..and it's looking real good
The industry may be rough for companies like NVIDIA and Midway at the moment, but Atari are smiling all the way to the bank.
The long-running game publisher and developer announced today results for its first quarter of fiscal 2009 and has filed its Quarterly Report for the quarter ending June 30, 2008. The results? Way up from last year.
Net revenue was $40.3 million versus $10.4 million for the same period the year previous. Publishing net revenue was $36.7 million, versus $9.7 million, while distribution revenue was $3.6 million, versus $0.7 million.
Net income, meanwhile, was $3.5 million, or $0.26 income per share, compared to net loss of $11.9 million, or $0.89 loss per share compared to the same time last year.
There won't be a conference call following the announcement, though further details (i.e financial statements and accompanying footnotes) are contained in the Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q and can obtained via http://www.atari.com.
