It's my first day!

Summary:

If Resident Evil 6 didn't indulge itself into just being an out and out third person shooter, the thought of Resident Evil 2 would spiral me into a deep depression that'd make me want to sell all of my Resident Evil merchandise just in an effort to never, ever think about it ever again and cheer up maybe a tiny bit. While I'm more partial to the Silent Hill series (both old school and new school), Resident Evil was what encouraged me to take those steps into the world of survival horror with its blend of item conservation, exploration, puzzle solving and zombie slaying... well, not so much ...

Welcome back to survival horror... pls go

The good:

The concept seems interesting enough and the files you collect manage to clue you in more as to what's going on. Survival elements, like limited item storage and the need to conserve bullets and herbs, are well implemented. There's also a good amount of replay value to be found with multiple endings and campaigns. It can also be fairly tense at times with its sound design.

The bad:

Drab in-game storytelling backed up by terrible voice acting. Tank controls and fixed camera angles... let's just say we've stopped using this set up for a good reason. Puzzles tend to be easy more often than not, and some of them are just there because... why not? While it's tense at times, there's little pay off as the "horror" consists of predictable jump scares.

Summary:

Originally released on the Playstation 1 in 1998 by Capcom and ported over to the Nintendo 64 in 1999 by Angel Studios, Resident Evil 2 continues the story from the first game (the whole T-virus zombie thing) while standing as its own thing, which is good for the sake of this port... being the only one that made it onto the Nintendo 64, and hey, if you're going to port just one old school Resident Evil game onto this beast, why not the best one? Yeah yeah, the third game had Nemesis and the first game had atrocious voice acting, but the definitive old school Resident Evil experience, to me,...

Good game, but nothing not seen before.

The good:

-Original Type of Storyline (for it's time)
-Great replay value
-Game is overall fun.

The bad:

-If you've played other versions, the GameCube version won't be much different.
-Not really worth buying unless you've never played RE2 before. (like me)
-Graphics same as PS1 version with minor improvements.

Summary:

Well, when Capcom decided to release the entire Resident Evil back catalogue on GameCube, everybody expected remakes on the levels of Zero and the first game, right? Wrong. Even though these seem to be cheap ports of the other versions, Resident Evil 2 still remains a terrifying game.

Taking control of Leon.S.Kennedy or Claire Redfield, it's your job to escape the city alive. This game in the series brought in all kinds of original monsters such as the Ivy plant, the Licker and even the alligator boss. It has a compelling story that enables you to play it through both characters' points o...

Incredible version

The good:

-Graphics
-Sounds
-Music
-Gameplay
-Controls
-Enemies and Bosses
-Story-line

The bad:

-The scenarios are confusing on ClarieB and LeonB.
-Can't do quick turn.
-Can't Dodge Enemies like RE3.
-Kinda Short.

Summary:

The graphics of this game is incredible: 1. The background looks clear 2. The blood looks realistic. The sounds are good. The music is better because it has changed a bit. The gameplay is great. The game has great details. The control is better to use now. The enemies have good details and the bosses have good details as well too. The story-line is kinda confusing till you understand the game. The game is also short too with easy mode.

Not as good as PSone

The good:

The Graphics are great, the sounds are good, the gameplay is great, Leon is awesome, Claire is very hot and Ada is HOTTER.

The bad:

There are too many cheats from the gameshark which they didn't really work and almost messed up the game, the music are not scary, and it's too hard to get Tofu!!!! The story wasn't as good as the Original Resident Evil.

Summary:

What can I say the N64 is better then the DC verion. the Graphics are way better than DC version game(no more blocky graphics). The sounds are great except the zombies. The gameplay is way better than the Sega Dreamcast version. Leon is cool and ADA is hot. The game might cost like $15 dollars or $10 dollars very cheap though. People should buy this game it's funner than DC. I give this game a 3/5.

Better than DC & N64

The good:

Excellent Graphics
Great Sounds
Suspenseful Music
Awesome Gameplay
New Characters
New Weapons
More about Umbrella
Extreme Battle Mode

The bad:

The storyline wasn't as good as the Original Resident Evil. The controls are hard to understand for the first time. Short game, I beat it less than 1 hr. 30 mins. No Jill, Chris, Barry, Rebecca or Wesker in this game which makes the game not as good as the Original.

Summary:

The game is good and all, but Resident evil 2 for the Playstaion is way better than the Dreamcast and the Nintendo 64 version. Both Dreamcast & Nintendo 64 are way easier than this Playstation version and the Dreamcast didn't make much money for the system itself. This one is harder to beat the game. I got scaried the first time and it's still scary as hell. The game graphics are way better than Resident Evil Survivor. Also for my opinion...Resident Evil 1 is better than this. It would be cool if they made Resident Evil 1.5 on the PS2 or the DS or whatever.
