24 Hour downtime coming with new features.
It's never good when there's a huge downtime on Live but at least Microsoft is putting out the notice early and on top of that they're noting that a lot of this 24hour downtime will be spent focusing on upgrades for the new features to come this Fall in the system update. For those that forgot there is a massive overhaul coming to the Xbox 360 user interface including avatars, social sections and improved access to the marketplace.
The downtime is set to arrive on the 29th of this month so mark your calendars to avoid needless stress over not being able to access the service.
Here's the full word from MS:
"Ok boys and girls, Xbox LIVE is having a scheduled downtime on Monday, September 29 starting at 12:01am Pacific Time. It will be down for 24 hours as we prepare for the cool new stuff coming your way in the new Xbox experience."
