Gravity Bone 'arthouse' indie game getting noticed
Kevin Spiess - Monday, January 5th, 2009 | 12:49PM (PT)

20 minutes to burn? Check out this interesting work...

If you like art in houses and odd and interesting PC games, you might want to check out Citizen Abel: Gravity Bone -- an unique game that has been getting some positive press recently, in 'Best of '08' indie gaming selections. Some say GravityBone isn't as much a 'game' as it is an 'experience' -- but everyone who has it played says that you should check it out immediatly.

In Gravity Bone you help out a spy. The game can be finished in less time than it takes to finish off a large pepperoni pizza, but apparently it is choke full of exciting happenstances, such as car chases, fire-breathing assasains, and femme fatales.

Graphics are provided by the old tired workhouse: the Quake 2 engine. The screenshots show a unique looking game with a low polygon count but a lot of style.

IndieGames Blog, Destructiod ("so consistently cool and weird and imaginative, that it's damn near impossible not to fall in love with"), GameTunnel ("distinct from head to toe and unified in its vision"), and other members of the gaming press of been singing this game praises, so hey, maybe you'll want to check it out for yourself. The game is available on the Blendo Games website.
