Early preview finds one of biggest features MIA
A recent preview of Sony's much anticipated Home for the PlayStation 3, it was discovered that video sharing was missing from the PSN virtual world. Sony had advertised the ability to share videos from a player's Home, but in the beta version, this capability seems to have been cut.
When first announced in 2007, video sharing was one of the most news-worthy features PlayStation Home had to offer, and now its apparent absence is stirring a bit of worry from many expectant fans.
PS3 Home director Jack Buser has said the company will be "looking into" adding the video sharing feature, and Sony will be approaching user-generated content as a "Lego-block" structure, meaning they provide the tools while users provide the labor and crafting. Otherwise, there's no word on whether video sharing will be added at a later date or if it has been permanently dropped.
At least Sony hasn't withdrawn its promise to release Home by the end of this year.
