First set of screens in

Deus Ex has been on the mind of many a gamer lately since the announcement of a third installment in the series. Naturally, there've been debates as to whether or not it will turn out to be more like Invisible War (to the dismay of most, it seems), or more like the original, which sounds like what we're all hoping for. The game's lead designer Jean-Francois Dugas was kind enough to address the concerns, and outlined last month how the title will compare to previous ones. Only playing it will tell, really, but it seems like it could please the community well.

Anyhow, we have some screenshots for you courtesy of Tiscali, which give the first real look inside the game. They're not super high quality (though they are high resolution), but it gives you a pretty good idea.

Unfortunately while it looks well and good I think my primary worry is in the game itself and how it delivers for mechanics. If so many revivals are falling short I would prefer to know that they're not turning this into another hollow attempt at greatness.

I do anticipate that Deus Ex 3 will be above mediocre considering its past achievements, nonetheless, it is an aberrant game which tends to attract some vilifications at the moment.

The first Dues Ex was alright, the second one failed, and I thought the series was dead. This one doesn't look like it will be that much better than the 2nd...
