Capcom's Ace Attorney series debuts on the 3DS with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies. The Ace Attorney himself returns to form for the fifth flagship title in the adventure game series after winning back his lawyer's badge, but now he must contend with a disturbing reality where faith has been lost in the courtooms following what has been dubbed the "dark age of the law."
Assisting Phoenix Wright in several new cases are fellow attorney Apollo Justice and associate attorney Athena Cykes, a new character in the series with the ability to read the "Mood Matrix" of a person under cross-examination. This new feature, in addition to Apollo's eye of perception, will help players unlock crucial testimony during the trial portions of the game. Other new features include being required to "visualize" a crime scene in order to solve its mystery.
Investigation sequences are now in visualized in 3D, allowing players to change views and examine more areas than before in order to gather clues needed during the trial segments of the game, which also utilize 3D models for the characters and items.
Bonus downloadable content includes new costumes for the three main characters (Wright, Justice and Cykes) plus a new episode.
This game is also known as Gyakuten Saiban 5 in Japan.
