine installment to the Starfox series

The good:

The touch screen controls work marvelously and while the battle system is a bit different then the last Starfox games, mapping out your route on the touch screen and fighting any enemies you encounter works out pretty good. Multiplayer also proves to be just as fun as always.

The bad:

The game has the problem of being way to short, maps usually being cleared in a few minutes and the campaign runs too short as well, but fortunetly the game offers a number of alternate paths which is great for replay value.

Summary:

The plot to Star Fox Command is pretty brief which is one of the major downfalls of the game, the incredibly short storyline. After you've completed the game once you can play it again taking alternate paths with new missions which compensates for the length.

Basically what is happening in the game is that a new threat named the Anglar Emperor unexpectedly attacks the Lylat system, with all of the members of Star Fox disbanded Fox McCloud decides to meet the Anglar forces alone.
