Analysts impressed by company's presentation

Activision Blizzard appears to have made a good impression on the analysts who attended their analyst's day presentation.  The general consensus among attendees is that Activision will benefit immensely from its merger with Vivendi.

During the presentation, Activision Blizzard announced plans to increase the number of Guitar Hero SKUs by "nearly double" in 2009, which Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter considers to be quite "impressive."

CEO Bobby Kotick has also revealed Activision Blizzard's plans to make James Bond an annual franchise, with a second game scheduled to come out next year.  This came as a surprise to many of the analysts, considering there's no James Bond film planned for 2009.  Another unexpected development at yesterday's presentation is Infinity Ward's involvement in the upcoming Call of Duty game, following Treyarch's CoD: World at War.

Doug Creutz of Cowen Group predicts the company can generate over $1 billion in cash flow this coming year.

...Is the best news I have heard this month. Hopefully this will be up to the standard that COD 4 set, if not better.

Infinity Ward is not involved in Call of Duty: World at War. It will still be better than CoD4 though.

You are correct, sorry for the misunderstanding. I should have proofread it before publishing. Thanks for catching that!
