SoulCalibur II User Reviews
High replay value
Heihachi is NOT a good guest characterSummary:
Soul Calibur II is my #1 favorite fighting game of all time. It took everything from the blockbuster smash hit Soul Calibur and made it better. If you're a fan of the fighting genre, definitely purchase this game. Whichever version you choose, you will NOT be sorry.
The story in this game is quite nice and some characters' stories will suck you in. Especially the new characters. It's not the best in the world but it's pretty close. There isn't really much to say about the story since it's a fighting game and let's face it fighting games never really have noticeable stories.
The gameplay is re...
Soul Calibur II isn’t a game that needs introducing, being part of a very popular series. A very well-known game from Namco, this fighting hack-and-slash game has drawn in and hooked many a gamer into becoming fans. Naturally, this made me feel a couple of years ago, that I also had to buy this title to see what the fuss was about. And so I delved into my first arena-fighting game several years ago, stopping shortly after. Wondering at this current point in time why, I loaded the game into my Wii to develop my thoughts on what is arguably one of the best known games on the Gamecube.
You can ...
Highly addicting arcade fighting gameplay
Voice acting was decent enough
Dungeons are tedious as all hell after some time
Cheap fighting conditions at times
Long button inputting sequences for combos
Somewhat cliched story
Soul Calibur 2 was the first Soul Calibur to be released after the fall of the Dreamcast. Many would say that Soul Calibur died with the Dreamcast, but they might be thinking of Sonic, because Soul Calibur isn't dead yet (though there is one crappy spin-off game on the Wii). Judging by the reviews and responses from gamers and gaming sites, Soul Calibut 2 shows that the series won't be dying anytime soon.
There are two stories in the game - usual Soul Calibur story that takes place after the last Soul Calibur game on the Dreamcast, and the one in the Weapon Master mode. The story for Soul Ca...
Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros. All are superb fighting titles that have raked in plenty of cash for their consoles including Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter that also made flash appearances on the old consoles such as the SNES and some even going on to being installed in video game arcade centres. Street Fighter may be the fighter that has held out longest, Tekken may have had a runaway victory upon the dawn of the Playstation saga, Mortal Kombat may be by far the most brutal and Smash Bros. the cutest, there is one fighter that just about manages to squeeze out o...
-Nice music and sound effects
-Fun and addictive gameplay
-Nice multiplayer options
-alot to keep you going
-Might be repetitve but thats not always bad.Summary:
Not bad, especailly for the gamecube. The environments are nicely detailed same as with character detail. The lighting effects are nice too. The character movement is good too.
The music in the game fits perfectly with the mood and sound effects seem realistic also. There isn't much voice acting and what voice acting there is isn't anything special.
The controls are nicely maped onto the controller and easy to get used making it fun for the fastes learner or the slowest.
Soul Caliber II is a fighting game so if you don't like fighting games you probably shouldn't t...
I enjoy playing this game with my friends almost every day, trying to outwit and beat each other. Once I beat the game, I knew that the fun had just begun. The bad:
Besides a few minor... extremely minor glitches there is nothing bad about this game.Summary:
This game is amazing in every way, stunning graphics and actually quite an intuitive storyline. The storyline is based on the weapon master mode, but then there is also a backside storyline to every single charachter in the game. Unlockables are fun to retrieve, including weapons, costumes, art galleries and more. Link, my personal favorite character, is depicted very well in this game. He utilizes alot of his special features, like the pegasus boots and many of his weapons, even the unknown, legendary, great fairy sword. The weapons of every character are quite fun to try out and all chara...
