Hasbro Family Game Night allows players to open their own customizable game room and indulge in EA Hasbro-branded entertainment
Hasbro is already making significant headway into console gaming thanks to its big-name partnership with big-name publisher Electronic Arts. Now they're about embrace console online multiplayer and virtual spaces, starting with Xbox Live. The team announces the "Hasbro Family Game Night" channel for Xbox Live Arcade, billed by EA Hasbro's general manager Chip Lange as an "exclusive EA Hasbro branded destination" for all your EA Hasbro casual gaming needs.
Scheduled to go live this Spring 2009, the channel will be brought to life as a personalized, virtual room which XBL gamers can visit and customize to their liking with trophies, furniture and themes. These spaces are unique to each gamer and can be shared online with friends. Of course, they can also challenge friends over online multiplayer and launch several Hasbro-branded games from their rooms without leaving the channel itself. Titles include: Scrabble (North America only), Battleship, Boggle, Connect Four!, Sorry!, Sorry! Sliders and Yahtzee. The games feature both classic and all-new modes of play, as well as Achievements.
