Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends User Reviews
A launch title for the original Nintendo DS, Nintendogs is a fantastic if not revolutionary real-time pet sim that really set the bar high for others to follow. The game is based around caring for and playing with puppies that never age, die, or have more puppies. You will have to care for them, play with them, walk them, and enter them into competitions to earn money. If you like simulation style gaming and/or dogs, this is the game for you.
First of all, gameplay. There are plenty of factors that go into life as a dog owner, but I suppose the main ones are caring, walking, contests, and tr...

Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends was produced and developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. This game has three other games similar to it Labrador and Friends, Dachshund and Friends and Dalmation and Friends. The game was first published in Japan, later followed by North America, Australia, Singapore, Europe and China. It is the best-selling stand-alone game in the history of video-gaming.
The game is about an owner which trains it's dogs: agility, obedience/tricks, disc and how to behave as a dog. You have trainer points they increase the more you play with your dogs, teach them tricks, f...

Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends is a part of the Nintendogs series for the Nintendo DS, including Nintendogs: Chihuahua, Dachshund, Dalmation, and Labrador. The dogs are all adorable.
Many different types of dogs:: There are tons of dogs you can get in Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends. You start out with only a few, but as your "Trainer Points" go up, more puppies are unlocked. Soon, you'll be able to own Dalmatians and Labs even in the Chihuahua version of the game! All of the puppies are very cute, and each puppy has its own personality. You can choose an energetic dog, a quiet dog, a ...
+ Great graphics
+ Good use of the stylus
+ Immense list of things to do with your dogs
+ Many breeds of dogs
+ Unlimited amount of gameplay
- Dogs become unhappy when you stop playing
- Voice command system is weird
- Can become very boring and repetitive
- Can only have 8 dogs, three in the main house
The moment you purchase your first dog, and see it learn it's own name, you can't help but feel good. Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends is a heart melting game, caring for adorable puppies. You will fall in love with this game as you interact with your dogs in various ways.
Interact with your dog through many tasks to raise dogs and befriend them. You begin at a kennel with 5,000$ to purchase a dog. You can select any male or female dog, choose its colour and nature. If you don't like the dogs shown, simply press back and re-select the same dog. Once you have purchased your dog, you ...
The wide variety of stuff that could satisfy your dog anyday, the amount of stuff you can do is just amazingThe bad:
Some items do the same thing, also you can only have eight dogs, and three at your place. It may seem like a lot at the time, but compared to the number of breeds you have its not a lot. And also there is only two ways you can make money which will be in the descriptionSummary:
You can do numerous activities with your dog or dogs including walking it, the more you walk it, the longer it can walk, and while your there you can find presents, meet other dogs and train your dogs for contests. There are different contests including obedience, frisbee and agility. There are also 5 levels. Your dog can play with toys, but most of the toys do the same stuff. Teach your dog to sit, backflip, lie down and numerous other stuff. You can only make money by two ways; Selling useless stuff and going winning a contest, each dog can only go to 3 contests each day. Money might be a...
The graphics in this little SIM are excellent and use as much if not all of the graphics potential available on the DS.
The puppies have traits that live up to their real life counterparts.
There is no "Tamagotchi" like atmosphere where you are just waiting for it to keel over from not being fed in day. "Honest, I was going to feed it!"
There needs to be more added to this game. Walking, throwing discs, cleaning poop and brushing my pet isn't enough for me.
The limited environment makes it easy to get bored with.
The voice commands can be tricky. I sometimes think my Chihuahua believes its name is "come".
Wireless Pet interactions seems to be a big thing in this game... but... no one I know owns it. It's hard enough finding DS owners let alone DS Nintendog owners.
Regardless of the negatives, I still find this game to be one of the better DS games out there. I'm not ripping up my screen playing a DS version of collapse and I'm not straining my thumb trying to play star wars either. It's a very relaxing and cute as hell game. Heck, I was talking to my DS like it was a 3 month old baby the first few days after I got it. It's embarrassing sitting on a plane trying to whisper to your DS, err I mean.. pups.
