Conglomerate rising
Time Warner Entertainment, a "unit" of media firm Time Warner Inc has bought 10 million shared in Eidos Interactive, raising its stake in the company to 19.92 percent.
The shares were purchased December 11; Time Warner Entertainment currently holds approximately 52.5 million shares in the company.
Eidos, as we know, is behind such series' as Tomb Raider and Hitman. Whether or not the news is related to the company's recent review trickery and arguably waning game quality is up for speculation. It does come in light of this year's earlier annoucement of company losses and restructuring, however.
As of 1022 GMT/522 AM EST, Eidos shares were up 3 percent.
