Hijacking London's Last Stop station
London car drivers were pretty happy today when they noticed a certain company called Electronic Arts was giving out free gas (or petrol, if you prefer) - about $35,000 worth of it in fact. Well, some people were happy, anyway. Some were just angry at all the commotion the event caused. This is to promote the launch of their game Mercenaries 2, which happens today. A similar event was held last week in Los Angeles.
The Last Stop near Finsbury Park in North London was the location of choice, which was 'hijacked' by EA, and completely transformed into a military style bunker with jeeps, oil barrels, sandbag walls, and fully costumed actors (below) which pumped away for those after that sweet vehicular nectar.

The event is supposed to mirror events in the game, whereby a soldier takes posession of a local oil supply.
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames has been noted for its controversy, prompted by criticism from the Venezuelean government (where the game takes place). The body accused the U.S. government of trying to drum up support from Americans for a real-life invasion with the purpose of overthrowing the country's president Huge Chávez (Pandemic Studios, the developer, has previously made Full Spectrum Warrior, originally a training aid for the U.S. Army).
