We can come out our cardboard boxes around then
After a few delays and further uncertainty surrounding the release of Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PlayStation 3, Konami not only lays the fears to rest but does us all one better by at last officially announcing a final release date for the game. PS3 fans can no look forward to their killer exclusive (as far as we know) this June 12th.
Meanwhile Sony Computer Entertainment announces a MGS4 PS3 hardware bundle for gamers who are looking forward to Konami's latest, but have yet to score a PS3 console. It may come as a surprise that the MGS4 bundle will include an 80GB PS3 model, as opposed to the more recent 40GB version. That ought to be fine with potential PS3 owners, as the 40GB model lacks backwards compatibility with PS2 games anyways.
