SimCity 4 User Reviews
Superb graphics and a lot more buildings to choose from. Loads of downloads available and placing commercial, industrial and residential buildings is much easierThe bad:
Can get a little boring and placing water pipes and power stations is annoying. You do not get to choose your own residential buildings and stuffSummary:
Much better than Sim City 3000 and the graphics are much better. The add on for this game is brill coz you can actually control cars and name streets and stuff but even without the add-on this game is great. A wide range of buildings helps to please your residents and visitors. The regions give you a huge area to work on and you can fit plenty of stuff on there. A great game and is especially good for keeping dads from nagging you. Well it works for mine any way
You have to provide basic needs for your sims like water, electricity, shools, places to work, hospitals, firestations, police stations, landfill or some other means to dispose of wast, and you can even make deals with your neighbors. There are other things you can include like marinas, airports, industrial sectors, commercial sectors, farm zones, sea ports, and other special little prizes that will become available periodically like statues, ballparks, science centers, and other hi-tech industries. You have total control over your little city like the taxes and loans. It's like a real city...
SimCity 4 has the best gameplay of almost any simulation game on the market. Maxis did their best to make this game realistic, and they did a good job of it.The bad:
Most people will agree with me when I say that SimCity 4 has a big problem with performance. Once you have a large enough city, the game becomes extremely sluggish. However, the patches released at the official SimCity 4 website address most of these performance issues. I highly recommend that anyone who owns this game, downloads the patches (especially patch 2.)Summary:
SimCity 4 is an excellent game overall. It is a very large step up from the previous installments in the series. It's very layered and much more complex than your average simulation game. If you can't handle SimCity 3000, I suggest you practice a while before purchasing SimCity 4.
Just about everything.The bad:
- Is it just me, or are there no scenarios? Oh well.
- And a minor thing, I wish you could terraform on a larger scale, like with the region, rather than city by city..although the use of grayscales allows this, so it's all good.
This is definitely one of my favorite games of all time, so far. it's so addictive. Any Maxis/Sim City fan would love this game....................................
For the next game, I think they should add more variety of several things......like more bridge types, highway types-like ones that are not elevated......Chicago's Lake Shore Drive is an example, more stadium types.....there should be basketball and football ones..............
still a great game, that I'll play for a while
Everything-good graphics, buildings, details and the newly added feature SimsThe bad:
the game may tend to freeze or go slow a lot-you run out of money to quickly(seems to be a problem with most people)Summary:
the game has many newly added features like more buildings, sims, and better graphics. I liked the detailed things like the day/night cycle and the flickering street lights. The music is also another thing I liked about the game and the sounds of the people and cars:-D I would recommend this game to anyone because it is a really great game and has a lot of great things in it..i would definetly buy this game!!! ( a lot better than the other Sim Cities) I would give this game two thumbs up!!!!!!!!
Buy the game man it's worth the money;)(i think at least) LOL
Basicily the articthectare, landscaping, controlled distaers, city buildings upgrade them selves. The bad:
Needs very high-tech equipment to play. Freezes if you have low powered computer after 20,000pops.Summary:
