New peripherals available for Rock Band and Guitar Hero

The Ant Commandos, a leading designer and manufacturer of video game peripherals and accessories, has just shipped their latest product for Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour

TAC's Illuminated Drumsticks come in two colors: flame red and electric blue, with a suggested retail price of $19.99 (both sticks are included, of course).  The sticks will light up whenever players strike any surface, providing a potentially dazzling light show or just one hell of a distraction.  Luckily, drummers normally sit behind the rest of their group.

Aside from its strike-activated illumination, the drumsticks also provide a realistic look and feel with a comfort grip in the handle area.  So if you've ever accidentally flung a drumstick at one of your friends, this might be a purchase worth considering.  The Illuminated Drumsticks require 2 standard AAA batteries, which should last for months "under normal playing condition", says TAC.

The drumsticks are already available for pre-order through various online retailers.
