Used games sell well so why don't publishers offer trade in programs to buy games back and prevent them from going to Gamestop where they will not make any profit. It should not be hard to get people to stop selling games to Gamestop they barely have any resale value. would you want to trade a game worth a few bucks for extra content downloads?

Future Shop, a huge Canadian-only (I think) electronics chain, just announced yesterday that they are going to offer credit rebates for used games. If you bring in a used title, you'll get a discount on a new game.

This issue is really going to heat up.

Personally I side on the used-game sellers. I don't see why video games, of all the things you can buy on planet Earth, should receive some sort of exemption from being sold used.

Games are set to become the biggest money makers in the entire entertainment industry of the world. I think trying to squeeze out used games is just being greedy.

I also think that often, the goal of DRM is to cut back on used game sales (especially EA's DRM.) Though they would never admit it, reducing game piracy is sometimes actually seems to be the secondary objective of DRM, not the first.

    As I stated before:
    quote me
I really don't see the problem with used games. I buy them, and it helps me save money when I'm on a tight budget or perhaps don't have enough money for the new one.
