These trailers just get better and better

The Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 team continued its tradition of releasing ridiculous and over-the-top trailers today. This one features some astonishing acting, a spot-on Albert Einstein look-alike, giant Japanese robo-samurai, and a large breasted Russian. Of course, all of these are considered to be key elements for a successful trailer, by preeminent game trailer researchers all over the place.

The release of this trailer coincides with Red Alert 3 going gold today. The game should be in stores on October 28th for the PC, while an Xbox version is coming November 11th.

For those of you don't know, Red Alert 3 is real-time strategy game. In the alternate timeline of Red Alert 3, the Japanese are on a terrible rampage across the Earth, with giant robots or some such. In this alternate take on reality, Russia has tapped the genius of Nicola Tesla to build massive blimps that shoot lighting. Not to be outdone by Tesla, Albert Einstein built a time machine to take out Adolf Hitler -- this of course back-fired, and created a war even more devastating than World War II, (which didn't happen), in Red Alert 3

In this alternate timeline, EA's Bil Budge fell into an open manhole in Cincinnati and never completed his work on the seminal Pinball Construction Set, for the Apple II. EA never recovered from this setback. Instead of making games, they turned to designing head gear for Africa's Basarwa Bushmen, who, in Red Alert 3, where recently annexed by the new Sino-Soviet Alliance, then transformed into deadly cybernetic Savannah shock troops to fight the onslaught of samurai sword carrying robo-ninjas invading Calgary.

Really ?! Aren't RTS games much better on the PC with a mouse?

I read that the PS3 was delayed because of difficulties with the design of the PS3. Anyways, it will not be coming out soon it seems.

I hope that it will come out in PS3 format in the near future. The problem is that most of the game developers don't know the ins and outs of PS3's architecture, that's why, they took a significant amount of time to develop on PS3, Of coures, it will come to PS3!!!! The developers and publishers are always going to look to maximise the profit of their game titles.

Ah, but the question is whether the time and effort invested in making is work for the PS3 is worth it.

Well, I don't really care what consoles it comes out on tbh, RTS games are made to be played with a mouse!

This game looks so stupid.... japanese ninja-mechs? You can see this game has been made by pathetic nerds from miles away. RA used to at least make some sense before, now they've just ruined it. Does anyone actually think ninja-mechs and other anime influences in this game are cool? Anyone? The story is dumb aswell, even for c&c.

without einstien, there are no nukes to scare japan so they joined the war, makes perfect sence in this alternate timeline(remember 2 nukes made japan surrender in WWII)

^^^ Nukes made the Japanese surrender, but they already lost the war by the the time the nukes came out anyways. Ironically, the nukes probably saved a great deal of life, because if it wasn't for those, the Allies would have to invade and fight like house to house across the entire country.
