The playstation 3 controller might look awful ect. but if you have ever played with one on the e3, if you have then you should know that it has a 10x better grip then the controller of the ps2!

I can't believe people are saying they aren't going to buy the system just because of the controller... To me, it looks like a comfortable design... It reminds me of an off-brand controller for the PSX a friend of mine had, and it was really nice. But seriously, not buying the system because of a controller? wtf???

It seems to me that sony is worrying to much about the graphics, not enough about game play, and are falling short on the development of new games. They have what it takes to be at the top but they aren't playing their card right.

The only thing Sony might need to do is shorten and possibly bulk up the "arm/handle bits" a little..

I tried out the demo o' the 360 the other day and it just plain out sucked! Everything looks exactly the same! It seems to me that they just stuck the XBOX onto a new case to jack-up the price for their decreaseing sales that are making them lose so much money. Whats with the games! They want $50 to $70 bucks for '1' game! They don't even look hi-def if u ask me. Then you need a HD TV to support seeing anything, if any, hi-res graphics. Them accessories are so damn expensive! $30 to $150 bucks JUST for '1' accessory!

Xbox 360 is going to dominate. It has a great system, graphics, and game play. For instance look at Elder Scrolls 4, best graphic, AI system, and game play, and you're not going to find it for that PS3.

Most gaming companies are with Sony and the Playstation franchise STILL...
However the amount of developers signed with XBOX has indeed increased, the amout of developers siding with SCEE/SONY, has not demished...

They have just decided to diversify.
The majority of NextGen FF games will appear on the PS3...however SquareSoft have realised that only making games exclusively for Sony kind of cuts down alot on their targeted market group...thus, it is not an efficient way to make money, and/or run a business...

The PS3, with certain technological provisions, has a certain amount of future-proofing...1080p Resolutions, Blue Ray(IF it becomes the standard), and possible framerates of 120fp/s..which will also increase the graphical quality (when the technology arises) and Expansion also(9 or 10 various ports)...

And since when have we cared so much for the look of consoles? The PS1 was ugly, the N64 was ugly, x-box was ugly, and Ps2 was ugly and that didn't stop anybody from playin it. So why would the looks stop you know...especially when both of these consoles look much better than the past consoles.

And I personally like the PS3 controller. It actually grew on me. I didn't like it at first becuase I though it looked cheesy but now I look at it and see a futuristic controller. Plus it looks comfortable. Its just different from the norm.

I can put myself through playing any game completely twice unless it is sports or fighting. I have read this whole post and for one thing, I remember dudeperson saying that the PS3 controller has 20cm handles. Acutally the handles are about 2 inch's(5cm) long. Now think how big the rest of the controller is. It would fit in your hand perfectly. Your thumb alone would have more access of covering the PS3 controller then your fingers. If you have seen a real comparison your perspective on the controller or the way it looks will completly have changed.
