Gory sequel seeing worldwide success
An Xbox 360 exclusive, Team Ninja's latest project Ninja Gaiden II currently enjoys an average critics' rating of 81out of 100, according to Metacritic.com. The site also lists an 8.0 out of 10 based on user reviews for the game. It seems that the world still has a soft spot for Ryu Hayabusa -- or the insane amount of gore and underdressed women.
Now, Microsoft and TECMO are proud to announce that since its release in June 2008, Ninja Gaiden II has sold over one million copies worldwide.
Remaining true to the franchrise, Ninja Gaiden II taunts gamers with mind-numbing challenges around every corner, sporting an arsenal of deadly weapons (the scythe is always a classy choice), new gameplay features, and an in-game environment spanning the globe. As expected, it's an over-the-top experience that really pushes the player to the brink of carpal tunnel syndrome.
Currently, the game is still selling for $59.99 with an M-rating.
