Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow User Reviews
It's a cold night and the air is still. Not the greatest of working hours, but hey, everyone's got to make a living. The guard spins around suddenly, gun raised. He was sure he had heard something, but now only silence greets him. Cautiously he approaches the deep shadows that was the source of the sound. Only the guard would never hear another thing as Sam Fisher dispatches another obstacle and continues on his mission.
Sure, stealth ops sounds like so much fun. Distract enemies then nimbly slip around and take them out in a variety of ways. However, fiction has a tendency to glorify things...
Light shadow effects
Player movement is fluid
Good online play
Some insanely hard parts
Ever since playing the first Splinter Cell, I have been anticipating the second installment. The first was awesome, with a captivating storyline and fun gameplay. Furthermore, I could download new levels. This second Splinter Cell follows in the first's footsteps very well. Most characters are still around, Sam Fisher is still wearing the famous black suit with night goggles, and the terrorists are at it again. The 17 single player levels are great practice for online play, which definitely defines a whole new genre. The mercenaries vs. spies structure is perfect, and can lead to hours of g...
Better graphics than the first, that means that they're amazing
Bigger areas to explore
Cut scenes look like you're watching a film
Enemy AI is now mind-blowing
The train level is THE BEST!!!
Yet again the lighting is awesome
and Yet again, a cool story
SUCH COOL GADGETS!!!
Still can get very frustrating at certain points
Still needs more checkpoints
more ammo and more guns
This improves and revamps everything that was great about the original. Graphics, story, AI, cutscenes etc. are all totally cool. Small things like the ability to confuse your enemies by whistling from where they can't see you is just so funny, and the fast paced train level is f*ckin' the best. I love this game, you love this game, everyone loves this game.
Every Xbox owner should have this game. I've played the third one (Chaos Theory) at Game Stars Live, and its better than the first and second mushed together. Bring on March '05
The graphics are at least as good as the last Splinter Cell. This I find as a good point considering so many games actually get worse. That UbiSoft is using an advanced physics engine as their main selling point is a shame. There is no deference in this or any other Splinter Cell game. The bad:
Well, how about the phrase, "You've blown it Fisher!". You'll hear this far too often as your game play is stifled by the pathetic limitation imposed by the unimaginative game developers. "Here's a whole bunch of cool weapons and toys to use, except, you can't have them in almost all the levels, and the levels you can have them in, well, you can't use them because it will break some restriction." I hate when developers make a game that is so annoying to play that would rather watch grass grow then be tortured by the constant reloads and game glitches. This is a crappy installment and not worth a dime. I plan to return the game post haste.Summary:
You'll likely read all sorts of reviews *bleep* on how great this game is. Don't be fooled. These reviews are from people who don't care how much money they spend and a crappy game. They are just happy to be playing some cheat piece of crap game no matter how bad it is or how much they have just been ripped off.
Take my advice. If you want to play a game that gives you the freedom to truly beat the levels using your wits and stealth skills, find another title. Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is like one of those Disney course where you drive a car on a closed track with a metal track keeping...
it is one of the best online games ever if you dont have it .why dont you have itThe bad:
nothin bad about it unless it needs more regular downloads and bee a bit cheaper but there are so meny people who have it so there is online players one 24/7Summary:
omg it is so gd if you have it add my gamer tag and tell me you found me game tag on neo seeker.splinter cell was such a classic they had to make another then another you have to own it. and get all three of them there all quite cheap all the tom clancys games are useally good .YOU HAVE TO OWN IT! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Graphics, stealth, gameplay, stealth, stealth and well... StealthThe bad:
Quite hard, people talk like robots and some bits are way too dark even for Sam!Summary:
This was an instant hit with me as I loved the first one on the XBOX and it's easily made the transaction onto the PS2. The online games are just heaven in a bottle! The only things that let it down were the difficulty, the fact that the talk like robots and he's just too well camouflaged to be human.
I've spent ours fighting with my brothers to win the arguement... is Sam Fisher a human? He seems to blend into the background, but the enemies spot him and when your clear as daylight the walk right past you!
It won't be one for the kiddies and it won't be popular with the wuzzies who are afrai...
