Metal Gear Solid Touch, Silent Hill: The Escape, and Frogger, comin' right up
Following Konami's teasing of a new Metal Gear game, it was unveiled by Japanese mag Famitsu last evening, and officially announced in a press release today. What is it? Metal Gear Solid Touch, for Apple's iPhone.
The title will be based in the universe of Guns of the Patriots, with Solid Snake heading on a new mission. At first, eight stages will be available, with more to be added later. Control will be done via the device's touch panel, and will also allow the player to pan in and out of the action. Replay value is said to be enhanced by unlocking bonuses like wallpapers and images in completing key elements within the game.

Next we have Silent Hill: The Escape. This one brings the "doom-laden streets of the series’ titular town" to Apple's device with a first-person perspective. New monsters and the requisite dark, brooding atmosphere are in tow.

Last and least is Frogger, getting his revamped arcade conversion. "A new generation of gamers can experience the classic 80s coin-op" says Konami, as they control the amphibian, trying to get him across a busy street and danger-filled river in his attempt to get to his lily-pad home.

“These are Konami’s first wave of titles for the exciting new devices, and allow us to bring new elements to portable gaming. We welcome the iPhone and iPod Touch to our product line-up and look forward to these initial games,” commented Florian Stronk, Head of Mobile Business Department at Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH.
Damnit, Konami!
