$150 off PS3 - but its not a price cut

A rose by any other name...

Sony has been denying rumours of a PS/3 price cut to everyone who will listen.

And they were telling the truth - strictly speaking.

On the other hand, you and I may count the $150 credit when you apply for a Playstation Visa card - usable towards the purchase of a PS/3 - as a temporary price cut. The promotion runs from yesterday until Dec.31, just follow the links.

I think they will sell a few PS/3's because of this. Unfortunately it is only open to US residents :-(

    I used to work for a credit card company. I'm willing to bet the way this will work is that if you apply for the card and use it to purchase a PS3 within the time frame, you will receive a $150 credit to your account within 3 months after the purchase date or when the promotion period ends, providing your card is in good standing at the time. So, buy the PS3, make your monthly payments, and then a few months later you'll get your credit.
