The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS
The Legend of Zelda, one of the longest running console titles ever. Now it's comming to the Nintendo DS. At the 2006 Game Developers Conference, Nintendo announce a new title in the works, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. There have been other handheld Zelda stories, but this one looks promising.
The Phantom Hourglass takes advantage of the DS stylus, or your fingertip. So far, the game appears to have a puzzle based dungeon type world. The stylus can be used to throw weapons, steer a ship, and write numbers or symbols. The numbers and symbols? No real idea yet what that's for.
The game features cel-shaded graphics, similar to those we saw in The Wind Waker for GameCube. There's no concrete release date yet, but it is hopeful that sometime later this year we'll all be playing with Link once again.
