Ridge Racing to the limit

The good:

Great audio and visual
Long World Tour Mode
Good gameplay

The bad:

Slight repetition after a while

Summary:

This was my very first game for the PSP, and a good game it is, and I'd highly recommend this to anyone who owns a PSP. It's easy to pick up, and hard to put down. With great visuals and a great soundtrack, this game is brilliantly suited to the racing genre. Take a plunge in to World Tour Mode and fight your way through the numerous races and challenges in the game, to unlock more courses and more cars.

In all there are 24 courses to unlock, along with 6 Classes of Cars and a Special class, and as you complete each individual tour, of which they are nearly 50 overall, you will unlock more c...

A Great First Game To Get for the PSP

The good:

Awesome Graphics/Audio
Easy Controls

The bad:

Summary:

I think that this is a great first game to get for the PSP. It's a pretty simple game in the beginning, but as you get up in the tours, it gets harder and harder. The other cars start to go faster, the tracks get slightly harder as you go on, they get the ability to use turbos too, etc. Eventually, after (about) tour 28, you have 1-on-1 races. They have a really good car that goes the same speed, if not faster, as you. It gets really challenging at that point.

The game has wonderful graphics. The headlights blur (and leave a trail behind) when you're going fast. When you go into a tunnel, yo...

Perfect for a first game

The good:

Very sharp graphics make this game instant eye candy. The dynamics of the vehicles is better than expected for a handheld title. Highly addictive at first, yet offers a nice challenge after a few hours of game time. Lots of music available during the races.

The bad:

If you're not using the in-car camera, there are times when it gets stuck in an overhead view which is impossible to use. Small, and rare glitch. The menu music gets very repetitive after a few races. When running into some walls, you don't lose your speed, you just get bumped into the center of the track, which in some ways can be a big help, but it's just not proper.

Summary:

If you're looking for a great game to buy when you get your PSP, this should be worth a look. Most places sell it on the low end of PSP game prices, which when you're shelling out the cash for the system is a sigh of relief. There are a few other games on the low price end that are also nice, depending on your taste in games. Racing game lover? Pick this one up for your PSP. Money to burn? Get GT4.

I'm glad I bought this game for my PSP system, and it will give me many hours of game play to both master and complete it.

Although the menu background music is way too repetitive and gets on your ...
