Rock Band Live Tour arrives this Fall Image 1

Harmonix, MTV and EA are pretty much going insane this Fall with a huge tour to help promote Rock Band 2, how insane? Well they're packing up Panic at the Disco, Dashboard Confessional with special appearances by Plain White T's and The Cab and hitting the road for a giant tour to let people experience the game and perform live on stage between sets in front of those attending the show. Currently the company plans to launch chances for bands to play via local radio contests, national contests and of course provide some chances to get on stage at the show.

Tickets for the event go on sale on August 8th at 10AM and will hit the following locations.

Seeing as they had The Who do their launch party at E3 I think they figured it'd be a bit costly to have them do the tour. Although from the sound of things MTV is in charge of the tour itself not Harmonix so that might explain the drastic shift of attention for bands.
