Hudson Entertainment has announced today the upcoming release of Bomberman Ultra, an all-new Bomberman game for digital download on the PlayStation Network. 

Scheduled to launch worldwide on PSN this winter, Bomberman Ultra will include 4-person local and 8-person online multiplayer, full character customization, and high-def graphics players might expect from a PlayStation 3 title.  14 arenas will be available to players, as well as over 50 character costumes with more than 150,000 possible combinations.

Sabine Duvall, VP of Product Development at Hudson Entertainment, commented on the new Bomberman title:

"The Bomberman series is one of the most popular brands in the history of Hudson Entertainment.  Bringing Bomberman Ultra to the PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system is a natural progression for the series and signifies our faith that the brand is beloved by gamers across all platforms."

They really do have faith in the brand.  Earlier this week, Hudson Entertainment launched Bomberman Blast for WiiWare on the Nintendo Wii.
