Comcast employee arrested

Animal cruelty on the job

Comcast employee arrested Image 1

A man by the name of Jesus Villalovos, a Comcast (cable company and ISP) employee, was arrested very recently for subjecting a kitten to animal cruelty while on the job in West Valley, Utah. In conjunction with two other men, they spray-painted a kitten, a three month-old grey tabby, and began kicking it nearly to death.

When animal control officers got to it, there were worries of internal injuries and severe shock. Villalovos was arrested on charges of animal cruelty and obstruction of justice (for lying about the incident). The two other men were brought up on Class B misdemeanors.

The kitten will in fact be fine, and witness Mike Merrill says if noone claims it within three days, he will adopt it, where you can bet it'll have a good home.

Have to wonder why these people would do this. I mean, I know people often kill people because that's the life they live in, if they don't kill, they get killed, I suppose. But a kitten? Who's going to give these guys accolades for that? Certainly not Comcast, anyway.

Here's the video of the coverage:

Yeah i'd love to paint them and kick the shit out of them, but they'll probably get off with some light sentence or community service or a fine...

As a cat lover and owner I almost blew a heart valve reading this. Torture is what these men deserve, preying on innocent weaker victims is death by torture worthy imo.

I hope they go to prison and the inmates know what they've done so the proper discourse takes place.

Wouldnt that just continue the cycle, though? I think somebody somewhere has to stop it..whatever side they're on, if anything is to actually change..just a feeling, anyway..

No, chautemoc. That kind of thinking often just lets people carry on doing such things, if you do something like this you should be PUNISHED. So that if their conscience doesn't stop them from doing things, they'll atleast remember the consequences.

Oh, Im not saying there shouldnt be consequences, I think there should be. But do they have to be more violence..?

I think they deserve a much longer sentence then they are going to get.

Dom you are my hero, awesome news you have got here today.
Animal cruelty should be punished with worse methods. Arresting is not enough. An animal life is still a life. If I could, I would spray paint the dude and kick him to death as well.

I'd have to agree that what they did is sick. It's not just because they sprayed a cat and beat it, it's because they would do that at all.

Just to change perspective though: If it were another human being would you change your response? Don't let the fact that it was a cat change anything. We protect them because as the dominant species on this planet (Besides bacteria), and as animals ourselves (No offense), we feel that they have their own rights as well as we do and that we should enforce those rights.

I don't normally hear responses that claim the accused should be treated in kind. "An eye for an eye" as they say. Usually, people are either content having them pay a fine or paying tax dollars to send these people to jail and feed them; a more "civilized" way of dealing with things they claim.

Personally, it depends on which mood I'm in but at the moment I'd have to say I'm more of an "eye for an eye" person.

If your response to this kitten being beaten and sprayed doesn't go in line with someone getting beaten then you need to sort your beliefs out. I just want to make that clear.

Thats pretty upsetting.

And ironic considering the guy that did it is named Jesus.

If it was another human, yeah, I think we would all feel the same way. Figuring it was an unprovoked, act of disgusting inhumanity. Also, the sick freaks would probably target an infant if human. This kind of thing just shows you how spineless the people who do them are.

This isn't news. it has no effect on peoples lives, none at all. It is awful he did that to an animal, but why do we cry bloody murder with animals, but then turn around and turn the other cheek when human violence is right there?

Why do we freak out about a kitten, but defenseless babies are killed all the time? Y'all need to get a handle on what actually matters.

You actually know people that don't care about babies getting killed?

I assure you, if the dude had killed a baby or another person on the job, I'd be writing about that too.

I have a prefect handle on what matters. It may be different then your handle, but mine is still fine. Last time I checked human murder gets an even bigger punishment with an even bigger news coverage. So yeah, don't question my handle on what matters.

i have to admit this is kinda sensationalist... appealing to emotion rather than thought.

This is what i'd find from your average commercial news network. I visit here to get news that i can't be bothered researching myself and to get REAL news (mergers and takeovers, new technologies, impact of new technologies, etc...) not about a kitten.

Sure its sad that somebody would do it, and sure you have to feel a little sympathy for the kitten, but this isn't real news. Also I have no idea what/who Comcast are and am puzzled as too my the hell this is here in the first place.

Comcast is one of the largest telecom companies. I've heard they're even the second largest around the US. They're one of those all in one providers for internet, cable, phone, etc.

Can't believe you've never heard of them. Haven't even seen one of their commercials?

if people don't freak out when the hear murders and such it's because they hear it all the time and THAT is what's no news

@ -X-acious: There live people outside of the USA who have access to the internet and who also visit this site.

Shocking to believe isn't it.

It's a good thing they just made animal cruelty a felony in Utah. I hope these guys get the full extent of what the law can enforce. As a person who lives here, doesn't suprise me.

Haha. Oni, I never question you. I said people in General. Also, Chautomec, if you would write about that, why aren't you flooding neo with stories on peoples abortions yet? Hmm?

@ efg:

Sarcasm aside, yeah, I figured after I typed that post. But for someone I assume is well informed on technology globally and such I thought he (or she?) might have at least heard of Comcast. And after all, this can't be his only source can it? No offense but usually people have more than one source and there's bound to be wind of Comcast somewhere. Then again, whenever I hear of some foreign provider I usually don't remember them since I won't get any service from them.

@ -X- acious
"there's bound to be wind of Comcast somewhere." Ever heard of Telstra of Optus? Yep you truly never give a damn about overseas providers because you never hear about them.

Also @ joe: lol at bringing up abortion. lol at murdering babies. I would've thought a man of science would support abortion and free choice (At least i think you are a man of science)...

hahaha. I am a man of Science, however, I am different in that I have moral values, EFG.

To me, that is just as bad as what these guys did to that kitten. Also, I am not sure I have ever known about you anyways, so exactly how would you know if I am a man of science or not?

"Hey man, whatcha in for?"

"Beat the shit out of a kitten, better watch out"

Seriously, that's messed up.
