Pokémon Platinum Version User Reviews
-amazing multiplayer with great gameplay
-large area with a long storyline
-large variety of Pokemon
-Great add-ons to the 4th generation
-great battle set-up
-hours of single-player fun
-Can almost never get boring
-Night time and Day time
-Plot is like all the other games and got very boring
-Torn World is very annoying
-incredibly long dialogue
-The add-ons are really not that great since Torn World was all they could add and it really wasn't worth it like I said, it can be really annoying when your lost or confused
-Can get annoying to organize all the things in online
Let me just point at before you read my comment that I completely recommend buying this Game.
Comment 1 The Single-player: Another great game of Pokemon! The Single-player is the very first thing you have to do in the game, and in my opinion, better the online. Collecting all 8 badges and fighting the Elite 4 is one of my favorite things about this game. I've been playing this game since I was a little kid, and that plot never gets old. But theres always a background, Team Galactic want to bring out Giratina! There plans of course fail, leading you to find Giratina in the Torn World, what fu...
-Another Pokemon game to fill in some hours of the day
-Fills in hours of the day
-Improved Battle Tower
-New Area's to explore
-Same thing like the old games
-Same basic game, get 8 gym badges blah blah
-New Dimension is very annoying
-No real improvements
The controls are like every other Pokemon game except that the fifth generation is on the Nintendo DS. The D-Pad, or directional pad, is used for movement. With the D-Pad you walk around in certain areas to find certain Pokemon. A is used to click forward thing. For example, if you go to a trainer, you need to use the A button to scroll forward the text. The B button is used to cancel things. If you made a mistake, press the B button and you will be taken back before you made the mistake. If you hold B and push the D-pad you're character will start to run. If you press X, you ...
Trainers now have a larger variety to choose from when deciding on their in-game/Elite Four teams.
-Updated Battle Frontier
The Battle Frontier has been redesigned with a more gleaming and more attractive image. Trainers in the Battle Frontier have increased in difficulty and have become more challenging.
With the cooler 3D look, it's easy to fall in love with the graphics. Game play seems extremely realistic and more appealing.
In-game rough patches are easier to push through and help is easy to find if needed.
People feel like they're chatting up with COMs more than they're actually playing the game. The added dialogue gives a bigger and more accurate explanation but many agree that too much can be boring.
Trainers hate getting lost and stuck in the legendary "Torn World." The random strolling and the repetitive scenery can get quite annoying.
-Not Enough Changes
Although the game carries many changes, more could have been improved.
A truly better game for those trying out Generation IV for the first time, otherwise it may not be as exciting. Pokemon Platinum hasn't had enough changes and updates to warrant a title of "must have" game.
Again, the game starts off with the trainer choosing his/her starter Pokemon. With three great options to choose from, settling with one may be difficult. All opponents/rivals have Pokemon and resolve their problems via battling. There are seventeen different types of Pokemon; all of which are are extremely strong or extremely weak against another type, with some that do absolutely no da...
Addition Of Wifi Plaza
Addition Of Battle Frontier
Slight Graphical Updates
Not That Different From Diamond And Pearl
Torn World Not Long Enough
Before i start this review, i would like to say just one thing, i am a HUGE Pokemon fan, and always have been, and as soon as Pokemon platinum was announced, i, like many other jumped out of my seat with excitement. However, this time around, the 3rd game of the generation has struggled to keep hooked, this may be because I'm older and i notice that not much has changed, unlike in other generations when i played the 3rd games as if it was a brand new adventure.
Pokemom Platinum is the "3rd" game in the 4th generation of Pokemon games following on from Diamond and Pearl, instead this time aro...
I've always wondered how Nintendo gets away with Pokemon. As a kid, the warning on the box stating the game includes "Gambling References" amused me to no end; It seems like a series based on animal cruelty and slavery has more pressing issues to warn parents about than their child's opportunity to play the slots. Still, one can hardly fault Pokemon for its savage undertones when the source material is nicely padded with themes of friendship, teamwork, and other moral lessons that have much less value in the real world, where trans-dimensional conflicts cannot be resolved by comparing your ...
