OFLC reverses decision again
As with F.E.A.R. 2, Fallout 3, and Dark Sector, the Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) has changed its ruling (Shellshock 2 is the only one to have not undergone the same fate), removing another game from the ban list in the country. This time it's The Collective's Silent Hill: Homecoming.
The board's newly updated ratings show the game has been given the maximum MA15+ rating, allowing it to be sold. Here's the specifics:
| Classification | MA 15+ (Not suitable for people under 15. Under 15s must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian) |
| Consumer Advice | Strong horror violence and themes |
| |
| Category | Computer Games |
| Version | REVISED |
That "revised" bit seems to coincide with Atari (the publisher for Australia) and its previously noted plans to edit the violence in the game. No word on exactly what's been altered or removed -- you'll just have to figure that bit out yourself!
