Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles - Rail shooter?

The good:

Demo of older Resident Evil Games
Better Graphics

The bad:

Too Linear
Rail shooter
Spliced game

Summary:

Plot: I'm sorry to the people who actually like this game. No plot involved whatsoever, its all about the shooting. I found it way too boring and linear. You don't get to explore any of the areas like you normally do in the Resident Evil games. Its basically pieces of the games put together, into a basic rail shooter.

Graphics: I do admit the graphics are much better the the PSX. And you get sort of a demo of the older games spliced together. But I didn't even like the game enough to bother finishing it. But when you play it, you see why its called "Chronicles".

Summary:

Resident Evil was a groundbreaking game that was released back in 1997. It made up a brand new game type, survival horror, which is just as it sounds, you have to survive in a horror game. It came under scrutiny for having excesses of violence and gore, while gaming critics hated the horrible voice acting. But it gained a great following and spawned many different sequels and even a prequel. Then Capcom did the unthinkable, ditched Umbrella, and made an action game titled Resident Evil 4.
