Well, it could be worse..
Microsoft's Games for Windows page has lifted the veil on the upcoming PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV. For non-console owners, or those who just prefer to game on their computer (see below on why), you'll have a couple of months to bulk up your configuration if necessary. Here you are, then:
| | |
| | | OS: | Windows XP SP2 | | Processor: | Dual core processor (Intel Pentium D or better) | | RAM: | 2GB | | Hard Drive: | 18GB free hard disk space | | Video Card: | 512MB Direct3D 10 compatible video card or Direct3D 9 card compatible with Shader | | Drive: | DVD-ROM dual-layer drive | |
Odd that Microsoft reccomends its own SP2 over SP3 (something I'd likely do, but I'm not Microsoft, y'know). Naturally, these are the recommended requirements, so if you're not quite there yet, you may be able to run the game smoothly on lower settings.
Grand Theft Auto IV releases November 18 on the PC. So it's said, this version will feature expanded multiplayer capabilities, better controls, fewer bugs, free bonus episodes/missions, better graphics, and tons of mod potential.
Damn you pentium 4
