-You unlock new things so it doesn't get boring.

The bad:

-Expansion packs cost a lot.
-No online mode.
-The game doesn't always look that good on wider or smaller computer screens.

Summary:

I think this game is really good for all ages. It doesn't get boring with the new expansion packs. Okay so I'm going to give you a tour and some tips.

You start off with three different neighborhoods which are: Veronalville, Strangetown and Pleasant View. Veronaville has a really entertaining Romeo and Juliet theme. With the two families Monty and Capp are biccoring over a broken promise. Obviously young Romeo and Juliet in love. Strangetown is well you can tell by the name strange they've got aliens and the works. Strange behavior goes on there. Pleasant View has includes the family of the ...

The Sims 2 developed by Maxis and distributed by Electronic Arts with the genre of life simulation.

Now let us start with the tour to The Sims 2. A great successor of Sims 1, the Sims 2. It became the bestselling game over 2004. Which sold a hundred million copies. Gamers all over the world, especially teens, bought the game. With so many expansion and stuff packs it allows you to customize anything.

The Best Non-Combat, Simulation Game You Will EVER Play.

The good:

~Many options are available. You can get a job, socialize, go out and party, decorate your house, throw parties, and much more.
~The Create-A-Sim area allows for extensive customization of characters, and creation of original ones.
~Nearly unlimited playing time, as families grow and move into their own households.
~Creative details include using "Simlish" instead of actual sound bytes.
~Addictive playing style will keep players glued to their computers for hours.
~Players can control the age group for each member of a family.

The bad:

~Sometimes, clunky, uneven animation occurs.
~Most of the best options must be bought with expansion packs, which can be costly.
~Houses and community lots can take quite a while to load.
~The learning curve for the game can be high, as there are a lot of options available, which can overwhelm.
~The online site requires that you spend more money on downloads, which can annoy.

Summary:

As only a handful of games can accomplish, The Sims, when it first came out in 2000, was revolutionary. Never before had there been a simulation game of such a large scale, and people everywhere immediately became hooked on it. Teenagers, especially, loved the "no rules" style of the game. It quickly became the top-selling PC game of all time. It was so popular, in fact, that in 2004, a sequel appeared - The Sims 2.

In my opinion, there's no better way to spend time stress-busting or just playing around. The game starts with three pre-made neighborhoods, in which you can play the establ...

The Sims 2 PC

The good:

Great graphics
Interesting Expansion packs
Behind all the new features it's still our old sims.

The bad:

Sometimes takes a while to load
Takes up a lot of space.

Summary:

The game is a wonderful step up from the first sims and lets you customize your sims faces, hair and clothes in the create-a-sim menu as well as allowing you to add personality points and an aspiration.

The whole idea of aspiration is great too. You can pick family, fortune, popularity, romance, knowledge and if you buy the Nightlife expansion pack, Pleasure. Each aspiration has wants and fears and when one or another is achieved the aspiration of the sim goes up and they can buy aspiration awards.

Although the game has a lot more features and cool items it has the same idea which is to play ...

The Next Generation

The good:

-More building tools
-The ability to build above 2 floors
-More realistic gameplay
-Aging process
-Better graphics
-Moving making tools
-More styles of furniture

The bad:

-Need more advanced video card, RAM upgrade etc.
-Big house + Lots of sims = Lag with lower end computers

Summary:

Overall this is a good game for those who love to play simulation games and is a major improvement on the original sims games. Better graphics and better in game features and gameplay makes this a good game but be warned you need to have a computer that has high settings to deal with the new higher graphics.

The extra details such as the aging process and the ability to talk and have relationships with household staff, and other details as reflections in mirrors make the game just that little more realistic.

The create-a-sim options have increased as you can change almost every detail of yo...

Sims 2 - Your life within a computer!

The good:

-Greatly improved graphics, making a more realistic environment.
-More intricate game play e.g. Actual days, aspirations, pregnancy.
-A new aging process.
-A wide range of clothes, for every aspect of a Sim's life.
-Thousands of items to choose ,from a Victorian chair to a modern table.
-Movie making tools, to create and edit a Sims movie.

The bad:

-Higher graphics means a better computer.
-Unable to minimize, to do other tasks.
-Even with a good computer, big house, lots of items, lots of Sims, really eats away at your computer's performance.

Summary:

The base game, by itself, is by its on right a fantastic game. There are so many new features, that simply bring the game to life.
You can now become a friend, or a best friend. Have a crush, or fall in love. Also if you choose to get married, you won't suddenly get dressed in clothes and do it right there and then. If you propose you'll be engaged and have the opportunity to plan your wedding with a wedding cake and audience.
Also pregnancy has changed. It won't ask "Do you want a baby? Yes or No?" You will actually go through a whole stage of pregnancy, with morning sickness and...
